I had the veggie bowl with fried eggplant, cauliflower, rice, maybe cilantro, red onions and lemony tahini sauce. The fried eggplant and tahini sauce are the standouts. You get a sizable portion in bowl form for a reasonable price. It’s so delicious, I can’t stop thinking about this food. Can’t wait until they come back to Courthouse.

Why am I JUST trying this place?! AMAZING and so delicious! I got the veggie sandwich(hold the tomatoes and onions), added a slice of halloumi cheese, packed in the cilantro, and got a side of babaganoush and pita bread. The babaganoush was so good that I started to slather it on my sandwich as well. Can’t wait for them to come back around Union Station/NOMA!

Their veggie sandwich is definitely one of the best sandwiches I had in DC. They are clearly not Americans as they can actually cook an eggplant. The hummus was not great though

Let me tell u all u need to know. Everything is made fresh by the owners mom. Can’t get no better then that. It’s hard to read others review when they don’t know what it’s supposed to taste like. I do and when I say it’s on point, it’s on point. Only one truck so u will have to look on fb page to see the days location.

For a food truck, their dishes are STELLAR. I got a «low carb platter» with Turkey, onions, diced tomatoes and a side of hummus — and, WOW. It was honestly delicious. The turkey kafta was moist and garlicky(in the best way). What’s more, the tomatoes were SO ripe and fresh; the pickled onions were perfectly seasoned. My only disappointment was running out of food. At about $ 10, their meals are VERY reasonably priced, especially compared to the competition. If you’ve got a big appetite, though, I would recommend ordering extra meat or an additional side.

Just finished the veggie sandwich with added haloumi cheese. It was great and well balanced. Really enjoyed the fresh parsley, eggplant, and tahini. Adding the cheese gave it a lot of body. Thing is, it was $ 8 for the sandwich plus 2 for a wedge of cheese(he ended up giving me two wedges). So for $ 10 it was expensive – would have liked a side like fries or salad for the price. Really like it though – I’ll be back.

Yum yum yum! I’m currently enjoying the turkey kafta. Sadly they were sold out of their rice and chicken– I was really looking forward to a bowl with rice. Service was wonderful! I hope you come back to Crosspointe again soon!

Pretty magically delicious. KM was one of my first food truck visits a few years back, and they served me up a special with almonds and saffron that I still remember. Delicious and cool people.

4.5+ When this truck is in the vicinity, I go. The Veg Kafta($ 8.5)is flavorful and filling. When eggplant and cauliflower is fried, good things happen.

Had great lunch from Kafta Mania last Monday in DuPont area. Good size portion of Kafta beef platter, not small at all, very filly, even had some left overs for later. Very good vegetarian option, my wife was happy. Really enjoyed homemade hummus. Pascal was friendly and attentive per usual. Great experience, tasty food, highly recommended!!!

This was a disappointing experience. I ordered the beef kafta bowl for $ 11 and not only was it barely filling but it just didn’t taste great. The meat was okay I guess and so was the rice, but the dish had an unfavorably weird aftertaste. It must have been the sauce or some spice they use. Either way, it really made it hard to enjoy the meal. Plus, $ 11 for a small bowl of average beef, rice and onions from a food truck is absurd.

I’ve never rated or written a review on Unilocal, but my experience at KaftaMania has been so awesome that I felt obligated to do so. I’ve been 7 or 8 times over the past month or so and it has been phenomenal every time. The first few times I ordered the Classic Kafta, which was delicious, before branching out to the Chicken Panini, which is phenomenal. The chicken is juicy and succulent, the garlic spread is amazing, and the pickles add a nice touch. It’s a must have if you’re a garlic lover. The best part of the experience is Sam and Pascal. They are very loyal to their customers and truly go the extra mile to take care of them. I work right in Dupont Circle and always stop by when they’re outside, and I usually even walk to Farragut when they’re posted there. I’m looking forward to getting through the rest of the menu!

A friend of mine had recommended this truck b/c it was served awesome Lebanese inspired cuisine, namely sandwiches, that were«super tasty». So I gave it a go. Maybe I’m missing something here, but I wasn’t that impressed or thought it warranted such high praise. I got the Turkey Kafta: Ground turkey minced with cilantro, garlic, Mediterranean spices and a blend of our special Mediterranean garlic spread on a 6 inch baguette(description from their website). First, for a 6 inch sandwich at almost $ 10 with no side included, seems a bit high compared to other food trucks offerings. As for the taste, I couldn’t tell what or if any Mediterranean flavor I was supposed to be enjoying. Basically, it tasted like a ground turkey sandwich with some garlic. I’m not sure how that separates and/or elevates them from/over their competition or something I can make on my own(for less $$ & more flavor). I was disappointed in the lack of flavor and it has not inspired me to return.

