Mattress Warehouse

Very good service. Staff helped us select a great mattress, and we negotiated a good price. They arranged a delivery date convenient for us. The delivery crew showed up on time, carefully installed the new mattress and box spring, and hauled away the old ones.

1 star is far too many. I purchased a mattress from this location after seeing an advert on TV about a big sale. I recently moved and had been sleeping on the couch. I was so excited about getting a bed! I popped over to the store, selected my bed, paid for it and scheduled delivery. Delivery would be 5 days from when I purchsed it as that is when I was available. Delivery was fast and the two men who delivered it were so polite and friendly — I was impressed!
…that is, until I attempted to sleep on the bed. The chemical odor coming from the bed was so intense it made my eyes burn. I had a migraine and a sore throat — all symptoms that went away when I got away from bed and into fresh air. I didn’t notice this when it was delivered because it was wrapped in plastic and the plastic itself has a certain smell, though not horrible like this odor. I’m not prone to hypochondria but the chemicals in this mattress were making me sick. I called Mattress Warehouse and explained the situation to which they immediately replied «NO REFUNDS!» I’m NOT ok with that but alright, what about an exchange? Clearly this mattress is defective, right? Well they just can’t go and do that, of course not. The District Manager has to be called and he makes the decisions. It has been a week and still no answers. I keep calling (they’ve only returned my call once) and one salesperson had the audacity to say I gave him my phone number wrong. Twice. And also listened to him repeat it back to me. Even if he wrote it down wrong which can happen, he only had to look up my sales order to get my number. Instead, he chose to not call me back at all. Now I’m extremely unhappy.
My issue still isn’t resolved and I wished I’d Googled Mattress Warehouse and read all the bad reviews before I bought from them; I would’ve just gone to Sears or Macy’s.
