Anabel is still delivering amazing results! If you’re looking to update your hair color and aren’t afraid to be bold, she is the one to go to! She is a little pricey, but its definitely worth the money!

Anna is a good stylist and I walked out with a haircut that I really liked. This is a no frills place and a good value with the Groupon.

Not happy with the cut I received from Anna. I came in with a medium length, straight across a-​line Bob and said I wanted it shorter with layers in the back so my ponytail curled under instead of flipped out. That was my goal: cute ponytail. I said think «stay at home mom» (meaning I don’t do anything but wash and air dry) and showed her pictures of what I was thinking. She said she was going to texture it with a razor to give it volume and those layers so it was a thinner ponytail. She literally took half my hair off in a layer around my ears (doesn’t fit in a ponytail anymore) and left me with the tiniest rat tail that comes together in the back. She said, «in about an inch growth your ponytail will be great.» UHH, I asked for that NOW. Then somehow she managed to cut the longest piece by my face in my supposed to be a-​line and asked me if it was like that before because she didn’t remember cutting it. Again, UHH. Nope, remember you said it was so bland because it was all one length. Not happy and my choices are hide it with clips or go pixie and that defeats the purpose of a ponytail. She was sweet and seemed to think she knew what I wanted but apparently didn’t hear a single word I said. I hate it and my choices are slim until it grows out. :-(

Excellent, awesome, must try, worth it. She is pretty expensive for where her salon is located, how it is but she knows her stuff. The only feedback I have for her is to get some real help. She juggles taking phone calls, setting appointments, attending to clients, talking to solicitors. All this adds up to the total time you end up spending at her salon. I was there for 3 hours getting highlights. A lot of that was due to her doing other stuff that somebody else could have done.

I’ve been going to her (Annabell) for 5 years and literally refuse to see anyone else. I cannot recommend her enough. Very friendly lady who will do anything to make you pleased about your hair and takes her time. If you want quality haircuts, this is the place. Great quality and price!

I have always been very hesitant about letting people touch my hair but Anabel did a great job!
She is super friendly and very conscious to her guests needs. I definitely will be coming back and recommending her to friends and family.

It’s taken me awhile to get to a point where I could write this review, so pardon the delay.
I bought a Groupon for highlights and a haircut at Exotic Hair Bar. When I got there, I explained that I loved my hair as it was but needed a touch up on the highlights and maybe an inch or so off the length. Again, I stressed that I really liked my hair already and just needed slight modifications.
My highlights, which had been really beautiful and natural-​looking, were turned into zebra stripes! Awful. Then I had to actually ask for my haircut, even though it was included in the Groupon. Honestly, I should have kept my mouth shut and just left, but the good reviews left me with some goodwill. However, I received a completely different haircut than I started with — not a quick trim like I had requested. My hair ended up being cut quickly into one length and barely dried before I was shown the door. I have super thick hair so basically had to sport a triangle-​looking cut before I could get it fixed.
She also told someone who called that they could come in for a haircut while I was there. I sat with my head in the sink for 20 minutes (yes, I timed it, it was so uncomfortable) while the other person was being attended to, and another 10 or so after my hair was washed while those two chatted.
I’ve been to many hair salons in the past (and have been received services from salon owners to trainees), and this was my worst-​ever experience.

I moved to Dallas a few month ago and i needed a haircut, so I looked thru Groupon and found Anabel. This is the first time in a very long time that i am 100% satisfied with my haircut! She is amazing! I will continue to get a haircut with her forever… Thanks Anabel

Went here for a blowout Anabel is great. One star off for the price — $ 55 seems steep for a basic blowout.

Anabel was amazing! I’ve been to many places but no one has been able to layer my hair exactly the way I want it except for Anabel! She’s also very sweet and makes you feel at home in the salon! Highly recommend!

This place was very disappointing. The lady didn’t listen to what I wanted on my hair, she just did what SHE wanted. Cut it WAY too short. Will definitely not be back. The hair cut was $ 45 and that was ridiculous! She didn’t use scissors, but a razor instead.

