I get the feeling that some of the negative reviewers haven’t been to a small bar before. My wife and I have been to Art’s a few times now, and each time has been an enjoyable experience. The drink selection is cheap and good, the food is surprisingly good, and they play plenty of sports and classic rock. What more are you looking for in a neighborhood pub? If you’re interested in a refreshing change of pace from the overpriced yuppie establishments in the area, Art’s is definitely worth a shot(or two).

a real neighborhood tavern! Great food, friendly people, been there with my friends, especially Friday night when they have live music. A few occasions on a Thursday when they have trivia. Great beer selection. Only had appetizers and they were great everytime. Good place to get together.

Not worth the trip or the money. Poor service and the staff have an attitude. Food was ok — but nothing to write home about. Went there a few weeks ago with some friends and none of us would rate this with a return visit. Really quite disappointed seeing that some have rated this with four stars.

Horrible service. The old blonde bartender is disrespectful and has an attitude and sometimes doesn’t even answer your questions. While she was making my drink, something was in my drink and she dipped her finger in my drink and took it out and then she handed me the drink, WTH. She used the F**k word everytime she talks. And oh yea it was me and another guy in the whole bar. It’s not like in the pictures packed and good crowd. Save your money and time.

fun and casual dive bar if you’re looking for a chill time. They have plenty of tvs and dart boards if you want some more entertainment.

Nice place in a little shopping center I didn’t know was there. Art’s IS Cheers in NoVa, which is a difficult concept to get my mind around, especially in the Tyson’s area. Anyway, the nice bar lady suggested the fish and shrimp tacos, which were excellent. I liked the sliders as well. I really liked this small, friendly place.

I went here last night for trivia night and it definitely exceeded my expectations. My friend told me about this place a few months ago so I thought to give it a shot. I had the«Original Philly Cheese steak» and it was one of the better cheese steaks I’ve had in awhile. The drink deals for pitchers are obviously the best with a group of 5 people so those IPAs were gone quick! I had no idea until looking at the other Unilocal reviews but I noticed the owner was the one frequently walking around the place to check on everyone, not often you see that in this area. I am definitely coming back here in the near future for the atmosphere, trivia night, dart boards, and service.

Art’s is a great neighborhood bar. It is what it is. The charm is that it ain’t fancy but generally friendly because the locals aren’t in DC to impress others. Love it because there are so few of them in the area. The added bonus is that I can walk home if I need to. Just down the hill.

This place is the closest thing I’ve seen to «Cheers» in the DC area. This is — of course — since Sharon took over. I didn’t go under the previous owner. So the first night I go, I take my husband. He is in love. They have«great bar food» he says. This is an actual food group, I’ve come to learn. It’s Thursday: Trivia night. People show up. Regulars. We meet them. I am like, «Wow! Small town America in the DC area.» I’m fourth generation and have seriously never seen this. My husband has taken friend after friend there. It’s the new«Man Cave.» We go for date night. It’s fun! He likes the bar food and for me, it’s like always: I find some salad to order. Bar staff fantastic. Not just«Oh, I have 1.5 brain cells to rub together and you are getting in between me and my next text.»

Could quite possibly have the best seasoned fries I’ve ever consumed. Crispy, seasoned perfectly. Ridiculous. Great family owned spot.

Cold beer, bar food is good… nice neighborhood bar. In Northern VA/DC area folks tend to lean toward trendy, like exotic margaritas, odd named super hoppy hipster beers and if you don’t have that then woaah look out. This reminds me of a neighborhood bar in Philly, NY, Boston. Stop in be a local and warm your night up. A good mix of blue collar and some young professionals. The area around Arts is also becoming more up scale with new construction and new faces showing up within walking distance. Another bonus, is its a family owned bar. no big commercial chain bar gimmiks just cold drinks and friendly staff.

