Beautiful place to visit! Easy to get to close to freeway, but once you get there you think your somewhere else with the beautiful scenery. Great place to take photos. They have a cute café plenty of seating. The lemonade is really good! They have a gift shop with cute little gifts and homemade treats, and of course flowers and trees to buy. Great place to just getaway from the city.

If I could give more stars I would! I did a bridal shoot here recently and WOW! It is gorgeous. Even in the winter when there is little color it’s still enchanting. The employees are so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

Great garden, but skip the café. The roadside sign says«Organic Café», but the food is pre-made and brought in from elsewhere. The hot cocoa is Nescafe and comes out of a machine. The coffee is only available with artificial creamer, which contains the following list of ingredients: corn syrup solids vegetable oil(including partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil)[4] sodium caseinate dipotassium phosphate mono– and diglycerides sodium aluminosilicate artificial flavour annatto colour Carrageenan Yuck.

Out for a Sunday drive, we decided to stop by based on the good reviews. We had our tribe of several kids with us, ranging in ages from one to 10. We were intrigued by the idea of the provided picnic, by in the end decided to eat at the tables since there were plenty and it would be easier to wrangle children. Although many reviews indicate how great it is to take kids there, the café isn’t really set up for kids, especially large families. There are no high chairs, and nothing on the menu that really appeals to kids. I’m not talking chicken crapnuggets — my kids are decent eaters — but a quinoa, feta and black bean bowl is a bit of a stretch for even adventurous children. I ended up with a bowl of the much touted chilli, but was warned that it was a bit spicy. My 10yo couldn’t even eat it, so I had to buy another meal. The other kids pulled a turkey sandwich to pieces, which was fine. I enjoyed the rejected chilli so all good there. The sandwiches are pre-made each morning, so are refrigerated cold. Interestingly, they start serving at 11 although you can buy coffee earlier. We got there around 10:45 and they wouldn’t serve earlier or even take our order. Which seems odd remembering they are already sitting in the fridge ready to go. The coffee was nice enough but pre-sweetened, which I didn’t expect or really want. I sent the oldest in to ask for water for each of the kids and was told they only sell bottled water — at $ 3/bottle! We did buy a pie to bring home, which was delicious, and the atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. I can more imagine going there with the husband or a couple of friends. A selection of local wines to go with your lunch would be a nice addition. It was nice enough, although pretty pricey, and given the mixed experience today, not sure we’d make the drive back again.

I brought my photo clients to Myrtle Creek and we all instantly fell in love with the location. They offer many beautiful locations throughout their space for a picturesque setting. Their rustic and eclectic environment is perfect for couples and families. In addition to the perfect location, the café offers delicious treats including the Myrtle Berry Lemonade, which I will be sure to get again when I return. Their friendly staff was so helpful and I look forward to seeing them in our next encounter.

Went today based off Unilocal reviews. It took about an hour and ten minutes to get there from South Orange County. It was«OK». I was expecting more of a Botanical garden like it advertises as. A lot of the sections had«employee only» signs. It is basically a Nursery selling plants, a small cute café to get the Marion berry pie and drinks. That part was pleasant, the pie was good and we got a berry lemonade and sat outside amongst the plants, in the sun and heard birds. It was nice. There is a small store selling craft like things plus a house called a plantation house that they said they rent for parties. The grounds are ok. It was a far drive to teach there where my expectations based off reviews and marketing were not really met, I guess I was just expecting large, manicured grounds of beautiful plants and flowers but instead it was a nursery selling plants and oh — Christmas Trees. I will say the Christmas Trees were beautiful– very fresh, healthy and dark green. If you want a Christmas Tree the far distance is definitely worth it.

Adorable place off the beaten path in Fallbrook. Lots to do. You can make your own wreath or fairy garden, buy Christmas trees, plants, flowers. There’s a retail store decked out with xmas décor, very nice. They make their own soy candles, lotions and soaps. The café is nice, you can eat outdoors next to the creek. My only complaint is that the menu options aren’t quite what they seem and the rude employee on today didn’t have enough sense to tell that it was our first time and perhaps should’ve explained how things work instead of assuming we knew what was up… if it’s on the menu, you should have it… if not… Then erase it off THECHALKBOARD, otherwise customers will order according to what they see on the menu. We ended up having a chicken sandwich(with too much guacamole) on a pretzel bun… wasn’t on the menu lol There is a plantation house that you can tour as well as book for parties, showers etc., this employee, thought it was appropriate to interrupt my questioning about the plantation house and how to make reservations to tell me I had lettuce in my teeth, really? How uncouth. Who ever is doing the hiring/training either needs to do a better job or reach beyond the backwoods of Fallbrook to find some experienced, more professional, tactful employees who would be an asset to this awesome establishment. Whatever hiring practices you are relying on ITISNOTWORKINGFORYOU! The retail area(house) where you can buy ornaments and other cute xmas decorations has a great selection of original decorations, very well done here with the decorating and again, if not for the rude older women working there it would’ve been great! The only nice lady(and I pointed this out to her) was the lady selling pies all the rest seemed put out by having to do their jobs. There was no cheer here, no «Welcome», no «Merry Christmas», or even«happy holidays». I purchased a few candles and a small tree but if not for the cold shoulders from the collective employees, I probably would’ve spent more $$ Would be interested in returning when it’s cooler out and having some hot tea or hot cocoa, was a bit warm out for that today. I really hope by then there is a serious change in attitude of the employees and that today experience is not indicative of day to day operations. Fingers crossed!

