I’ve been here a number of times with friends and I’ve never had one bad thing to say about the Rolling Spring Roll. Affordable, unique, and the best place for Phở I know of in the area; will be back again for sure!

Spring rolls were stuffed with delicious pork mixture and served with fresh cilantro and lettuce. The bahn-mi was bursting with flavor and the phở was fragrant with cinnamon and spice. Delicious Vietnamese coffee. A definite return.

I live on Long Island and it’s very hard to find a really good phở restaurant. Finally I found one. The waiter are very nice and friendly, and the food was amazing. We ordered chicken wings, spring rolls, 2 beef phở, and 1 seafood phở. Overall the food was good and the waiters were friendly

I don’t know what all the negative reviews are about. I called and placed a to go order the person who answered the phone was so nice and personable. Took my order told me 20 minutes and was so professional. I got there in exactly 20 minutes and my food was ready for me. The restaurant was crowded and I was greeted warmly paid for my food and was told to have a nice day. On to the food, I ordered a summer roll minus the pork and a lemongrass hot bowl with noodles. I have to say everything was so delicious! So fresh, made me feel like what I was eating was so light and refreshing. So much food that I still have leftovers for lunch today. Great job! Keep up the great work! I will definitely be back!

I’ve been on the hunt for good Vietnamese food on Long Island so I gave this place a shot. There were two waiters and about 4 tables of people when I came in around 4pm on a Tuesday. The service was ridiculously slow. The food came out fast once the waiter remembered to take our order but then he never came back to see how it was or if we needed anything. I don’t expect perfect service, especially when going to a small place but for how few people were there I also don’t expect to be ignored so the waiters can chat with each other in the back. I wanted an extra lime for my phở since they only gave us one wedge with an XL bowl(which seems a bit stingy to me) and by the time I got to ask I was almost done. We ordered the XL phở ga. It was mostly broth and not nearly enough noodles for two people to share, even with sharing other food too. The broth was cloudy(phở should have clear broth) and really underseasoned. Chicken broth from any Chinese food restaurant has more flavor than this had. We also got a bahn mi which was pretty good but not put together very well. Some parts had vegetables and others didn’t, some areas had meat and others didn’t, the sauce wasn’t evenly distributed, etc. I got che chuoi for dessert. The flavors were good but the tapioca was really overcooked and mushy. The food isn’t bad, it’s really okay, but it definitely doesn’t taste how it should. I think most people who are raving about their phở have never actually had real phở before. The only good Vietnamese I’ve found somewhat locally is Bun-ker which is a bummer because it’s a trek to get there.

This place was great, down to their choice of beer to have on tap. Small and casual, with simple but incredibly flavorful food. Portions range from light to huge, and the prices are great. I’ve read a lot of complaints about the service and I think people need to have a little perspective. It’s a small family run restaurant, with a small staff, that does a lot of business. They do a lot of business because they make great food for a great price, cut them some slack. You might have to wait a bit for food it’s worth it.

The phở broth is outstanding! It is a rich broth, full of flavor. The dining room is quite small. You will probably have to wait a bit for a table. The place is busy and seems a bit understaffed.

****food is awesome!!! Service is SLOWANDRUDE. I was annoyed before I was even able to place my Togo order. The lady on the phone put me on hold for over 2 mins but only put it down on the counter. So after hanging up and calling back I only got a busy tone. She preceded not to answer 2 more times and hung up on me once Bc she was too busy to take my order. I understand being busy and understaffed. But that should not taken out on me. The food: love love the chicken Phở. Got there tho and there was little broth in my soup. Upon asking for more I was told there was an extra charge. I opted out. I reviewed my order before leaving. I had maybe 10 bean sprouts. The rude lady at the counter told me again there would be a charge for more. I showed her what I got and said that I didn’t want extra just the rest that my order was suppose to have. She got very Nasty with me and yelled saying extra charge. After I light argument she got a cook form the kitchen to look at my order. He then said there wasn’t enough and happily gave me more after the lady had been arguing with me.(This whole time she had a line out the door and 4 empty tables but continued to argue over bean sprouts) ****food is awesome!!! Service is SLOWANDRUDE.

Farmingdale Now open, service is horrendous. Out of control staff are running around getting nothing done. What happened to this place? Just stopped at Syosset. What a difference. Will go there, not Farmingdale. They did a great job in the new store.

I can’t believe I haven’t found this sooner. This is probably one of the best Vietnamese places in Long Island and the prices are great too. The food here is amazing especially the phở and the Vietnamese sandwiches. I usually have Vietnamese in queens but I am glad I found this spot close to me in Farmingdale. The location is great since it’s right in town along with a bunch of other restaurants close by. Whoever loves Vietnamese definitely need to try this spot!

