Did a good job, just took forever to finally get to me. Got in at 3 and waited an hour. Get there when they open to avoid the wait

I was super disappointed with this salon. I usually go to Geen at About Face in Royal Oak, she is amazing and has gotten my eyebrows looking great over the last year. The woman in this salon(Raj?) completely destroyed them. I don’t understand how this is possible since the shape was there and she just to clean them up and apparently she does this all day every day. They are asymmetrical! Also, it hurt a lot and my skin is damaged in a few places. I wish I hadn’t gone here. About Face is twice as expensive but I would have paid 4 times as much to avoid this experience. My advice is to avoid this place.

All the women who work at this salon are extremely rude, I waited over 45mins even after booking an appointment.

I’ve had my eyebrows threaded here twice in the last couple months. I purchased a groupon with 3 vouchers. My brows have a nice arch & I like them, but I wanted the strays cleaned up. after the first visit, I looked closely in my mirror at home & found that I needed to pluck a significant amount of hair to clean up my brows. Wasn’t that what the threading was for? ok, for the price I decided to try them again today. Big mistake. Since having it done today, I’ve had a couple people point out that my right eyebrow is much thinner on the side than the left eyebrow. They are right! I’m afraid to return for fear that I’ll end up with no brows. Stay away!

I went here using a Social Living coupon. They are not overly friendly or talkative, but I thought the threading lady did a superb job. She was thorough and worked hard to give me equal curves to both brows, which she managed to do even though it’s not a natural line for me on one of them. I have been to the fancy salons for this and I though she did a much better job. Now I don’t want to try a different place!

There used to be a nice, friendly, older lady who did eyebrow waxing here. She was the best woman I have ever been to. However, that was months ago, and I haven’t seen her around lately. I tried to get an eyebrow wax here a couple of weeks ago, but they were too busy. I walked inside and neither of the two stylists bothered to look up from their clients or acknowledge me. Fine, okay, I’ll sign in and wait. But I didn’t have 45 minutes… Because I really liked the lady that had been waxing my eyebrows, I decided to stop back in last week to give it another shot. I walked in and neither of the two stylists looked up from their clients and acknowledged me. Okay, fine, I’ll sign in and wait. There were three people ahead of me. While I was waiting one stylist came to the waiting area and said«hi» to someone she obviously knew or recognized. She smiled at her, looked at the paper, and asked that client if she was there for waxing. The client said«no», and the stylist moved along to the name at the top of the list, and took her back for threading. I realize that their business is primarily threading — however, they offer waxing, and advertise it. So if they weren’t able to do a waxing at that time, why didn’t the stylist look around at the five women in the waiting area and ask who wanted a wax? It would have saved them this bad review… … Because when it was my turn, I walked to the back, sat in the«waxing» chair, and when the stylist came over she told me that I couldn’t get waxed because the girl who does it was busy. I told her that she should have mentioned that when she saw on the sign-up sheet that I wanted waxing, and she said that it was my responsibility to tell them what I want when I walk in. She was rude, and I’ve never actually been so irritated with a salon before. Her attitude really hurt because I had loved East/West on previous visits. But they are only as good as their worst employee and that rude woman has finally convinced me that I shouldn’t go back. For eyebrow waxing I recommend Fabulous Hair on Middlebelt & Eleven Mile, near the Kroger.

I come to this salon regularly to have my eyebrows threaded. The prices are pretty good, with eyebrow threading being only $ 7. This is a steal compared to the $ 12 offered at the store in Twelve Oaks Mall. The ladies are not chatty, but are quick and do a great job(with minimal pain).

Um, NO. Just no. I know it’s cheap($ 7 for eyebrow threading), but the eyebrow lady was extremely pushy and unprofessional. For example, I accidentally let go of holding my skin taut for a second, and instead of calmly telling me to put my hand back, she yelled, «Nonononoono!!!» Also, when she wanted me to let go of holding it, she said, «Leave it.» I didn’t immediately understand her vague request, which led her to more urgently and loudly tell me to «Leave it! Leave it!!» I dropped my hands and the beast was tamed yet again. I say«beast» also because she made these awful grunting and low moaning sounds as she worked, making me physically sick to my stomach… ahhh! Finally, when she was done she told me that it would be $ 11. When I questioned her, she first firmly repeated the price, then said, «Oh sorry. I thought you got your upper lip too. Yes you’re right, it’s $ 7.» Hmmmm… maybe I’d be more sympathetic if she didn’t just finish the job a mere 2 seconds ago, and suck at everything she did! Worst offense(other than the fact that her name was also Sheela): My eyebrows were also exactly the same shape as they were before I came in, minus ½ of the original stray hairs. Yes, that’s right, she couldn’t even get the damn strays out properly. My friend got hers done with the same result. As an added bonus, she somehow managed to cut me with the thread and now I have a scab on my brow bone. And she didn’t put any aloe or cooling cream on our skin afterwards. Quite sadly, her previous customer came back into the store as I was getting my brows destroyed, asking for«some cream or something cuz it’s burning.» Lolz! Never come here, you hear me? Nevahhh!!!

They did a good job with threading, and it was super cheap! I paid $ 6 for eyebrows and my friend paid $ 3 for upper lip, not bad at all.

Not sure about the Medical Spa part but this is THE salon I visit to get the perfect eyebrow! I usually can just walk in, wait no more than seven minutes and get a perfect arch from the threading masters. And for six bucks, I walk out a happy gal! The salon itself seems quite basic with a few styling stations but they do a whole load of services there from permanent hair straightening, threading, facials, waxing and so on. I have received waxing services here as well, but I will stick to my usual place for that. This place also boasts an easy-to-get-to location, right off Orchard Lake Rd and is surrounded by some Indian and Middle Eastern businesses. So if that threading service leaves you peckish, stop by Royal Sweets or Patel Bros for your samosa fix!