The garden area is amazing… beautiful setting. The food is brought in from elsewhere and isn’t made fresh on site… hugely dissappointing.

Visited last Sunday for the first time with my lil kids. They loved the place. I did too. Lots of beautiful picturesque areas. And it’s free! Small store has beautiful christmas trees up. We had tried their berry pie. It was delish! Will definitely be back again.

This is my new favorite daytime spot when not at Succulent Café in Oceanside or Story Café in Carlsbad/La Costa… gardens, shop, fabulous one of a kind items for sale… great although very limited fresh food items delivered in picnic baskets… Despite weekend crowds there is more than enough seating and cute benches, shady knolls etc — oh yes they sell plants, flowers, trees too! And looks like it would be a great spot to rent for a function! Had live music when I was there! 1898 barn, ponds, water lilies… Lovely and just down street from Live Oaks Park. Worth the trip!

I have been to Myrtle Creek a few times now. This nursery is a nice place to visit even if you’re not going to buy plants/tree. It has a little bit of a Roger’s Gardens(Newport Beach) feel but more park/farm like. They have an amazing gift shop with pies, jams, vintage items, and other cool handmade things for sale. I bought a beautiful re-purposed door that had been made into a mirror from them. Love it! They have goats that you can feed and pet which was so nice for me because I had a goat when I was young, so I really enjoyed feeding and petting theirs. The grounds are beautiful. They offer classes in different craft type things too. The only slight issue I had was that the landscape guy who worked there didn’t know the prices or about some of the shrubs I was asking him about. That was a little odd since they are technically a nursery. Nonetheless, I highly recommend them. It’s a nice place to visit, buy plants or shop for an unusual gift!

My wife and I just spend a Sunday afternoon at Myrtle Creek and had a wonderful time! Its a beautiful place; lots of trees and interesting plants, jams, jellies and salsas for sale inside the 1880s-era farmhouse, picnic areas and a wonderful deli with sammies and salads served in picnic baskets(and they’ll even loan you a blanket if you like!). I can see this being a wonderful place for a family outing, maybe even a big one for 8 –12 people. Looking forward to coming back with friends!

This is a lovely place to leisurely spend an afternoon. This is like Babe meets Secret Garden with a splash of fairy land. The layout and decorations are photo-worthy and some of the items are hilarious and cool. My girl friends and I spent an afternoon here and had a fantastic time. Upon arrival, we went to get food. I had the turkey club on a pretzel bun. The flavor is amazing and the pretzel bun is so good. The lemonade is refreshing, which is perfect on a hot day. Our meals all came with an organic apple, which I was really happy to see. The perfect touch is that our food came in picnic baskets. How adorable! The pie here is a must as well. After eating, we walked around and did a bit of shopping. Make sure to stop by the barn and feed the goats(1st cup is free) and check out the cool items for sale. We found some hilarious treasures, including a nose picking troll! Would I come back again? You bet! Would I recommend this place? Must go!

Wonderful place to buy plants, take photos, eat lunch or just walk around! The location is park like. They really have put a lot into how they present themselves. The layout and decorations are amazing. Of course I have to mention the staff. very helpful when you need them but they aren’t hanging over your shoulder! I did have such on one occasion here… ok, I had pie and ice-cream lol. very cute café. You can eat in or take your picnic basket to the lawn. Would be a great date idea. The goats… oh the goats! SO friendly!

I love visiting Myrtle Creek! They have an outstanding selection of plants & gifts. I’ve had the privilege of doing a few photoshoots on the premises which is gorgeous. If you haven’t been, stop by for a slice of pie or a cup of coffee and enjoy the experience.

I just love to visit this place. It’s such a treasure in the heart of Fallbrook. It has a cute red barn with goats. There are so many places to take pictures. They just added a wonderful café the serves some organic items. The nursery and those who run it are so kind and friendly. Definitely will be back!