My husband and I checked out the KaftaMania food truck when it was at the Tanger Outlets at National Harbor. The men in the truck were very friendly and nice! Their menu selections included the Classic Kafta, Turkey Kafta, Mediterranean Chicken Panini, and the Halloumi Cheese Panini. Sides included Hummus & Pita Chips. I tried the Classic Kafta, in which the kafta was minced ground beef made with parsley, onions, Mediterranean spices, and drizzled with their special Mediterranean sauce. It was served on a 6 inch crispy and toasted baguette that was quite delicious! The Kafta itself was okay; it wasn’t as flavorful as I thought it would have been, a little dried out; the Mediterranean sauce was also a little watery, so I would have preferred it to be a little bit more thicker in consistency. I also thought the price was a little steep, considering it was a small sandwich, for $ 9. +crispy and toasted baguette — yum!

I had a chance to try KaftaMania when they were outside of Heritage Brewing in Manassas last Saturday. As other reviewers have noted, they are operated by a delightful father and son team, and they follow the trend of taking great ethnic food — Lebanese in this case — and putting a spin on it that makes it more approachable and easy to eat. I love kafta, so when I strolled up to Heritage and saw that the truck that said«KaftaMania» I instantly knew what I was having for dinner. I ordered the«classic kafta» which is served as a sandwich on a 6″ baguette with lettuce, tomato, and sauce. Very tasty … the kafta had the classic flavor, and worked well as a sandwich. The owners gave a couple classic kaftas to the guys inside Heritage as samples, and they were offering them to the patrons, so I had to sneak a couple more bites in. Delish! I know anytime I see KaftaMania at Heritage, or anywhere else out and about in NoVa, I’ll be a happy camper!

This food truck packs some serious flavor! I’ve seen this food truck around my neighborhood a few times but never got the opportunity to stop by. I’m glad I did today! I’m also kicking myself because of all the wonderful food I missed out on. Pascal knows how to hook it up! Sandwiches looked good but I kinda needed to stick to my diet and have a low-carb option. :(. Pascal was nice enough to make me something healthy and low cab. Just because it’s healthy and low-carb does not mean it was any lacking flavor! Pascal and his dad are both super nice. They were friendly helpful, chatty and funny. They were also patient and didn’t mind my dumb questions and special requests. My turkey was bursting full of flavor. I was yummy and garlicky with cilantro on top! The fact that he used cilantro was awesome. He definitely puts his own spin on the food here and it’s executed to perfection. My Turkey was so tender without any fat or gristle. Underneath was layered with fresh vegetables. I could tell even the tomatoes had been hand selected for freshness and ripeness. Un-ripe and over rip tomatoes are bummer. The side of the onions with just the right amount of sumoc were perfect! Now for the star; baba ghanouj ! Holy mackerel this is the best baba ghanoush ever. Believe me this girl has had a lot of baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was worth five stars alone. Talk about«killing the game». :) All for a great price of under $ 10! Unlike other shady shops these guys take credit card! Another big score is they also do catering. If you see this food truck in your area you need to jump on it!

First off, I typically don’t enjoy Lebanese food, so I feel I should disclose that up front. I love all other food from that region but find Lebanese to be way too overpowered with spices where you can’t taste the full range of flavors they are trying to pull off. But I wanted to give it another try, and the ground turkey kafta sounded pretty good. The worker at the truck was nice. He even gave me a sample of the lentil soup, which was way better than the entrée I ended up getting for my lunch. The kafta meat itself was pretty good, but again a little too overpowering with spices where you couldn’t taste much of the actual meat flavor. The menu didn’t say that it came with tomatoes on it, but it did, so I had to pick those off. The onions were OK, not much to say there. The sauce, I expected to be like a tzatziki sauce, but it was basically just mayo — really thick and mayo-tasting. Not good. Ew. The whole thing was on a baguette, though come to think of it, it’d be more suited for a pita. Definitely not my ish. Especially not at $ 9+ for the small sandwich.

3.5 stars — solid ones too. I know a Kafta is typically with ground beef, but since they had not one but 2 turkey versions, i really would have loved to see a chicken version too! Anyways, I ended up getting the Veggie sandwich with Eggplant and Cauliflower and boy is was yumm. mmyy! I liked it– The bread was toasted well, the filling was appropriate and it filled mw up. My only gripe — the Mediterranean sauce they had on it had a super tangy flavor. almost overpowering the flavors of the eggplant and cauliflower for me! :(I wish they would have dialed down on the tanginess in that sauce! The same for the hummus — the texture was spot-on, but it had a weird tanginess it too — i like tangy, but this was a little artificial unfortunately! I still had half of my hummus, but I do feel the flavor could have been so much better! Now the pita chips. NOT a fan! broken fragments(which is smart), but TOO hard to eat or enjoy! I ended up giving up on them. Med food snobs can hate me, but I ended up enjoying the hummus with a bag of lays potato chips in my office! ;) For next time. Lesson to Self. READ your Unilocal reviews before you go, clearly I missed out on the super amazing Baba-Ganoush as all the reviews are now telling me!
