I’ve been coming to the Mai Huong Salon since I was a little kid. I love this place! The staff is so friendly and easy-going. Whatever haircut or style I throw their way, they always manage to exceed my expectations. Mai is so incredibly sweet, but believe me, she won’t hesitate to offer her professional opinion if she thinks a hairstyle is not suitable for your particular features. I totally appreciate her open and honest suggestions. I always walk out there a happy camper. While wait times may be a bit longer than at other salons, I highly recommend Mai.

STAYAWAY! Do yourself a favor! My son and I experienced major service issues from the owner Lucy, to the point I’d say was discrimination. She serviced every Vietnamese person that walked in the door before us. Once I was in the chair, she kept moving me around with the highlights started, she even had to rinse them out because of not completing in a timely manner before starting several other people in between. She didn’t put them close to the scalp, she blotched the highlights onto my scalp and I looked striped like a tiger, seriously. We were in the shop and waited 6 hours for her to complete both of us. We we’re the last ones to leave after so many other people came and went throughout the day, all Vietnamese. I was furious, but what can you do with chemicals on your hair? She was unprofessional, she clearly has no clue how to do highlights and had so many people sitting in chairs, more than could be handled, it was awful. No amount of savings is worth her lack of attention to detail, lack of rice or discrimination! Period! I’d have to say of all businesses I’ve ever frequented, this is the worst I’ve ever seen, bar none! We won’t ever be back! You can’t pay me a million dollars to set foot in there again. Good riddance, Lucy!

My family and I have been going here for years. For $ 45, I get a top-notch shampoo, haircut & style AND my eyebrows waxed($ 35 for shampoo/haircut/style, $ 10 for eyebrows). They do such a good job here that it looks like I paid far more. I have never walked out of here with a disappointing cut. They offer a wide range of services here too; not just haircuts and eyebrow waxes. They offer color/highlights, nails, japanese hair straightening, perms, even minor cosmetic procedures like permanent makeup. The only problem with this place is that the wait is almost always extraordinarily long, and the hairdressers don’t speak the best English, so one star off for those factors. I suggest calling in and making an appointment before you go, but even then, there’s no guarantee that you won’t have to wait once you get there. Other than that, great place to go.
