Garden Pizza

The rudest pizzeria in the world. I asked a question and this was the response: «Dude, are you going to order something or not?». There are plenty of other pizzerias. Don’t go there.

Garden Pizza is a reliable place to order food from or call for take out. I’ve had everything from pizza and entrees and it is always good quality. Calling for delivery might run you a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour so if you are willing you’re better off calling ahead for a pick up. They are always friendly when placing an order over the phone and if you’re lucky you can use coupons for some of your orders! (The coupons usually come taped to the pizza box when you place a delivery order.)
We usually order a chicken parm dinner to split and then a small pie. The portions are reasonable for the prices they charge. I’ve also on a separate occasion have catered a tray of penne ala vodka and chicken parm and everyone was saying how delicious it was. Best part of that deal was that they delivered it to my house! If in the Upper North Bergen area or Fairview I would take a chance on Garden Pizza.
Side Note: They do charge a delivery fee.

I have a been customer of Garden Pizza for 12 years. My experience in the first 10 years has been above average with the quality of the food and service.
Unfortunately, the past 2 years there has been a significant drop off in customer service. My latest and final disappointment I will share with you. March 25^th good Friday I called GARDEN PIZZA at 6:20 p.m. an placed a dinner order for 3 to be delivered I live 3 traffic lights from the GARDEN PIZZA restaurant. The expected delivery time I was told was 45 minutes to 1 hour which seemed reasonable to me at the time. At 7:40 I called to get a status update on my dinner delivery time I was told it would be delivered in 25 minutes, at 8:15 I called again because no delivery had been made I was told by the owner whom I have been talking all this time that I’m 2 minutes my food would be there at 8:45 my son n I decided to drive to GARDEN PIZZA and pick up r dinner ourselves I had no choice at this point since they had already processed the charge to my credit card as I pulled out of the driveway guess who pulls up behind me at 8:56 pm
The owner didn’t even offer a discount for my order after lying to for 2 hours about my delivery that is very bad service and disrespectful for a long time customer.

Just ordered pizza. I’ve eaten here before with no complaints. I actually never complain about food, but I ordered a large cheese pie that came way too quickly. You would think that’s a good thing, but it’s not! Just ate one slice and I feel sick. The cheese has an after taste that is lingering. My stomach feels upset and I literally just ate this 5 minutes ago. Point is… The pizza was definitely not fresh. Never eating or ordering from here again!!!

I loved coming here until I ordered something that said it was 7 bucks. They charged me 10 and I told them t was 7 but they insisted I payed the 7 so I asked for the manager and he also insisted I pay. I told them to keep it and as I was walking out he said okay fine you can pay 7. They are rude and I would never go back there IDC how good the food is. It’s like a bunch of old jocks run the place.

Deeeelicious pizza. One of the best in bergen county, why you might ask? Because it isn’t overly sauced, or overly cheesed. Yes, I made that word up. It’s not too oily nor is it too salty, just right. Margarita pie is amazeballs. If you disliked my lingo, should have stopped reading after seeing «cheesed»

Been coming here for i don’t even know how long now but I’m sure if you ask the family about me they’ll know me! LOL… Anyway ALL THE PIZZA IS AMAZING let me say it again ALL THE PIZZA IS AMAZING and the dishes! Traditional Italian food and the family vibe is the best! You guys need to come to LA!

You Guys are still #1…No one can hold a candle to your Pizza, or any of your entries.

Love the Pasta with fresh plum tomato sauce and basil with the chicken and I always ask to put Broccoli in that sauce!
The «Whole Wheat Healthy Grilled Chicken Wraps. It is always delivered warm, and is always delicious.
Tastes just like my Nornas (Grandmas) sauce. I am happy to know we still have a place where the food is good. Hard to find, now a days.

Place is so good. Food is exactly what you expect it to be. Grilled chicken is grilled chicken.

