UPDATE: It is closed, empty with for lease sign. Very sad-a real shame. What a great find, tucked away in Falls Church. Grape leaves, chicken schwarma, gyros, falafel, garlic sauce,(spicy) salads and lentil soup — all winners and served by a very nice man. How he is always so pleasant cooking in 120 degrees, I’ll never know. Really great food.

We ordered our food in the dining room and on a weekday there was only one other patron for lunch. It seemed like it would have a nice ambiance for a dinner date, except you have to go through the take out/kitchen area and there is a flat screen TV which is also visible in the mirror-lined walls. I honestly expected more when I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich, so I suggest you order fries or a salad. I’ll probably come back to try a platter or get take-out.

I really like the food here. The pricing is reasonably, the staff friendly and the food is amazing!

My girlfriend and I stopped here the other night and got takeout. I sat down with the owner many months ago with a sales rep from my company trying to sell him, which was comical to me as he had no need for us. The owner was a very kind man, and I have been meaning to try this place once it had been long enough so that sales rep’s hard sell tactics and my face were not remembered… so finally here we go. My lady went for a gyro pita. I went for an entrée of ground beef with spices(can’t remember the name kerja or something like that). So for 11 bucks I got a side salad two big kabobs of ground beef, probably a metric ton of rice, a pita, and the most delicious garlic sauce I’ve ever had. The meat was cooked exactly how I wanted, juicy with all the flavor of the spices. I finished one of the kabobs within seconds. The rice was completely different than anything I had ever had before but in a great way… it had a cinnamon flavor to it that at first caught me off guard. I was thinking more of the yellow rice flavor that comes with most kabobs, but this was something else. I loved it. And then I started using the garlic sauce… I’ll be damned. The lady swears this is the best gyro she has ever had now. I’m going to give the gyro a try, but as a long time veteran of Skorpios in Vieena… I refuse to believe that anything can be better than Mr. Maggio’s delicious and overstuffed gyros. All and all, for 6 bucks for sandwiches and 11 for entrees, I will definitely come back here on a regular basis.

AWFUL. AWFUL. AWFUL. DONOTGOHERE! I would like to give this piece ‘o restaurant 0 stars. The owner was rude, their dining policies don’t make sense and I can recommend 5 other places to get delicious well priced pitas, kebabs and shawarma’s. Ex. Meat in a Box is less than a 5 minute drive away. I came here on a Saturday night at 7:30 after the typical dinner rush. The goal was to enjoy hookah and grab a bite to eat. I was rudely told to wait, so I did. During this time a group of 20+ people walked in behind me. I tried to order chicken shawarma again but mentioned that I would be eating it in the Z Lounge. The owner informed me that I had to order«dine in food» in the Z Lounge? The takeout was only for takeout orders? I guess the exact same dish had to be served on a plate? I suppose this type of bull policy wouldn’t be a problem but there were only 2 people working. Yes…2 people working the Z Lounge, Dining Area and Take Out section of the restaurant. Close one or two of the sections if you’ve got no one to work them, genius. Instead I waited about 45 minutes for everyone in the takeout area to be served, while I sat hungry and hookah-less. When I got up to complain rightfully so, I was told that«There were no more hookahs» and he wouldn’t be serving food. What? This man has no business owning a business… I sincerely hope that it’s understaffed because it’s about to shut down. DONOTGOHERE! AWFUL. AWFUL. AWFUL. Also if you plan on smoking hookah more than twice in your lifetime, there is a wonderful smoke shop across the street; very helpful. For $ 50 you can get your own hookah with a handy traveling case. Don’t waste your money or time at this hole in the wall.

3.49 stars! With the potential to go up after my next visit. Realizing this establishment is relatively new, I couldn’t wait for things to «settle down» before my first visit. First, the restaurant has pure«street cred.» I think I was the only customer who didn’t speak some Arabic. However, the nice man behind the counter made me feel very welcome. I noticed that the restaurant has a separate«restaurant dining» area and a less-formal take-out/self serve area. I believe it is also a part of the Z lounge hookah bar establishment. In other words Pita Wraps is the less formal take-out area– Lebanese Café is the formal restaurant area — and Z Lounge is the hookah bar… and yes, it took me a very long time to figure out. I ordered the beef kehbab sandwich and the gyro sandwich to-go. Keep in mind, the food is made to order, so as expected, an order might take 10 minutes+(which is not at all bad). Taking into account the fact that I drove home before eating the sandwiches(yes, I ate both, I’m a little piggy), I felt the beef kehbab was a little dry. Perhaps a slight less cooking time for the beef or a little more sauce in the sandwich would have taken care of my issue. However, the beef was perfectly seasoned, and the fillings — lettuce, tomato, etc were crisp and fresh. Unfortunately, I also thought the pita bread was a little dry. Again, I need to take into account that there was a significant amount of time from when i bought the sandwiches and when i actually ate the sandwiches… The gyro sandwich was pretty good(and cheap — extra points). I’m a glutton for cucumber sauce, so I really don’t have any complaints there. Next time I go, I think I’m going to try the shwarma, the«non-alcoholic beer,» the imported sodas or their rice pudding(ruz b haleeb). I’m looking forward to my next visit!
