This place has amazing sweets and wonderful buffet during Ramadan. Have always been coming here for a pretty long time. The individual items on the menu are pretty good too. Specially, the mixed grill with Chicken and Minced Lamb Kabobs. Usually, the entrees come with warm and fresh Pita bread and Arabic Lentil Soup. The soup itself is a tasty dish and could be a separate menu item. I usually mix the soup in rice and enjoy the mixture.

Just the BEST! My wife and I discovered this restaurant a few years ago and it is still has the best lamb dishes that we’ve ever had. I like every side dish and treat that i have ever had here. This time my wife had the M’saka and I had the lamb Kansas. Both were wonderful.

Came in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was inside. very good service. I ordered the Musakhan and some house hot tea. Both were excellent. I’ve never really had any food for this region of the world, and loved it. The Musakhan chicken was falling off the bone tender, the tea flavorful and paired awesomyl with the chicken. I’ll be back.

I have been to this place before, the food was so good. Now, it is so bad and the they served us used sauce and the food looked and tasted old. The Egyptian waitress was not professional. I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore like I used to.

Been eating at Jerusalem for many years, usually just for the buffet on Fridays at lunch. Always very delicious. They seemed to have stepped up their game a little bit and now the buffet is better than ever. Usually they have roasted lamb on a bed over seasoned rice. Now they are preparing the lamb a little differently, having individual portions wrapped in foil, which makes the lamb more succulent and crispy on the outside. Their soups on the buffet, usually pea or Hariri, are the best. They now have at least one sweet item on the buffet as well as their delicious tea. In addition to those items, not here is always pita and humus, as well as salad and a chicken dish. Plenty of choices for the money. The regular menu is incredible. The pastries are also amazing. In the past year or so Jerusalem remodeled, adding a few booths and carpeting. It is much cozier there now. Tip: their home made pita bread that usually comes with dishes ordered from the menu is much better than the pita on the buffet.

Delicious middle eastern food! It’s Palestinian, and different from other middle eastern places where I’ve eaten. On the outside it definitely looks like a hole in the wall, but the inside is nicely decorated and cozy. We had traditional hummus and lentil soup to start. I had the mujaddara(lentils, browned onions, and rice) which was fantastic. My husband had chicken kabob, which he said was better than most places. We finished with flan, which was food and tasted typical. Next time we need to try the baklava.

My favorite restaurant in the DMV area. I’ve been coming to this place for almost 8 years now, it was a great go to place when i lived in DC. Just take 395 down to the King St — Route 7 exit and go west for 5 minutes and Jerusalem will be in a random shopping center on your right. The Friday buffets are great, for $ 15 you usually get a lamb and rice dish, roasted chicken, a couple vegetarian dishes, hummus, baba ghanoush, and a special dessert. If you come here any other day order the following: Kabsa Musakhan Makluba Jerusalem Combo Hummus with Shawarma(Beef or Chicken) ***You gotta try their dessert!!!*** Basbousa Kewnafa I believe if you check in on Unilocal while dining in you get something.

We tried Jerusalem Restaurant for the first time with a Groupon. I’m so glad we did since it was absolutely delicious! The staff was also very nice and treated us very well. We got the falafel appetizer along with the Jerusalem Combo Platter which was more than enough for the two of us since the platter comes with soup and a salad! Their hot tea was amazing! I never comment on hot tea, but theirs is wonderful with notes of clove and cinnamon! Mmmm!!! We’ll definitely go back!

I visited Jerusalem Restaurant on a whim a couple of months ago, trying some yummy dips and desserts and deciding I would return. This past weekend was the moment(mostly because I realized my Groupon was about expire…)! Initially getting our table was a little strange but once we were seated it was all good. Our waiter was nice and helpful. We tried a multiple dishes including lamb, salmon, and chicken. The stuffed grape leaves were an excellent starter. I am a fan of their yogurt sauce, it goes well with everything, OK, maybe not the desserts although if you dare me I’d tried it. Regarding the desserts we got those to go because although we were full from the meal we knew we wanted to enjoy some of their sweet treats. Suck good honey and coconut treats. When checking out we had a nice chat with the women ringing up our desserts. She asked if it was our first visit and was pleased it was everyone’s first meal in the restaurant. She extended a welcome and encouraged another visit with a smile. For me this sealed the deal on a good meal and strongly encourages the likelihood we will be back to try some more items from the menu.

