I arranged to drop off a couple of 8MM camcorder tapes to get converted into DVDs. The owner was easy to work with and let me know the range of times she would be in so I could drop off the tapes. Within a couple days, she had already called me to let me know they were completed. Not only did I receive the two DVDs but she stated that she will keep digital copies in her backup vault in the event I ever need to access them for replacement copies. The charge was $ 15 per hour, so with two tapes at two hours each, it was $ 60. At the same time, I also brought several tapes to a national photo chain in town that also does the DVD conversion. I brought more here since they were offering a special rate which was a great savings. They forewarned me they had received many orders with the special so it may take away, I had no idea it would be this long. To date, it has been almost 11 weeks and I’m still waiting. They assure me the DVDs will be ready soon. The reason I share this comment in this review is that price isn’t always everything and in hindsight, I would have paid more to have my conversions done by TK Design and not be worrying that the competitor has lost what are some of my most valuable possessions.
