Went the first week it open. My husband order the shrimp and chicken fajitas, this was a huge plate with big shrimp. I order the bacon wrap shrimp. It was okay. Not too impressed. Any who i got Free refills and the service okay. We waited about 15 mins to place the order. We went about a month ago. Never going again. My husband order the same shrimp fajitas it was 3 times smaller. About 5 little tiny shrimp and the free refills were no more… the serves was worse. I had to get up and pay for my check, because there was no waiters to be found. Never going again.

I liked the food, but the service was absolutely awful. We were brought our silverware a couple minutes after our food was brought to us. So we were sitting there with our food, but no silverware.

I should’ve just stopped at the dumpster and eaten there instead. Take my advice, skip this place. It gets 2 stars only to keep it ranked higher than Burger King, THEWORSTSHOWONTELEVISION. Ranch it up!

I love this place! The service has come a long ways from when they first opened, the seafood is always fresh and made to order, love a nice cold beer or Michelada with my fish tacos on a hot California day! Or a nice warm Caldo 7 Mares on rainy days! Nothing like it in Fallbrook or the surrounding areas! And the live entertainment on weekends it’s always fun!

Smelled like backed up septic tank and pine sol. We were not told you had to pay for drink refills and the tortillas that came with our lunch cost extra. So our lunch quickly added up to a costly meal unnecessarily. Never going back.

My famiy had about 15 different items. Almost all of them were horrible. The shrimp tacos were the lone exception. We had to go to Jack in the Box when we left. The shrimp cocktail tasted like it had poor quality shrimp from an can.

We were walking by and decided to give it a try. Order the ceviche Fish tostada. Absolutely the worst ceviche we have had anywhere in our lives. See the pictures. Tastes and looks like frozen fish that is literally ground up. Again, see the pictures. With carrots. Also, after tasting a small bit, we both left it on the table because we were afraid of getting sick. NEVERCOMINGBACK.

This restaurant could use a few mouse traps… Last time we went their I saw one of the furry critters scamper across the floor. Food is so so. There are better choices in town. No, I didn’t stay after I saw the mouse!

We tried this place and were hoping for a new in town favorite, but instead we were disappointed — in everything! The food was poorly presented and the taste well… all I can say was that we didn’t finish and we did not take the leftovers! The hot salsa was simply blended jalapeños and maybe a bit of lime. Ick. Also when we were given the wrong bill they argued with us. There was a kids chicken meal and our order was just my husband and I no kids meals! Additionally we had asked for a bit of a Diablo sauce, which they brought and it was horrible(bad enough) they had the audacity to charge $ 4.99 for the tiny bowl and never even said there was a charge! We wont go back.

Clean friendly and delicious. I ordered the skirt steak and grilled shrimp. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the skirt steak was tender. Everything tasted great together.

Family dinner for Five only to have the chips and salsa… Menu looked good but the SERVICE was HORRIBLE! No One came for 30min. So we took our business elsewhere! :-\

If you are a fan of seafood then this is the place to be. Everything tastes as if it was brought straight in from the ocean to the boat to the plate… FRESH! Not many good restaurants in Fallbrook so this one has become a family favorite. They often have live music and also have tv’s to keep up with the latest sporting events if you’re a fan. Buckets of beer on ice, good food, good music, good people. Las Islas Marias has definitely found a home in Fallbrook. Will definitely keep coming back.

This was our first stop at the once again remodeled restaurant. Here’s a summary: The interior has been redone and we really liked it. Nice booths and quite a few of them. The service was half good/half bad. The waitress we had on a Friday night didn’t seem to have a command of the English language(Example: my husband asked for a fork and her response was«that’s perfect»?? A gentleman was also helping out and he was great. They also seem to bring each persons meal out separately. Mine came out, then 3 – 5 min later, my husbands. I noticed this is how it was happening at every table which I thought was really weird. They also fill the small salsa cups about ¼ full so if you like it, they have to bring refills — several times. Same with the salad dressing — no kidding, it came with like 1 teaspoon — not enough to do much of anything. Is that the biggest deal in the world, No– but it was just odd I ordered the carna asada and shrimp. The pro’s, the grilled shrimp was good — I liked the side salad that came along(see note on volume of dressing) and the meat was flavorful and well prepared– the challenge was the marinade was more soy or teriyaki based so it felt more asian than mexican so I wasn’t expecting that — Again, it wasn’t bad — it was just confusing and not what I expected. My husband got the fish tacos and said they were«just ok». The rice was more of a white rice with veggies(seemed like it would be at home at a buffet line not a restaurant) and the beans — sorry, tasted like they were right out of a Rosarito can. The chips & salsa, they were ok — they have a «hot green sauce» which was again, confusing — couldn’t really get a feel for what all was in it, not bad — just different. Oh, how could I forget — they had a guitar player and he was fantastic… really enjoyed his playing during dinner… might go back just to see him! IN summary, I like to support local businesses… so we may come back — but nothing stood out like we are dying to go back… maybe it is just not our thing… wish them great success.

If anyone likes the food and the skin of their mouth doesn’t burn off, good luck. I read the reviews and would never believe an experienced Mexican seafood chief would operate his kitchen in this manner. Busy, grand opening, is no excuse for no salsa. Beans dry and tasteless. Everything so hot, some green mess tasted Chinese, and they blended some green stuff with a cup of lemon juice and called it fresh salsa. Someone could have went to Albertsons and bought some. Fish taco made with lettuce & pathetic little fishes, without dressing. First time in a long time stomachs upset, sent back & refused langostino, ordered it mild, came HOT! and canceled carne asada taco, and went somewhere else to eat. Had ordered rice and flour tortillas, never came. Plus the only white wine, Pino Grigio(sp) was warm. Servers were very nice and the music, Fallbrook Vigelante, the best and reason drove up from Menifee.

I heard it was going to be another mexican restaurant and I was like. «Again?!» I am so glad I decided to give it a try tho. One of my favorite restaurant in town. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Fallbrook. The taste, the flavor, the seasoning is all delicious and Yummy! It’s my second time here and I enjoyed my food every time. Cerveche and tostadas is served as an appetizer. Ordered the huge hot pot of seafood, appetizer mussels, and one of the best steak ever!!! I can not wait for their half off grand opening!

My new favorite place in town. This place is not your typical run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant. It’s like Mexican meets Joe’s Crabshack. We went their first weekend they opened for a soft opening. Minus a few service bumps, which I’m sure will be ironed out in time, it’s a really nice restaurant with very friendly staff. We’ll be back for grand opening in January. All the food was full of flavor. We ordered the Carne Asada with Shrimp and the Molcjete, with a side of guacamole. The carne asada was a skirt steak that was very tender and melted in my mouth. The Molcjete(mixed seafood bowl) came out pipping hot and had a delicious, spicy, yet buttery flavor. It felt perfect for the cooler weather. The guacamole was unlike any I’ve had before, with a bright, citrus flavor that went well with the seafood fare. I can’t wait to go back and try other things. Don’t assume this restaurant is like all the other endless number of Mexican restaurants in Fallbrook. Give them a try.
