Great food, have been coming for years. Sadly, dining in means having to deal with the foul bathroom smell. This isn’t new(we’re talking years!) and it’s disappointing the owner hasn’t addressed it. It practically ruins the experience. This restaurant has been here for almost two decades, some of the money should be allocated into making the place more presentable. I’d be embarrassed to brings friends or family here.

Good food for the price $$$ spent like $ 35 for 2 people. Great personality from the staff and good location. Parking could be improved a little with more light, specially since its hidden in the back.

FOOD: I only dishes i tried there are(Carapulcra, Arroz Chaufa, Lomo Saltado, Wantan Soup and the Lucuma ice cram) I must say that you must have all of them. The«Carapulcra with Pork is a must!(dinner size) I can’t speak for sea food and others… PRICE: The price is worth it, the size of every meal is huge and its really taste! SERVICE: They provided a good service. LOCATION: Not a great place, however, I drive 1 hour away to get these taste dishes!

I love the Chinese food and I love the lomo saltado. The service is fantastic because its sort of like family style. I think that the prices are reasonable. I prefer takeout but to eat in is really nice after shopping in the Bailey Crossroads area.

Let me start by saying that if you come here you can only order certain foods — because they’re a peruvian/chinese fusion you want to stick to something of that nature. The food overall is good, there are some dishes that stand out more than others. I am giving it a 4 because of the customer service 2 of their staff provide. the place needs to be updated, it does not look good from outside or inside. I do have to say that it’s not in the nicest neighborhood either so you really get what you pay for. do not try ceviche/causa/anticuchos because this is not the place for those types of foods, again stick to fried rice/lo mein/lomo saltado. I would recommend only if you’re in the area and if you’re craving some peruvian/chinese food.

Good peruvian chifa(or the only one in the area). Place could use a remodel. I was here 18 years ago. It looks exactly like fhen.

As my two stars say, food was Meh, I’ve been to better places. What I ordered was Parihuela, shrimp was overcooked I did not have enough seafood in there and I think it was a bit overpriced, my total was 19.90 $ for just the parihuela and a glass of water, been to other peruvian places where a parihuela had costed me around 15.00 bucks. Will probably not come back to this place.

Chifa? Peruvian/Chinese cuisine fusion? Now that’s a concept I never heard of. I got the Chifa cuisine here, and not the Peruvian food which seems to bet better reviewed here. I didn’t know what to expect really, but Chifa is definitely skewed towards more Chinese, but a Peruvian person’s take I guess. It’s basically Chinese sauces, mixed with different types of cuts and meats. I got the fried Wonton w/chicken, and pork and sweet sour sauce. It was pretty good, but nothing special. I would say it’s not a bad addition for something when I want something a little different, but not quite Chinese… Chifa will do!

David M, hubby, and I went to Kampo after we played tennis earlier in the day. We wanted to give them a try. Practice your Spanish before going to Kampo. We were greeted by the hostess and asked us in Spanish — «how many in your party?» Luckily, I remembered some Spanish and said, «Tres» The waitress asked us if we were ready to order — again in Spanish again. We needed David Jiron. I remembered«Un momento, por favor.» We ordered our entrees: David M — fried rice with shrimp, scallops, and calamari; hubby — shrimp lo mein, and I ordered fried rice with chicken. The portions are good sized. The prices are reasonable. The taste was good — pretty good. Make sure to use verde salsa to add a little kick to your meal. Yummy. The restaurant needs a make-over. The waitress was very friendly. Oh, we noticed they added the tip. 18%.

This place is Amazing. I’ve been here numerous times and enjoyed the service and food. I highly recommend the Wonton Soup; it is definitely the best in the area. I almost always order the arroz con mariscos, but have also tasted the other delicious dishes such as the ceviche, jalea, anticuchos, and many other dishes from picking at everyone’s food around me. I am disappointed in reading the other reviews and seeing what others have rated this place. Gratuity is included in the bill and yes, the staff is Spanish speaking so they speak with an accent. This is a restaurant, not Taco Bell, so the prices are not going to be cheap. For those complaining about money, take your broke ass to McDonald’s. For those complaining about the Staff’s language limitations, take your ass some place else. And for those that believe your some sort of food expert… make your own damn food.

This place was gross it’s dirty and old the food was bland and badly cooked, it had no flavor. The food look and tastes like it was cooked days ago and it was expensive! $ 18 for a hard steak and rice with a plain salad with no dressing and when I asked for dressing she said I gave you a slice of lime. The forks, chairs, carpets everything just looked old! Would not go again!

Great wonton soup. Try the jalea — this is a fried sea food platter; served with yuca, toasted corn, and salsa criolla. The décor could get a little help.

I have to say that it is unfortunate what has happened with this place. It used to be that they offered the best(IMHO) chifa in the area. Chifa is a term that us Peruvians call Chinese food with Peruvian influence. I just went there last week and ordered a couple of my favorite dishes to go(we didn’t want to dine in because the place is in really need of a renovation, but that is for another talk) the Chijaukay and Tipakay chickens. They were not good at all. I don’t know if it is because they changed chefs, or what… but they didn’t taste good. I was even disappointing at the fried rice, which it used to be one of their specialties. I’m sorry to say this, but I’ve gotten better Chinese food at malls. :(

Overpriced mediocre and dirty restaurant. We had anticuchos corrazone and ceviche and the chifa specialty. Not thrilled and won’t be going back.

Famished after an early start to happy hour, we somehow ended up here. All I remember ordering was the paella, and all I remember thinking was that I should just stop by Harris Teeter, pick up some yellow rice and add some pre-cooked packaged chicken and some half frozen peas to the mix and it will yield the same results. Servers do not speak English but are super sweet; hence the 2 stars.

Although this place is super hole-in-the-wall, I was extremely let down by what this place ultimately ended up offering. Looking forward to my first chifa(i.e. Chinese/Peruvian)experience, I ordered a multitude of different dishes that aren’t offered anywhere else in the area. However, the quality and presentation of the food we received was well below average. Nothing tasted fresh… or clean. Did I mention I was with a hardcore Peruvian guy who shared the same sentiment? That being said, I won’t be visiting another chifa until there’s some competition in the area.