Jerusalem is a great Middle Eastern place, even with stiff competition. Jerusalem is a small but cozy little Middle Eastern place in Falls Church. It’s in a small strip mall in the back, right next to one of those sketchy-ish Latina dress shops, so the location isn’t exactly ideal. The interior is, however, very cozy. Prices are reasonable for the volume of food. I had the Beef Shawarma, Spicy Hummus, and tried two of their desserts — the Warbat and the Basboosa. All portions were HUGE — I’ll have leftovers forever. The Shawarma was more or less a decent portion of meat on top of rice, which was delicious. The rice was, predictably, over-the-top — I have no idea who eats that much rice — but the meat was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The Spicy Hummus(which came with pita bread) was AMAZING — knocked my socks off, as I’ve literally never had such good hummus. The Warbat and Basboosa were equally good, though I have no standard to compare them by. Needless to say, even though it’s surrounded by equally good Middle Eastern places, Jerusalem is a gem. Try it!

We went there for the first time ! And it was sooooo good and delicious! Must eat the falafel with some pita bred . Don’t forget to order dessert. They have the semolina cake and its Yami, I also took some of the cake home to go to enjoy them later on at home . They have free parking, the restaurant is really authentic and feel like you eat in Jerusalem Israel as the name of the place . Really recommend place I will definitely go back.

Found this restaurant on a whim but it’s slowly becoming one of my favorites in the area! The staff is incredibly nice, the restaurant itself is adorable, and the food is just amazing! We got the hummus with falafel and the veggie makluba. The hummus itself was great! Very authentic, very tasty and came with still warm pita bread. Getting the falafel on top is an ABSOLUTE must! It is delicious and freshly made! The makluba is also amazing. It is beautifully presented and just as delicious. It comes with carrot chips and a great chick pea soup. We devoured it and still had left overs! We finished the meal with cups of Arabian Coffee. If you like espresso or Cuban coffee— this is a must! Very strong! Very hot! Absolutely delicious. Great way to end the meal. I will be bringing all my friends to this place one by one and introducing them to this great little place!

My husband and I spend a few days including Fourth of July in the DC area. Came across the restaurant on groupon. Best food ever. To top it off, the staffs were outstanding. We enjoyed our experience so much, we returned the next day. Mike one of the staff there is such a lovely person. We shared with him we were out of town and he took the extract step to share with us things to do in the surrounding area. I will definitely visit this restaurant ago. 5stars all the way, for experience, food and staffs

I had been looking forward to going to this place since September, and when I got my carry-out I was very excited. When I got home and saw what we got(for $ 23 for two people) I was disappointed. The rice: very good. It’s not the most attractive rice ever, but it was cooked well and flavorful. The beef shawarma sandwich: needs improvement. The meat was good, but stringy, the sauce was grainy and bland. The tortilla was unexpected and missed the mark. The pita: really? A restaurant with the name«Jerusalem» just sold me a store-bought pita?! Are you kidding me? The fries: I didn’t really want fries, but I love fries. I love almost all fries… Except these. These fries were soggy and flavorless. Imagine eating foam ear plugs with salt on them, that would have been an improvement. Even swimming in ketchup I couldn’t make that work. The salad: an affront to all things vegetable. The sauce was like miracle whip loaded with garlic and then watered down. I’m very disappointed, especially given how amazing this place looks on the inside, and how great it smelled. I’m going to go find some chips in the kitchen now. What a shame. Update: not even the dog is interested in the fries. She likes the rice though.

(4.5 stars). Are you ever amazed that it has taken you five years to stumble upon some place so fabulous? Our friend had suggested Jerusalem a few times, and I had tucked the name away. «Virgina,» I thought, «so far… One day we’ll get there.» Today was one day, and Jerusalem well exceeded my expectations. Start with the grape leaves, and the baba ganouj, and the hummus(warning: all portions are enormous, so pace yourself! Everything served with delightful, warm pita). If I had to pick just two entrees, I’d say be sure to order the mujaddara which comes covered with flavorful fried onions. Rice and lentils never tasted so good. And the musakhan is just the very best chicken I’ve tasted. And promise me one last thing? Leave room for dessert. I’m not normally a fan of baklava — so often, it’s dry and hard, and it never truly satisfies my dessert cravings. But at Jerusalem, the baklava is a revelation, as are the variety of other desserts displayed when you enter the restaurant(don’t mess the squares of toasted semolina). I look forward to coming back again and again for this brilliant, unpretentious, delicious food.

Its a very nice place. The hosts are just amazing. We ordered lamb(Lamb kabas) and Chicken maklubha, we were not at all disappointed. They have so much in complimentary that the we had to pack the main course. The complimentary lentils, bread and salad was just amazing. The lamb with rice and chicken with rice was just awesome. The portion was huge and food was amazing. They also have a desert bar with different varieties of middle eastern sweets. We were too full to try it this time but will certainly try it next time we are here.