Okay, so this is my experience. I went months without having my highlights touched up, as you can see in my «before» photo. My roots were long and pretty dark. Thoughts of an ombré were running through my mind. Just a few more months and I would just about have one! Anyway, decided to go ahead and lighten back up for the summer. I checked out reviews for this salon on Unilocal and they are really good. I also like the highlights some of her clients posted photos of here on Unilocal.So, I thought I’d give her a try. I’m relatively new to Dallas, moving here 6 months ago. I hadn’t found a stylist yet that I was satisfied with. I wasn’t expecting Anabele to do as good of a job as she actually did on my hair. The problem is when my roots get that long, they take in a lot of color and quick! So, I usually end up with bright, blochy/​spotty highlights on my roots in contrast to the rest of my hair. I hardly ever leave without the stylist dumping about ¼ of a bottle of toner on my hair.
This was not the case this time! She listened to me try to explain what I wanted about 5 times lol. Make my new growth look good, full highlights, but also put color inbetween the highlights to try and fix this ugly dull color my old highlights have turned the rest of my hair to. And make it look NATURAL! She explained that I am actually asking for lowlights, which she charged an extra $ 75 for. She showed me the color swatches and picked one that she thought would look really good. She held it up to my hair and yep, looked real nice.
A few hours later, I walked out of there all fixed up, looking very natural. NO TONER applied! No spots/​bloching at all. It looks so natural. Even underneath my hair looks natural. Amazing! I have found my stylist. P. S. My «after» photo really does no justice. It looks so much better than that in person.

Anabel was great! I’ve lived in Dallas 2 years and have yet to find a good hairdresser. I found a Groupon for Exotic Hair Bar on a Monday, called and got an appointment for full highlights for 1:00, same day. I have super thick hair and have never been highlighted in less than about 4 hours. Anabel did full highlights, wash and dry in 1.5 hours! It looks amazing and I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Anabel!

I have had such a difficult time finding someone in Dallas that knows how to cut my hair. Anabel knew what she was doing and spent a good amount of time figuring out exactly what I want and actually recommending some ideas. She made my hair feel so healthy and light afterwards. She also straightened my hair by blow drying which no one has ever been able to do and it was so straight and soft. I am so glad I found her and will be going to her from now on! She is amazing!

Annabelle did an amazing job on my hair! She took 5 inches of damaged hair off and gave me a relaxed layered style that is flexible for day, night, or downtime. Then she updated my color a beautiful blended ombré. I get lots of compliments from friends and strangers. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

I was going to buy the groupon but Annabelle honored the price for me. She took me in last minute, and was very nice and easy to talk to.
Being a Paul Mitchell grad, I can say she is really good at hair. I got highlights and an amazing cut.
The only thing is I do think the regular pricing is too high. For the location, environment, the salon needs some repairs and some cleaning to be done. So once the environment is professional I would give 5 stars:-)

My husband and I both went to get our hair done. Annabelle and Leti did a wonderful job. I was nervous because I wanted a change and this was my first time to this salon. I had a coupon from groupon. Annabelle did a great job on my hair. Leti gave my husband the best cut he has had in years. I was a great experience and we will be going back.

Lets start from the beginning. I live in New Orleans and am visiting my sister in Irving Texas. I needed my hair done so badly. So I decided to go on groupon just to see what was out there. And I searched and searched. No one would answer the phone or there rates had changed even tho the groupon said another price. But anyways I finally decided on this shop. It had the best reviews. Ok so I called and she was pleased to take me at 11 am. So I got in my car and GPS it and I found it no problem. Not far at all and I walked right on in and she started right away and we talked and talked about what I wanted Done I had lonnnnnng hair down to my butt and she didn’t even have a problem. No complaints no nothing!!! So she cut nine inches off and went straight into color mode she highlighted it and after about three hours of pain I’m sure lol she finally finished. She styled my hair so beautifully. I have never in my whole life been so happy with the out come of my hair its so beautiful in every way. I put a picture of the finished product on here. So happy. She is an amazing lady. Ms Annabel I can’t thank yu enough for giving me everything i could ever ask for. I WILL be back!!!

I got a groupon to this place. The inside does not match the website. It is a rundown shop with old torn seats. Not what I expected. I gave it a try since I had already purchased the groupon. It was the worse mistake of my life. I told the owner my graduation is coming up and explain what I wanted for my hair. She didn’t even take the time time cut my hair with scissors, she used a razor to thin out my whole head. Now I look like a cancer patient whose hair is falling out. Its my worse nightmare! I would have gladly paid a full price service at a nice reputable salon if I knew what would happen to me. Save yourself the despair and go elsewhere!

I just purchased a Groupon for this salon. For the price, I’m pretty happy. This isn’t your uptown hair salon, it’s located in «little Mexico» in Farmer’s Branch. You can definitely tell the ladies here take pride in what they do. It is located in a strip mall off of Valley View and they are remodeling but it was fine for me. I made the appointment that day at 10AM for a hair cut on my lunch. For the price I paid I walked away happy! I would come back again.
