Tom Wahl’s

I was in the Fairport area and needed to get a quick bite for lunch and saw Tom Wahl’s so I stopped in for some cheeseburgers. I’ve been to their other locations including the original in Avon and in Brighton. This place felt like a typical fast food joint nothing special…
All of these experiences have been fine but the burgers themselves tend to be overcooked since they are so thin. I believe that Don’s in Sea Breeze is a superior burger — juicier and tastier.
I would certainly stop here before going to the big chains but I would definitely look for other options.

My wife and I went in this evening (12 Jan 2016) and ordered a couple burgers. It was explained that «everything» included ketchup, mustard, hot sauce (hot meat sauce) along with the standard lettuce, tomato etc. I was excited about the hot sauce and I like everything else including extra pickles so I ordered «everything». In my naïveté I neglected to check the darn bag before leaving and when we got home to eat I discovered that «everything» means a plain burger with a dash of ketchup and mustard and a little container of pickles on the side… not a happy camper.

This is the first time I have been in Tom Wahl’s in five years. So I asked the cashier how to order. This is key to this whole post. Do you subtract items on you burger (–mustard) or do you add (+pickles). She took the order correctly but the person who made the items must have been lost in space because the two burgers we received were no where close to our order. The worst part was the burger with everything had a dollop each of mustard and ketchup. No enough to we the bun.
There is **no chance I will go there again knowing that the location in Perinton is less sloppy and more caring about their customers.
**I returned to Tom Wahl’s the next day to get my money back and the manager insisted we give it another try. So I got my husband from the car and we tried again. I am taking back everything thing I said about their burgers being dry and missing toppings. They got it right this time and both my husband and I were very happy the burgers were so tasty. Thank you Tom Wahl’s for listening.

This location is sub par. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was bloody in the middle I brought it to their attention and they cooked another one. It was nearly burnt to a crisp. Also the fries were cold and soggy. I have had better burgers and fries at other Tom Wahls locations.

Good food. I ordered the bleu burger and the clam chowder. The burger was great as was the New England clam chowder I ate. I recommend this place the everyone. Just a little pricey but I’ve seen a lot worse. I like the new look on the front of the store too

Great soft serve vanilla ice cream cone, largest I’ve ever gotten for $ 0.99

Solid.

Nice italian sausage sandwich with fries…