I recently move to NJ with the wife and with all our moves take out & delivery is part of our weekly dinner plans. Pizza and Chinese are probably 1 and 2 in delivery service and Garden Pizza is a very good option in our choice of pizza delivery service.
Now, my big three pet peeve’s when it comes to delivery service with restaurants are «delivery time»; «food temp» and «value». I found Garden Pizza to be very good in all three. Delivery time within quote time. Food was warm to hot. Price point average to good. Overall, if you want Pizza delivery in Cliffside Park; Garden Pizza does a very good job.
Funny I have not mention how was the pizza by now. Let me say, very good in all my criteria for pizza. Crust to sauce to cheese to toppings, all with the right ratio of technique in cooking and ingredients. Oh yeah, it taste great.
Meat Lover’s Pizza… stuff with a ton of sausage, pepperoni, meatball and ham. I mean there was not an open space on top. All good. Thin crust with a snap. Pizza did not droop when pickup. It was a very good slice. Sauce did not overpower slice. I would add a bit more cheese, but this does not deter from a good slice.
The Original Margharita Pizza, was delicious. A very airy and light pie that just melted with flavor. A 14″ round deep dish foccacia style pizza with fresh mozzarella, plum tomatoes & fresh basil. Great ratio of ingredients with a very crispy edge. As good as it gets.
Sausage Roll, very average. Just a filler. Not bad, but just average.
Veal Parm, very good. Overstuffed hero with tender breaded veal, mozz and sauce. Another well balanced sandwich. This was a huge sandwich. Enough for two. Did I say very tasty.
Meatball Parm, another solid sandwich. Tasty meatballs, mozz and sauce in a nice foccacia or Italian bread. Bread was fresh and soft and had that balance with ingrdients.
As you can see I have ordered a few times for delivery and pickup service. Delivery guys friendly and nice. Pizza guys old school. I read some reviews that said they where rude. I found them to be genuine and nice guys. These guys are not PC guys, but the «how ya doin» kind of guys. Like I said old school with respect.

Been eating there food since it was Johnnies pizza great famiily owned Italian food always good sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. People seem to have a problem with ordering over phone saying staff is rude blah blah blah but those guys are just funny probably sarcastic but it’s not that serious there busy so it’s cool with me…

Excellent food at this place! I’ve been coming here for years and everything is always on point. You will not be disappointed.

I have not one complaint! My favorite pizza around. The white slice is my absolute favorite!

Let me start off with the only thing I’ve ordered from them is a regular cheese pizza and a white pizza, the white pizza is about $ 15.00 for a large. The regular cheese pizza is ok nothing spectacular about it, but the white pizza deserves all 5 stars. it’s delicious! I It has just the right blend of ricotta and mozzarella cheese, if you’re a fan of white pizza this is one you should try.
In regards to service and delivery times so far all my orders have been correct and on time. Another plus is that they have and honor their coupons so there is always some deal, if you’re in the area I would definitely give them a shot.

I love these guys, I have been ordering and eating here since I was young teenager. My favorite is the magherita pizza, I am a magherita pizza queen and have had it in various places but I always come back here for Garden’s. I see there are some reviews about the staff being rude to females. I have been here maybe 40 times in the past decade and have never felt disrespected by the staff, ever. To me, they’re just regular Italian dudes with that Jersey ‘fougettaboutit’ Italian steeze.

Margarita pizza is ok. Regular pizza is ok, but flavorless lasagna, pasta & sauce & pasta fagioli. The beans in the soup were hard. Soup was cold. The only thing good was the bread that came with our meals. Guy on the phone was nice, but pushy. Not a fan at all.

Great home style made pizza, salad was a sized well and nicely priced. The décor is old school, but the atmosphere suited. Service was ok, needs working on but still good enough to have me come back.

I really wish I didn’t have to give these people a star at all.
First of all they’re always so rude, especially to woman. Regardless of calling in, picking up, delivery or walking in to sit down for lunch the owners/​workers are so inconsiderate and rude.
I decided to cater for my sons birthday party. When I walked in they asked what they could do for me, I told them I spoke to someone the previous day regarding catering and HE TOLD ME TO COME IN for more details on the tray size etc. The man «helping» me sarcastically said well that was yesterday so what do you want now?
I looked at the trays and left.
Still giving them credit (even though every single time I speak to these people they’re always rude and disgusting) I called to order lunch for delivery. My 1year old started crying so I asked the gentleman on the phone to just give me one second so I can grab him and then give him the credit card number. He said and I quote, «what is with you people? You know you’re going to pay with a damn credit card how hard is it to have it ready to give when you order!» I told him he was an inconsiderate a-​hole who has no respect for his customers especially when you hear my child screaming in the background. He said he has children too and he apologizes and hung up the phone on me.
I called him back and told him again how rude he was and if he has children then he of all people shod understand it is difficult sometimes to do more than one thing at once. He said is this conversation over yet?
Needless to say, he lost my 80 person catering order and the rest of the neighborhood plus family from ever ordering from them again.

Best pizza in town service was great atmosphere is laid back good with kids cheap prices

Their margherita pizza is the only pizza in the world I get serious cravings for on a regular basis. Like SERIOUS cravings. It’s so simple yet SOOO good. They offer many other food options, but I JUST WANT MY MARGHERITA PIZZA!
The family that runs the place is super nice. They really know what they’re doing over there. It’s serious business.
Cravings when they hit are the worst on Sundays because they are closed, but nothing is worst than those cravings that hit during that one whole month over the summer when they are closed and they go to Italy. Those are the truly hard times…
Tip: Order a small cheese pizza when you order a margherita pizza. It’s free with the coupon (on their menu) although they never really ask for it even though I always have it.
