Great place to grab Bolivian food. I started off with sopa de mani which was amazing!!! Followed by saltenas de pollo which were outstanding. Service was great no complaints.

We have passed this place a hundred times and I wish we had passed it this evening. But we didn’t. The menu is primarily in spanish and includes some unsavory selections like beef tongue. We both chose the Fajita because it was the only thing we recognized. They came out on sizzling iron skillets after a 30 minute wait. The«steak» was like shoe tongue leather but the chicken and shrimp were edible. The wine list was Bolivian White or Red, $ 25 per bottle and the«Full Bar» was $ 10 per drink. I thought I was in a New York City dive. This makes twice we have eaten here, FIRSTANDLAST.

The food is average and for the price, I personally don’t think is worth it. Some plates are not worth $ 15 bucks.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place and it’s now one of my favorite go-to’s in the area. Don’t let the parking lot fool you, the place inside is actually pretty nice with a lot of tables. The service is professional and quick, and their menu is large enough for a good choice range. I’ve tried their saltenas, tres amigos platter, and their chicken enchiladas. Their saltenas are different from what I’ve had elsewhere as they are spicy and sweet at the same time. They’re well balanced and crispy, very enjoyable. The tres amigos platter at $ 13.95 was a huge platter of rice and beans with chicken, beef, shrimp, and a salad topped with fresh avocado. All of the meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly and it lasted me almost three meals. Their chicken enchiladas are also phenomenal, just the right amount of spice and they come with beans and rice and fresh avocado again! Luzmary’s has amazing food for a low price and great service. It’s hard to not come back frequently.

We love Bolivian food, and on a Sunday afternoon, my husband was craving fricase – so here we are! The sign outside is LuzMary, sandwiched between two motels on Lee Hwy. The menu contains all the Bolivian favorites and weekend specials, as well as some tex-mex standards like enchiladas and tacos. We have small appetites and so only ordered one dish each. The lechon(roasted pork) was so well seasoned and had the perfect fat-to-meat ratio. There was a light gravy akin to the fricase soup that made me want to lick the plate. The meat comes with a good sized salad, whole roasted white potato, large chunk of roasted korean potato, and whole ear of boiled pozole corn. There were leftovers. My husband has never had bad fricase. This is a dish of love. How this one differed is that it was less red and the meat was leaner than others. There was also more meat than pozole. I particularly loved the bend of seasonings that flavored the broth. I could eat just the broth. Hours after lunch, i wish i had a bowl for dinner. All the tables were full during the hour and half we were there. The service was attentive and very nice. I think our waitress was a bit bemused that we were there since we are clearly not Latino.

A small Bolivian restaurant in the heart of Falls Church. Luz Mary has many of the Bolivian favorites for anyone’s craving. I went on a Friday afternoon so the place wasn’t crowded. I grabed a table and my waitress immediately came over with a menu. After a quick glance over the menu I decided to go with the special of the day, the churrasco Argentino and water to drink. I kept it simple because I knew the Restaurant was fairly new and I didn’t want to make things too complicated. After the waitress took my order I sat around and waited, and waited, and waited… The service is a little slow but I was rewarded with this ginormous steak, with fries and rice. The meat was tasty but a bit dry, but that was my fault because I requested my steak well done. The rice was perfectly cooked, and so were the fries. After I finished it took several minutes before I could get my waitress attention as more clients were trickling in. So I sat around before she just brought over the check without me asking. Even though I was ready to pay and leave she should have asked me if I wanted anything else. Not good! I will definitely return because I liked the food, but also to see if they improve their service.

Owned and operated by the folks who previously ran Luzmilla’s in Falls Church(which they sold some time ago). No disrespect to the latter; it is still good. But Luzmary is closer to me; is open until 9pm(or later, depending on who is inside); and has OUTSTANDING saltenas. Since ‘discovering” it in the past week, I have been twice; most recently this past Friday to get a supply of saltenas to have on hand through the blizzard. VEery smart move on my part.
