Best Baby Back Ribs I have ever had! Pick it up and the bones fall right out. And the spicy BBQ sauce is amazing. Great flavor and the perfect amount of heat (warning: I like a lot of heat!)

We had a party this weekend with several friends helping us set up. We decided to get some food from The Rib Shack after seeing all the great reviews and recommendations from several friends in the area. Everything was amazing! The woman at the counter was as polite and friendly as you can get. This is one reason I moved to Fallbrook, it has an amazing atmosphere that reminds me of home. We got two combos with every side they sell! It was pretty great tasting a little bit about everything. I could say that the sides could have been a little bigger, but we had more than enough to go around! I say try them out if you haven’t! We ordered for pickup and it was hot and ready for us in no time.

This place is excellent. I don’t normally eat macaroni and cheese at bbq establishments but I’m glad I did here. It’s super bomb. Their pulled pork is incredibly succulent and tasty without sauce, which to me is the real test. And lastly, they have Leninade available for purchase, which is literally the only bottled beverage I will drink other than water. We will be back.

Well, changes have been made, and the Rib Shack as I once knew it is back in business! Don’t know what all had to happen, but I’m glad to be able to be satisfied with everything again!

Best tri-​tip I’ve ever had. Sauce is spicy yet not to hot. The beans are different, in a good way. This place is a little BBQ gem. Give it a try, you’ll like it.

Rib plate was delicious! Lot of delicious food, miam. I strongly recommend it if you are around.

Of all the BBQ I’ve tried, this place has THE best pulled pork. Tender, soft, not chewy, tons of it on the dinner plate. The kids’ ribs portion was large and fell apart in my fingers. The chicken nuggets weren’t fancy but so delicious. The mac’n’cheese was inhaled, so I assume they approved. And most amazingly the okra was ON POINT. So much food, so much goodness, great customer service, and my picky toddlers stuffed themselves. So much yes.

The only BBQ I will eat besides my own! This place rocks! Plus I’m gluten free and never have a prob with the pork ribs and fries! Yay!

Chicken and ribs combo! Sides are beans Mac & cheese and sweet potato fries. Chicken was so moist and had really good flavor. Baby back ribs falling off the bone, but still on the bone. Meats smoked to perfection. Perfect!!! Sweet Potatoe fries so really delicious. Beans are authentic with 3 types. Mac & cheese. cheeeezy! All round, one the best BBQ meals I have tasted on the westside

HIDDEN GEM! We stopped by here for lunch on our way to San Diego, and we are so glad we did ! George and his wife were very friendly and helped us choose our orders. We had the rib+chicken combo and beef (tri tip)+rib combo. We can not stop saying how good everything was ! My very picky 3 year old daughter loved it too! (She is the biggest critic of us all)
We highly recommend stopping by to eat at this awesome place. We will definitely be coming back again!

Best BBQ I’ve had in CA. Being from KC it’s nice to have a great bbq place in our new home.

This is a must stop right off the 15 & 76 frwy next the Pala Market. We had the Tri Trip sandwich combo, the meat wasn’t dry had a great smoke taste and very juicy. I had the Pull Pork Sandwich (the bun is right on the spot with Coleslaw, Yum! It has tons of smoky great meat. The owner said he smoke the meat for 9 hrs then they slow cook it over night.

Tri tip is very good. I keep going back to try something different and see the tri tip and order it every time.
The only thing I am not liking lately is this new trick while using the Square to take my debit card, the next screen I was giving only gave me three options of percentage to add to my bill as a tip. Tips are voluntary and I won’t go back unless I take cash.

If you love bbq this is the place to go. Amazing food and amazing people. Nice little place. And lots of food for a good price.

We love the Rib shack. We have tried several things. We found is best to later in the day when the meat has been smoking all day. SUPER YUMMY!

If you are in search of a decent rib shack off the beat check this place out. I have been here twice and found the service and quality to be consistent. This is a good sign of a good run joint. If you can produce good bbq product consistently you have something going.
The ribs were ok but the brisket was good. The seasoning was good and the meat had a decent smoke ring on the outer edge. These guys are cooking the brisket for 10 hour plus on a real grill. You can even ask to see the pit if you have time. Overall good place for the price.

Fantastic amazing BBQ! I had to go to Fallbrook to take care of some real estate business and after I finished showing some homes I was starving. I was in the middle of town and after looking through Unilocal I found this place which is in the same parking lot as Nessy’s.
I have to say I was really surprised by this place. BBQ really is hit or miss, and I’m not often impressed by many BBQ places.
Unfortunately they were out of Brisket & Tri-​tip that day. These were the 2 items that I wanted so that was a little disappointing. They were currently in the smoker and they weren’t going to be ready for awhile.
I got the rib plate which came with 6 ribs, 2 sides, and a dinner roll. They have 2 types of BBQ sauce, their original, and their sweet bold sauce. The ribs come dry and you slather the sauce on yourself. I wasn’t really too impressed with their original sauce but the sweet/​bold was quite good. The ribs themselves were obviously smoked and had a really nice smoke charged outside layer.
Fall off the bone doesn’t even begin to describe these things. I literally barely even touched the rack and the rib bones practically melted right off th meat. The rib meat is juicy and extremely flavorful. You can taste the smoke in the meat and it’s delicious. I devoured them like a starving man.
The sides were good too. I got their french fries and baked beans. They offered a nice selection of bottled root beer as well inluding Virgil’s. Unfortunately they were out of stock on the Virgil’s so I didn’t have the chance to try it. I guess it’s a big seller and they go through it quickly.
The lady cashier was very nice and personable. I chose to eat inside and had a nice chat with her while I was eating.
The décor inside is nice. It’s a very small place but tastefully decorated.
Pricing is about what you would expect for the level of quality. I think it might be a a little on the high side compared with what I’m used to seeing but with this level of quality it’s worth every penny.
Only suggestion is to add a few more side options. They only offer french fries, potato salad, coleslaw, beans, and okra (I think). I’m not a fan of potato salad or coleslaw. I was really hoping for some nice homemade macaroni and cheese but they don’t offer it.
I will definitely be back in the future anytime I am in Fallbrook!

My wife and I had a craving for BBQ today, and asking some of the locals in Fallbrook we we’re pointed to The Rib Shack. So we took the 20 minutes to ride our scooter over here and we were glad we did.
We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, and a tri tip sandwich along with coleslaw and the beans… They have two bbq sauces that I saw. A sweet sauce and a smokey sauce. My wife and I preferred the smokey sauce, and it went very well with the moist, smokey sandwiches.
They were big, and we couldn’t finish them for lunch, so we are going to eat the other half for dinner.
We will be back!

Here’s how it started… «We are out of everything except beef ribs, baby back ribs and pulled pork».
What does this tell me? I missed out on something — and the food must be good.
Know what I learned? Food IS good.
The baby back ribs were awesome. The beef ribs Flintstone size and meaty.
As far as the side, have to vote pass on the coleslaw — it just lacked flavor, be it a touch more sugar or a touch more vinegar this slaw needed something STAT!
Fries, potato salad, rolls and beans were all good.
Services was down home, nice and friendly. He was very apologetic for our wait/​lack of variety.