5 out of 5 stars! If I could give them 100 stars, I would in a heartbeat. Let me start by mentioning that I drive about 35 minutes to get here from where I live, and it’s worth it! The Phở is top notch. The spring rolls, their Bahn Mi — it’s all really fresh, amazing and delicious. I never leave hungry and the staff are so friendly. One kind girl even knows me and my fiancés orders by heart. I love their simple décor, and the fact that they play, pretty much, exclusively 80s music — which is my favorite kind of music. They are also very fairly priced: 2 bowls of phở, 4 tofu spring rolls, 1 bahn mi and a can of seltzer typically come out to around $ 40. Many places I’ve gone to, often cost nearly twice as much as that for the 2 of us. There is another place on Long Island, which is pretty good, but my first experience there was awful, so rolling spring roll will always, always be my number one choice.

I’m happy there’s a decent Vietnamese spot somewhat near me. This is my 3rd time here so I’m sure it’s worth traveling for. Although my girl Tiff in Cali says they’re not Spring Rolls because spring rolls aren’t fried. IDK what they should be called but I’ll just call them very good tasting. I haven’t had their«Summer» rolls yet so I can’t review them. The Phở was pretty good too. I got the beef phở to go and I really appreciated that they kept the broth & meat separate from the noodles & veggies. Although the broth wasn’t as deep flavored as I’ve had before it was very good. I’m not a Vietnamese food expert so I’m only giving my opinion on what I’ve previously had & how this compares. There was plenty of meat including the meatballs. The Banh Mi Classic was good but lacked the ‘umph I’ve had in others. I hate to admit it but I thought Lil Left Coast did a way better Pork belly Banh Mi but I didn’t feel like driving that far. But the Beef Satay Banh Mi I thought was excellent with the peanut sauce and pre requisite pickled veggies condiments. That will be my go to Ban Mi at this spot. All in all we don’t have many choices for Vietnamese food here on Long Island, but this is a fairly good choice even if there was.

This review isn’t going to be the best, but I need to start with the fact that I had never had Vietnamese food before. Okay, with that being said, I definitely am not a fan. I went ahead and went full on phở, but for a first-timer, it might have been a mistake. I just could not stomach the meat floating around in a bowl of noodles. None of it was appetizing whatsoever. I tried to salvage the meal by ordering spring rolls, which weren’t so bad, but still not my cup of tea. I suppose if you like Vietnamese food, you will like this place. If not, you might want to try another eatery in the area.

Originally my review was going to be 3 stars, but I have to remember, we’re in Long Island and not Chinatown and for being in Long Island, I suppose this is a good alternative. For starters, I’m used to the massive bowls of phở. There’s no other size but enormous. When I asked how big the extra large was, the lady was pretty confident that I wouldn’t be able to finish it, so I stuck with the regular size. As soon as they brought the bowl over, I immediately upgraded my bowl and even then, there still wasn’t enough. Onto the more important things, the taste. The broth was decent and comparable to what I’m used to. Still not the best and not quite close to it, but a good replacement. The phở isn’t chock full of meats and extras, just 2 – 3 pieces of beef with about 2 – 3 meatballs and some onions. The spring rolls weren’t even close to what I was expecting, so if you’re expecting your usual viet spring rolls, I’d stay away from these. All in all, while it wasn’t what I was hoping and expecting, I will say it is a good alternative since we aren’t in Chinatown.(I still need to get used to that and realize that nothing will ever be the same as Chinatown) The service though was amazing and they were quick with the food. When I ordered the extra large after I got my meal, they actually brought me a second phở with meat, which I was surprised and very appreciative for. With all that, I will come back here again. They’re super friendly and quick here and this place does satisfy my phở craving. A little pricier and the menu is just the basics, but it’ll do for now.

I don’t at all think this place blows anyone away, it has more of a fast foody atmosphere while trying to be somewhere more upscale which just doesn’t work, I think you pay just a little too much considering how hungry you are afterwards but everything is good. Fine service, good food, decent place, not amazing. Not bad at all. I have a feeling they will do well as there is a lot lacking when it comes to Vietnamese options, I just with they had a more extensive Vietnamese menu, maybe a little fusion would go a long way. I hope it inspires more Vietnamese startups on the island. I will definitely be back to try more I’m just not in a rush.

Okay so my friend took me here after I’d be hearing about it for a while and wanted to give it a shot. I had been searching for good Vietnamese food on LI. And this spot was right under my nose the whole time. After my first visit, I was back within days. So that sums up my review right there. I really don’t think I need to go on, but I will… Service is great, food is better. The place is always packed yet they keep the wait to a minimum. The summer rolls are amazing. I haven’t tried the spring rolls yet(oops, it is in the name) but don’t worry, I’ll be back real soon for those. The lemongrass chicken noodle bowl was great, but the angus beef was even better. You won’t leave here feel guilty about your diet or your wallet– it’s a healthy meal and you’ll leave full spending a little more than you’d pay at Panera. In fact, my first visit there, I had the summer rolls, and left with a goody bag of half my noodle bowl. I stopped for a drink at the Republic after, and forgot my leftovers. I realized when I got home, and wanted to cry. I was so looking forward to revisiting those later at night, I almost turned around. But gas prices are going up. So instead I just came back days later!
