The falafel is awesome. I ordered their falafal sandwitch, they made it very quick, and it was delicious. I will go back again.

Love this place. They aren’t shy with spicing the food, so you really get great flavors in every bite. Dont miss the house made harissa if you need a little spicy kick, and the fried cauliflower is awesome. Went there with my chef husband who is from the Middle East and he also loved it — how’s that for an endorsement!

It’s good and good service. Fresh food and good quality. I’ve done the bowl and pita sandwich, both good. Very flavorful falafel and not at all dry. This is a must try.

Great quality and value! You will do not be disappointed! Just go and try it… way better than a chipotle visiting hands down!!!

Wow, the food here is really good! I had the falafel bowl with the unlimited toppings. The best part was the super soft brown rice. I don’t remember ever having rice that good before. I’ll be back for sure!

This is our favorite casual Mediterranean food place in the region, hands down. Great spices, fresh and healthy food, and plenty of low-carb options if that’s what you’re looking for(and we are). The décor is very clean and the staff is very friendly. This is a great place to grab an informal lunch or dinner, and the variety of menu ingredients satisfies a wide range of tastes. We’re confirmed regulars.

So sad to say I will never come here again. I loved this place… until it gave me food poisoning. Two torturous days later I finally came back to life and vowed to say goodbye. Proceed with caution!

Food is fantastic, but they are ALWAYS out of something. «10 minutes for chicken“sorry no pita» WHAT?! Your name ISPITA!!! This is a result of how popular it is, and for how fresh the food is. Unfortunately after trying 3 times, I’ll try some of the other new options in the mall.

This is a fantastic fast-casual restaurant for Mediterranean food. The concept is very similar to Chipotle or Cava Grille in that you first order your base(bowl or pita) and then fill it with toppings laid out before you. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and filled it with almost all the toppings available. One of the best parts about Pita Pouch is that you can fill your bowl or pita with unlimited toppings and sauce, as well as have a bowl with pita on the side; you will not leave hungry. Ordering was very easy as each topping and sauce is marked on the glass so you know exactly what you’re getting. Also, the servers are helpful and friendly. My chicken shawarma bowl was delicious(I especially recommend the fried cauliflower and fried eggplants) and reasonably priced. I believe bowls are $ 8.95 and pitas are $ 8.50. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I definitely plan on returning!

This place is so cute! You’ll be greeted with the bang of glam as soon as you walk in. We’re talking about chandeliers off of the ceiling, white décor all around, and sleek & shiny finishes in every corner. To be honest I thought I stepped into a retail store for a moment, not a pita spot. They make the process of ordering fairly easy. Similar to Chipotle, you get to pick your toppings and meats, and pick up your drinks at the end of the line. There’s plenty of choices, and yes, you can have it all. Although, I tried this, and I think I could’ve hold off one some of the toppings. I went for the bowl while my husband went for the pita pouch. The pita bread itself is not very flavorful. It’s quite bland, actually. However, it works well enough when mixed with the other flavors. When eaten as a side or «spoon» with the bowl, not so great. I think it’s missing salt, or just another flavor apart from flour. For the price, not bad. For the décor, five stars! For the quality of the food, four stars — it’s not the best shwarma(and I think you know this), but it’s still a nice spot to stop by in and enjoy eating pita pockets under a twinkling chandelier.

First time customer and man, it was delicious! Friendly, courteous service. Fresh ingredients and great selection for a reasonable price. I came for the falafel and ended up with the Shawarma. Super delicious!

i am a sucker for all things pita. i spotted pita pouch a while ago while my husband was driving me around. i have been begging him to go and we finally went this past week! i was really impressed by the photos on Unilocal and the place did not disappoint. it is really nice, bright, and clean inside. for a «fast food» place it is quite fancy with acrylic chandeliers and ghost chairs. i would say it is very similar to cava express(assembly line style eating). the food though itself looked more appealing and fresh as the meat was still on the pit and all of the toppings looked very authentic and homemade. the gentlemen working behind the counter were all very nice and friendly. i had a bowl with chicken and falafel. it didn’t look like a lot of food but i was stuffed. they say a mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest so if you are looking for something cheap, quick, delicious, and good for you. i think this is your spot!

I enjoyed a half falafel, and half chicken wrap. Unlimited toppings is the bomb. The place is very nice– well kept, well decorated. Only gripe I have is that the chicken was extremely dry and I would have like some more juicy pieces. Guess I’d have to come earlier?

How often do we hear the idiom, «Don’t judge a book by its cover»? Well, I’m guilty of passing up on Pita Pouch a couple of times because of the external appearance of the strip mall that houses this wonderful place. Upon entering, you are greeted by a number of chic chandeliers and sconces throughout the restaurant. I chose a bowl as my base and chicken shawarma as the protein. I also had a side order of falafel. There’s a crazy amount of available toppings. Certain restaurants will offer many toppings but will charge you extra after having picked 2 – 3 toppings. Pita Pouch offers UNLIMITED toppings with your order. Although I didn’t get every single topping, just the mere fact that one could get all of the toppings of your choosing is a huge plus. After a few bites, the first thought that came to mind, was that I felt like I was eating at someone’s home. The food just tasted so fresh, clean, and amazingly delicious. The shawarma is freshly cut from revolving grillers using automated blades(kind of operates like those new soda vending machines). For a ~$ 10 meal, along with the décor, cleanliness, and friendly service, I’ll definitely be adding Mediterranean cuisine more frequently into my rotation.

