Folks, don’t waste your time. The place went out of business.

I love, love, love everything about this place. From the food to the people. We were greeted by Elizabeth and she was awesome! Great drinks, to the delicious food. Im sad to report that we were craving some of that delicious food the other day and went by and they weren’t there anymore.(WHHHHHYYYYY!!)(watery eyes.) Im not sure if they were moving because there wasn’t any indication that a new location was opened, but if anyone knows any updates on them, please share. But if they were still open, this would be a definite place to recommend.

Ok…, so we came here b/c of a groupon we got and to be honest, we really didn’t know what to expect. We checked out Unilocal before we headed out and saw that they had 3.5 stars which could go either way. As we pulled up to the strip mall, we still had no clue what we were really in for. We were graciously greeted by Elizabeth, and after asking a couple of questions about the menu, we ordered. I ordered the Lamb Kabob and my husband ordered the Curry Chicken. Both of these dishes came with salad, naan bread, chick peas, and rice. So our rice & naan bread came out first… I had a caesar salad which was pretty tasty, but my husband ordered his salad with the vinaigrette dressing… OMGosh! The dressing was slammin! If I would have known that his dressing was gonna be that good I would have ordered it as well. I mean it was reaaaaaaally good. The naan bread was fresh & hot and had a slightly unique taste to it that I am not used to with other naan breads, but it was great none the less.(We ended up asking for more it was so good!) Oh — The chick peas — to say WOW would be an understatement. I am really not a ‘chick pea’ kinda girl, but I will eat them occasionally. But these chick peas here… I don’t know what the heck they did to get those chick peas to taste like that, but they were EXCEPTIONALLY tasty! I could easily see myself driving across town just to come back and get a bowl of those chick peas. The curry chicken was OUTSTANDING! It was juicy, tender, and sooooooo full of flavor. As for the lamb, I’ve had lamb a few times before, and I must say that this lamb was ABSOLUTELYTHEBEST lamb I have EVER eaten INMYENTIRELIFE!!! It was tender, juicy and seasoned to perfection. Even the onions & bell pepper that were with it were great.(We did not have ANYTHING left on our plates!) We even had some banana dessert(which I forgot which one it was), but it was great! And I don’t even like bananas, so that says a lot! EVERYSINGLETHING we tasted in this place was EXTRAORDINARILY good. On top of that, all of that our entire meal(including our dessert) came to about $ 27. You cannot beat that! Before we left, the chef(Nate) came out and greeted us and we talked with him for a few minutes and let him know how much we loved the food. Everyone in this place, and everything that we ate at this place was top notch! We got sooooooooo much more than we bargained for with this place. Great service, great food, great portion sizes… We left full & thoroughly satisfied. Plus, they had so many other options to try, so we will most definitely be back.

My husband and I have been trying to move past our old favs and decided to try Julian’s! We had a great experience! The Chicken Karahi was wonderful… very spicy but we both like spice. The chicken was very juicy and we were quite impressed. Before the chicken was served we were brought a nice simple salad with a wonderful vinaigrette dressing. We were also given some nice warm nan bread that helped take the spice off the chicken. The chick peas that were served with the chicken were wonderful as well. For desert we tried their banana’s foster… a little different than what we are used to but it was quite good. We will definitely be going back!

Meh. The food here was okay, but definitely not worth 5 stars. The spicy chicken was flavorful, but very dry. The salad was a total throw away and the portions are pitifully small. If you want good kabobs, there’s lots of really good places nearby that are far more worthy of your business.

I have always supported Mom and Pop restaurants. You can find delicious food that has been forgotten by many of the chain restaurants. When I heard that Julian’s Bar & Grill had just opened, I decided to check it out. When I entered, I was shocked to see how big the place was. It was large enough to hold events of all kind there. After talking to the restaurant owner, Mrs. Elizabeth Foy, I found out that they are expanding the bar area and are changing the front sign(which still shows the last place’s name). I had an omelette and chicken kabob(I was hungry!). The omelette was just like I love it. It was full of vegetables and cheese. After savoring that, the kabob was next. It was really juicy and well marinated. I had it with the most amazing chickpeas I had ever eaten. I kept complimenting them on their chickpeas. It was definitely a surprise find. If you are in Falls Church, then definitely check out Julian’s Bar & Grill. Support the Mom and Pop restaurants in the area.