I’m really shocked at the nastiness below. No, I am not a local and I do not know what the original bar was like but my friend and I had a great time here one Friday night. She had been wanting to try this place out(since she live around the corner), but was worried about how smokey the bar would be. I didn’t experience anyone smoking, but the bartenders were incredibly friendly from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. One bartender made my friend a custom drink that was really yummy. I ordered a gin-n-tonic with a heavy pour of Hendricks. I was really surprised to see my G&T only be $ 5. I haven’t tried any food, but my friend is eager to come back for their trivia Thursday’s. This probably isn’t the place I’d go to on a Saturday night, but I would return for a relaxed drink.

Whoa! When did the prices at this place skyrocket??? This place changed ownership not too long ago and they made some much needed upgrades to the establishment without losing its charm of a dive bar(without being a hole-in-the-wall). It is a nice place to go have a beer and and a shot, but you should know it will cost you a whole lot more than it used to! I can’t believe how much the prices went up. Going in for a «few» used to cost 25 – 30 bucks, now easily cost 55 bucks — no kidding. Another trend I’ve noticed at this bar is the past two times I’ve been there when I got the bill there have been charges for shots on my check that I did not order. Both times it was too difficult to get the [one] server’s attention to get it fixed because the late night crowd had come in for Karaōke and things were just getting out of hand. I just left my money on the table(no tip) and headed out the door. Twice burned. Not going back. They need to lower the prices on the beers and overall pay closer attention to quality. Not sure how much all of this matters because each time I’ve been in there the owner has taken up residence at a table in the bar drinking all night.

I love this place for so many reasons. I have to give it 5 stars for the best coolest bartender in the world Liz and all the other fabulous bartenders who are so sociable, understanding and just incredible in so many wonderfu, kind ways. The food is tremendous and on Fridays the music atmosphere really rocks. It also I very convenient being less than a mile off of 66 in Falls Church. No matter how busy with football games or music nights Its always going to be great service, outstanding food and fun times. I think the atmosphere is what I liked most about the Art’s Tavern. It was engaging, and you could tell from the various happy customers from all different demographics including all ages that the staff really knows how to make it all come together including the owner who is quite involved. The windows bring in plenty of sunshine and the place is really nice and clean. There are TVs everywhere, so you don’t have to crane your neck much to watch a few games.

As part of a business function, we had drinks and dinner here and stayed for trivia as well. The food was good in the same way that greasy apps are always great when served with beer — nothing wrong with them, but nothing stand out either. I do have to say that the blackened shrimp taco special was really tasty though, like someone really thought out the layers of texture and flavor in the simple little tacos. It is not on the main roads, so that is a plus for it in this traffic infested nightmare of a town.

It is what it is: a cheap dive bar filled with regulars. The food is good enough, but you’re not there for the food. You’re there for the beer. And that’s where Mark fails. The biggest problem with Mark’s is the awful beer selection. If your idea of beer is the watered down diet crap which ends in «Light» or «Lite», then Mark’s is for you. But if you actually like your beer to have substance, taste and alcohol, then you’ll be very disappointed. Unlike nearby Ledo’s Pizza, you won’t be rescued by a good bottle selection. You’re stuck with bubbly dirty dish water no matter which route you go. It’s a shame. I really wanted to like this place. Living so close, I wish it could’ve been my «neighborhood» spot. If I’m thirsty, I’ll walk to Ledo’s instead.

I was hoping this was going to be the divy hole-in-the-wall place that I’d been searching for in Tysons Corner. Unfortunately, I was let down. It certainly is off the beaten path. If not for Unilocal,I certainly would never have ventured here. The bartender is friendly and sure ‘labors’ hard for being 9 months pregnant, but something isn’t quite right here. The beers all end in the word ‘light’ and it is actually too bright in the bar. All said, they need less ‘light’. Maybe a little music too. The food is decent. I’ve had the burger and the chili — neither awesome, neither horrible. The beer(although light) certainly is cold. The combination of the frozen mug and the temperature of my beer kept creating a layer of ice at the top of my mug. It was like a slushie. At any rate, I’m not in love with the place. I’m not rushing back, but I’m not ruling it out either.
