LaVida Massage of Farmington Hills

I had a gift certificate for a prenatal massage. I made an appointment a few weeks in advance and told the receptionist I was 33 weeks pregnant at the time (36 weeks at the time of the massage). They did have me down for a prenatal, however the table wasn’t set up properly because they failed to read the notes.
So I’m taken in to a room, (I’ve had many massages before) and the room feels very dull. Not relaxing at all. Just a vase with rocks from ikea and a metal wall art piece. The music was bad, it was like dolphins and whales screaming the whole time.
My masseuse was fine. She was a little tougher than I would expect a prenatal to be, and on the sheet I filled out prior to the massage, I wrote that my low back and hips were areas of attention that id like focused on… My low back was barely touch and my hips were touched at all. I’m not sure if she was scared of touching my butt, but she could have massaged over the sheet if she was uncomfortable… Still relaxing nonetheless.
All in all, a massage is a massage. It’s generally more relaxing than not, right? I’m just disappointed that my low back and hips weren’t massaged when that was the main reason I was there.

I love this place. I was greeted with friendly smiles and it’s so pretty. The massage therapist took me to a nice room where the table was already warm for me. They even gave me free aromatherapy. It was exactly what I needed. Thanks guys it was great!
