During a recent sunset cruise around Falmouth on the Island Queen done by 106.1 wcod everyone headed over to the Shanty after for drinks and food.
The staff and management were accommodating and it was a great time. Food was provided, beer and mudslides were pouring.
They have a great outside sitting area where there is a fire pit and comfy seats.
It continues to prove why it’s the best spot in Falmouth Heights.
Great live music at night from 4 to 7pm

One of the best meals I have had in a while. We got the bbq pineapple chicken sandwich and paradise burger. So good! And then the graham cracker ice cream for dinner. A small ice cream was huge. Waitress was super friendly. Great place. Will definitely come back.

So we came here last night finding a good spot for the whole family which includes a baby. They have great indoor and outdoor seating plus a bar. Very beach looking spot feels like your feet away from the beach. Service was awesome very attentive and alert checked in with us a few times to make sure everything was fine. Great selection in drafts and bottled beers very great in prices. Food was good filling but not he best they can probably improve on that but the seafood side was perfect the fisherman’s platter was delicious. Good place to go for a quick bite and drink very cool atmosphere here.

I’ll preface this review by saying I came here specifically for fried clams. I’m a New England native and have tried out as many clam joints as possible from Maine down through Rhode Island. I was in a pinch since we were at the beach in Falmouth and this place came up with the highest rating. So… in a nutshell, this is a neat little place in Falmouth, but I won’t order clams if I return. They were served up dark brown and tasted as if the oil hadn’t been changed in awhile. Portion size was also on the small side. Very disappointing at $ 25 a plate. And it didn’t make any sense since the fried shrimp we ordered came out with a wonderful golden color that you would expect to see on all fried food. All their draft beer is from the Sea Dog Brewing Company. $ 5 drafts but the serving size is about 12oz. The service is great and the chowder is spectacular. But the clams wouldn’t be my first choice at this place.

The food was mediocre at best, we had the mahi mahi and it was over spiced and way too salty. The fish fry wasn’t all that fresh. The clam chowder had too much vinegar. The mussels were good! The ice cream and service was great, hence the three stars.

Stopped in for lunch while driving through Falmouth. Good lobster roll. Lots of meat. Friendly service. Sorry this is so short but everyone in our party had the lobster roll. The pictured lobster rolls on Unilocal are a very good representation, maybe a little larger in person…

I have been told to check this place out for years. Looks like a dive from the outside, but they do have outdoor seating which is major bonus points in my book! I had the fish tacos and they were good. My friend had fish and chips and loved them. I’d go back. Another bonus is parking and not having to deal with the crazy traffic on 28!

A decent outdoor spot for a drink, but if you are hungry u would best going someplace else. The fried shrimp was not unlike something you would get from Long John Silvers and my kids chicken fingers were raw… like ahi tuna raw. The clam chowder was fine, but overall not a place you «need» to visit.

Hostess was very nice, very short wait. We sat inside which was very hot and we did not get acknowledged for 10min even though many servers passed us. I am a server myself and really hate To complain about things, But for the price I was incredibly disappointed, driving me to write my first review ever.
the waitress was far from engaged, could have cared less about our party of 3.
Tried the sunrise «boat drink.» It was $ 9 in a plastic Dixie cup. I could only have a sip, it was so incredibly sweet with what tasted like zero alcohol in it.
Had the veggie burger, was not delicious at all; Obviously frozen-​puck shaped and dry.
I asked for banana peppers on my burger (saw it as part of another burger on the menu) and was charge $ 0.99 cents for THREE banana pepper rings! I was shocked, as the waitress never eluded to an up charge. My friend had a cheeseburger ordered med rare and it came out well done. She did not send it back because we had already waited for awhile for our food. She had knowingly upcharged $ 0.99 for mushrooms on her burger and she received 3 RAW cold crunchy mushrooms on her burger…
Unfortunately was not pleased here and although I believe I’m not a complainer and very easy-​going, this was the first time in my life I felt jipped of service and good food. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

I had the whole belly fried clams basket. Terribly overcooked and at $ 25 terribly overpriced. Service was so-​so. When I metioned the clams to her, the response was «I’ll tell him». Not another word after that. It was like I hurt their feelings. I won’t be back!

Came back the next day for dinner and it was just as good. This time I had the cod sandwich because I was so jealous of my husband yesterday. It was delicious — really great crispy crust. Also had the root beer float — perfect end to a great dinner! Easy going vibe, good food and really nice people here make it one of our new faves.

Went for the first time and as a local supporting local biz I was very disappointed in the quality of food. Tasted like everything was cooked from frozen. Place needs a makeover bad. Service OK but not experienced.

The most incredible little neighborhood joint with the friendliest people, most delicious food, and welcoming ambiance EEVVVAAA! This shanty screams for a return visit! The chowder was delightful, the Bloody Mary perfect!!! You have to ask for the secret menu item if you come here: the paradise burger! It’s a double patty with cheese bacon BBQ sauce pineapple topped with a fried egg!!! Bob will smile and whip it right up if you request it! Make sure you meet the captain if saddling up to the bar, don’t worry he’ll be the one with his name on his own seat, and he loves BOURBON! Take my advice and treat yourself to this place, you’re stomach and tongue will be in heaven

Silver Shore’s is a great place to grab a quick meal. They have the best popcorn shrimp and very accommodating staff. Keep up the good work Silver shore.

Great local scene. great spot to have lunch and a nice cold «adult» drink. Menu has a great selection and they have the best deal in town for a kids ice cream cone! $ 1.00 I believe. It’s a nice kid friendly spot thats a little «off the beaten path» which means less tourists!

We’ve just arrived to our rental home and figured we all get a bite to eat nearby. That is how we found ourselves at the Silver Shores Shanty.
Waitresses were very nice and accommodating. We were all originally sitting outside but towards the end of the night, members of our party were getting cold. Waitresses let 6 of our 10 people party sit inside since there was a bit of room. Super attentive and very polite.
Why two stars then?
Owner came out to us and told us at the beginning of our night, in the absolute worst tone, that we could not move the tables together. NO ONE WAS EVEN TRYING TO.
Also when our bill came, he charged us 18% gratuity. Not cool especially when you are literally a shack that sells hot dogs and ice cream.
Lobster roll was not worth $ 18.99. At all.
Would not recommended this place to anyone. Will not be coming back.

Went for lunch today with a former young lady who used to work in the old SHRUBS almost 30 years ago… we told stories about how crazy those times were but the good news is…
This place is terrific… had the fish tacos, she had the chowder and a salad… I can highly recommend those… and will be back to taste the rest of the menu. They are going to have music on weekends from 4 – 8 and they have a liquor license. This place is certainly a place to take the family, very kid friendly, and very friendly staff.
My new «go to» lunch place but they do have ice cream for after dinner YEA!
