I had my phone stolen here. I’m not sure if it was one of the staff or another client. Either way, I could never go back.

Massage Green on Orchard Lake definitely gets 5 stars. I called last minute(3:15) and got in for a 4:00 hour massage. For $ 29 it’s totally worth it! My masseuse was Destiny and she was so friendly and made you feel comfortable. The facilities are very clean and modern. I’d definitely recommend MG for anyone looking for a good quality massage.

TIP Love the waiting area… Away from reception area(they are nice, tho!) and any errant bursts of cold air from the entrance door. SUMMARY For the introductory price $ 29.95, this retail massage was solid and worth trying. MYEXPERIENCE Affordable luxury is an apt description. The company(which has stores in Michigan and California) has a very nice interior layout. I was able to get a last minute slot the day after running my first half marathon. I tried my normal places, but they were all booked until December(oops!). The receptionist was professional and friendly. My therapist wasn’t outrageously friendly, but polite. The heated table was a nice touch, as were the hot towels. Like another commenter, I was concerned that the towels would become cold. This didn’t happen for me. The therapist covered my back with the blanket(keeping it warm), while working on each leg individually. It went something like: 1) Hot towel on one leg and massaged to warm muscles 2) Towel removed and massage commences 3) Other leg was dry and snug until therapist switched the leg. The back massage was very good. The focus areas were not focused on very much: The lower back and glutes(ie the BUTT muscles). Some of those are better treated through Thai massage anyways, but I just ran 13.1 miles. I can’t massage my own glutes very well. I would have asked for more focus in that area, except she waited until closer to the end of the session. I don’t know if I would go back for a full priced massage, but their membership prices are very reasonable, especially compared to MassageLuxe, AND the massages are transferable to anyone in your household. Something I would definitely consider.

While the therapists themselves are awesome, the management is AWFUL! Save your money and spend it somewhere where you will be valued as a person, and not insulted. If you do decide to give it a try, avoid having to deal with Calvin«the manager». Not only do their managers not understand their company policies, but they threaten to «end the call» when you start telling them what their policy states!!!

Pleasantly surprised at the ambiance inside, given that it’s in a shopping center on a main road. The waiting room had a little fireplace and beautiful stone work. Very soothing. I was able to get an appointment same-day. And the price point($ 30 introductory) was more than reasonable. My massage was a little strange. When the therapist came to get me from the waiting room, she was holding her bottle of lotion and her hands were still lotiony; she was wiping them off on a towel, so I question whether she had washed her hands between clients. Ick. I have had many massages in my life, but this is the first time a therapist started out with me lying on my back. She did my feet, but really just rolled the ankles — didn’t even touch the soles of my feet(they weren’t dirty — I swear! I had actually just come from a spa pedicure!) She spent an exorbitant amount of time maneuvering the table up and down, adding and removing bolsters, etc. and probably spent as much time doing all that as she did actually massaging me. When she finally did my back and neck, she covered me with hot wet towels. At first this felt nice, but she kept layering them until there were probably 5+ towels on my back. A good 5 – 10 minutes later, the towels were just cold and damp and I was getting chills; had to ask her to remove them; not sure when she would have done that, had I not asked. Again, for the price point, it was a fine massage and she got out the knots that I was having an issue with. But I wouldn’t have paid any more than $ 30 for this service. I question whether their employees are licensed.

I was skeptical of this place having read some reviews(mixed) and the fact that when I called to confirm my appointment for 2pm the day before my appointment, it was not on their system(however, my other info was), but it was ok. I woke the day of my appointment with a dreaded TMJ/sinus/neck headache — same par as a migraine and my usual sacrum pain & numbness in my foot from it. I arrived plenty early(20 min. when they ask 15) and filled out the papework in a lovely, calm room with no tv(thank goodness!) and soothing music. On the paperwork I circled the areas I wanted concentration on. I waited for my therapist to come get me, which she did at 2:02. After a brief few questions she left me to disrobe and get under the sheet. She gave me a little longer than I really needed, eating further into my actual massage time, but not too long. My thereapist was quiet and nice. I am a wimp so, when I asked her to ease up here and there on the pressure, she obliged. It was a nice massage. I would have liked a wee bit more attention to the areas of concern I had put on the paperwork but I understand there was only so much time and it was for a full body massage. When finished she left me to dress as my leisure and brought me some water to drink. Unfortunatley I still had my headache & lower back ache but, that wasn’t her fault. She did what she could do in the time she had. The introductory fee fits nicely with their slogan of «Affordable Luxuray» but the regular price is pretty standard. Apparently there is some kind of membership rate that is less. I may check that out. All in all, I’d recommend trying the place. I would go back.
