I was told about a month ago about this place, and heard through the grapevine that they were really good. I had really high expectations going into it, and they were completely matched. I was worried that with all of the hype, it would be a total let down. That was not the cast, at all. The CHP and the Peanut Butter Chocolate donut were insanely good. The chai donut had a lot of chai frosting on it, and was kind of hard to eat. It was still really tasty though. My girlfriend has The Dutchman(I couldn’t because i’m a lactard) and she really liked it, and even wanted to go back and get a second one. I would recommend this place, and next time I am on my way though Fairfield early morning I’m going to stop in and get another one. *NOTE* once they run out of donuts, they close up shop for the day, so make sure you get there earlier in the day or you run the possibility of missing out. Enjoy!

Great novelty donuts. Unique flavors done with lots of care. The quality of ingredients and craftsmanship seemed very good to me. The donuts were delicious! The donuts seem to be priced to be «novelty» only. Like maybe for special occasions, but I wouldn’t think of this place when it’s time to go get donuts for a group or something. It would cost way too much. Also, no milk? Really? Am I the only one who likes donuts with my milk? Why wouldn’t you carry milk in a donut shop? I’m super happy that wild donuts are available in this spot, but I don’t think people will ever be delighted paying those prices — maybe sacrifice some margin for volume? Good luck RDD! I’ll be back about twice a year! Love your novelty donuts!

Looks can be deceiving. At least that’s my opinion about Red Devil Donuts. Candy coated, sweet, original, exotic, fancy, etc. These are all adjectives that you can use to describe what Red Devil Donuts has to offer. But I wasn’t all too impressed. So, let’s start with our taste test. There’s so many donut concoctions here that we came prepared. We had a total of 5 donuts to choose from. And in order to try them all, we shared each donut. Our Choices: –The CHP: This is a maple glazed donut with bacon bits on top. –Hollywood Tan: Chocolate donut with Butterfinger candy pieces mixed in. –Color Me Bad: A peanut butter and chocolate glazed donut with a bunch of mini M&M’s –Berlin: Chocolate with coconut, pecan, and caramel –Violet Beauregard: Their version of a blueberry donut If I had to pick, my favorite was the Color Me Bad. All the special toppings tasted exactly how you expect them to taste. You’re basically eating a candy bar. If you have a sweet tooth, then Red Devil’s donuts may be for you. In my opinion, their actual donuts are lack luster at best. Since we got here early, the donuts were fresh. However, their donuts lack everything from taste to texture. Overall, you can say that the first bite starts off with 4+ stars, but diminishes really quick once you get to the actual donut. PS: Service is fantastic here, some of the nicest people definitely work here. Also, we didn’t have a tough time finding this place like other Unilocalers. UnilocalPERSONALCHALLENGE2013 —(484⁄500)