New, fresh, clean, funky, fast, tasty! Don’t be put off by the bland, strip mall façade. Go inside and discover how easy it is to have the folks behind the counter assemble a healthy, delicious meal for you quickly, and for a great price. This place hit the spot for me as I’m from the UK, and I’m used to my kebabs looking something like this… hand-held, stuffed with goodies and easy to order. The interior décor is unexpectedly cool, endowing this new establishment a trendy vibe, and setting it apart from it’s rivals in the area! Moby Dick beware. You are out classed!

Similar to the western U.S. chain Garbanzo, or the local Cava Mezze, but BETTER. Here’s why: 1) Fresh homemade pita made daily. It’s fluffy and chewy and wondeful, and you even get some if you order a bowl. 2) Tender shawarma piled up daily on their homemade spit and carved to order 3) Outstanding unlimited optional toppings including homemade beans, bulgur pilaf, hummus, babaganoush, roasted cauliflower and roasted eggplant. 4) Bottles of Harissa paste to add your own zing. 5) Whimsical décor featuring marble tables and chandeliers– what? We tried falafel, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma… Everything was excellent. So glad we found this unassuming fast casual restaurant next to Staples in a Falls Church strip mall. We’ll be back.

The food here tastes inter-galactically, lip-smackingly good. Every other middle-eastern café/restaurant pales like a wanna-be in the shadow of Pita Pouch. The show is run as a build-your-bowl assembly line, with unlimited choices of exquisite toppings on a base(bowl or sandwich). First the base(there are three): shawarma(marinated overnight in their special tenderizing sauce, and grilled on a vertical spit), chicken(tender, flavorful), or falafel(light texture, not heavy). Every UNLIMITED topping has a unique, zingy, fresh, herby, taste. My favorites are: –Fettoosh salad(tomato, radish, cucumber, mint, and light lemony tang) –fried eggplant –red cabbage marinated salad –couscous salad with cranberries/pomegranate kernels –pickled turnips(purple) –black olives(seems pulled straight out of brining jars in a folkloric Lebanese farmhouse cellar!) –fried cauliflower(GETTHIS!) –aromatic white bean stew over basmati rice –hummus –baba ganoush –onions marinated in sumac –pickled onion relish –jalapeño and mint spicy sauce –tahini sauce –yoghurt mint sauce –harissa is set out on tables if you wish to spice it up even more Given these amazing choices and the caliber of the preparation, other middle eastern establishments in the city– Roti, Amsterdam Falafel, Lebanese Taverna for example– might consider tucking their tails under or risk humiliation. The proprietors are dressed in chef’s hats and aprons and are warm, welcoming people. They are from Palestine and Lebanon and are part of the same company which owns Tarbouche and Burger 7 locally. The concept here is fast food, but the executive chef is a serious hand at authentic Arabic mediterranean food. Service is friendly and authentic to the cuisine: feels like you took a trip down a Beirut backstreet and are just yakking it up in a local café.(No random, low-wage, fast-food worker here.) An outstanding interior décor with pretty chandeliers, white light, and airy feel makes the setting feel even happier than the food tastes to you. The place feels upbeat. The price point is an unbelievable bargain for the exquisite cooking that is executed with care and perfection; less than $ 10 for the entire bowl; even less for the sandwich option.(With a bowl you are served a side of fluffy pita bread anyway). What a whizbang place. My favorite fast food option, for which I will gladly travel across the city and down Route 7!

Came and bought two pita bowl to-go for my brother and me for dinner after work. This time around, the flavor was indeed FANTASTIC. Once again, even though I was starving, I found that the bowl filled me up a lot and I was incredibly satisfied. But this time around, I thought it was absolutely delicious and it one-upped my previous experience here. I will definitely frequent this place for regular meals because an $ 8 – 9 bowl of delicious Mediterranean food is now my daily weakness and I crave it every day! Love it!

Think Cava grill without the outrageous line. Flavor-packed ingredients and price is on par with cava. They have a nice minimal black/white interior which seems very clean. I didn’t know how I felt about this place at first but I found myself coming back every other week so that’s saying something! FOOD: I recommend the chicken bowl with rice! For toppings it took me a few trips to really feel out which ones I liked together. There is also a steak/lamb option which was slightly gamey for me but that is just my personal opinion on taste. The workers here are also polite and patient. One man I believe to be the manager slipped me an extra pita because he knew I was sharing my meal with my boyfriend. I tipped him for his generosity! Fair warning: COMEWHENITISBUSY! The reason why I didn’t give this place a 5 star is because I came one day where it was empty. I ordered the falafel bowl and the falafel was really hard to chew through. Other reviews say the falafel is good so it’s best to come when they’re pumping out a lot of food. Aside from that, the other times I’ve came here have been delicious experiences! One last thing, the hot sauce behind their counter is really hot!!! My boyfriend likes it though :)

Yes. oh my god YES. I needed to get to work, so I got a bowl to go. The drive to work felt like 50 minutes when it was in actuality about 5 minutes… the smell of the falafel and spices filled the air of my tiny 38mpg Chevy Spark… When I arrived back at work, my co-workers clamored around my desk asking what smelled so amazing. They give you a pita with your bowl, which is actually overkill, since the bowl was plenty filling on its own. And they give you a hearty SIXBALLS!!! As opposed to Cava Mezze when you order falafel they only give you FOUR. The toppings are unlimited and delicious. I especially enjoyed the white beans, which says a lot considering I’m not much of a bean girl: P I will happily be returning. And probably leaving very full again.
