We ordered two burritos and a plate of nachos via a delivery service. When we received the food, it was cold — now, this may be the fault of the delivery service, but when I say it was cold, I mean it was as though the food came right out of the refrigerator — the cheese was still in its shredded form, not melted and then gone cold, which I would understand. The burritos were both terribly small, approximately 1⁄3 of the size of similar establishments in the area(Chipotle, Señor Salsa, etc.) They did not provide any salsa for the chips, and the food itself was low on flavor. It was also on the pricy side — the meal(not including any of the delivery pricing) was about $ 10 more than a similar order Señor Salsa, and it was cold, small, and lacking in flavor. This is a shame — I’ve been to other Moe’s locations before(in West Hartford, for example) that have been fantastic. I was extremely disappointed.

QUACISN’T EXTRACHARGE, REPEATQUACISN’T EXTRACHARGE. Great place to go if you haven’t spoken to a human being all day. They are forced to yell«Hello, Welcome to Moes» when you walk in. Sometimes I come by just for that. Been coming here since Chipotle cant seem to make a Quesadilla for some reason. Been Getting the Stacks, basically taco bells crunch wrap with your choice of meat, Its pretty delicious and can be made into a healthy version of the crunch wrap. Ill admit sometimes the food is a little cold but I find that I experience that at every chipotle as well, every burrito from any chipotle I’ve ever been too was cold. Pro tip, just politely ask them to cook it a little longer, I do it every time and they are super nice and I get what I want. At least here they actually throw your order onto a grill, not just from the cold bar in the front. People are complaining about the price on here but its only like 11 $ tops, the same as Chipotle, and QUACISFREEPEOPLE. The Salsa bar could use a lot of work but so can Chipotles, which i don’t even think they have one. The salsa isn’t bad though, just wish there was a chunky fresh one. Lot of comments about the staff here being rude/whatever but thats false because they are always so excited when you walk in the door. The staff at Chipotle is so rude they seem upset they are making tacos. Chipotle is just hyped up by pretentious scrubs, get over it. I will admit though, the art on the walls of the celebrity look a likes its pretty tacky. I have the least complaints about this place then any other mexican chain. If you want the freshest go to senior salsa, if you want that nasty good good, come here.

Chicken bacon ranch was a ton of ranch. Toilet paper was thin. Wall art was creeping me out. Employees complaining they needed a day off. Lots of college students. Next to a game stop.

The worst. Order meat and it comes out of a bucket. Liquid cheese. Bad Salsa choices. Go to Señor Salsa– a million times better.

The burrito was cold and the food was tasteless. The salsa bar tastes like tomatoes with ketchup. Thank goodness for the coke machine with 100 flavors. I have been here before, the quality has gone down hill.

One reviewer wrote«One step above Taco bell» — That is EXACTLY how I would describe it. We get Moes almost once a week for catering at an office. I feel like Im eating dog food. Quidoba down the street much much better.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. Rude staff and horrible food. I honestly rather have Taco Bell and wish Taco Bell would take over this location.

Definitely blows doors off Chipotle! Fresher ingredients, fresher and variety of salsas, and none of the annoying filthy tables which your sure to find in Chipotle either! Much more relaxed atmosphere for you to truly sit back and get your munch on. I can’t figure why anyone would prefer the other on any account. Wish they opened one up nearer to us, as we always try to seek them out when we are out and about. Can’t say we ever looked for the other place.

Service here is annoying and with a slight edge to it. The rice is often not cooked properly at this location. Moe’s at other locations is significantly better.

I stopped in the Fairfield location this morning about a ½ hour after opening. There was no one in the restaurant and I wanted to take my fiancé out to eat here since I eat at the north haven and Branford location and they had amazing food. We went to order and they were very rude and worried about what they needed to order for Friday. I ordered the home wrecker grilled chicken and my fiancé ordered chicken after being rushed. They put about 4 pieces of meat in each wrap. On top of that they rushed us to get our food. When we went to sit down and eat there was something crunchy in our sandwiches It was the RICE that wasn’t cooked enough that ruined both sandwiches. If you are looking to eat here I recommend going somewhere else. They are shady on the portions and don’t care about the customer. On top of it they need to learn how to make rice. Hope people that read this will go to another location rather than this one.

Wannabe Chipotle, that is my first and last impression. I have been to this Moe’s location as well as one in NJ. Neither differ at all. None of the food looks fresh. Both times I went there the rice was very dry and burnt like it was sitting in the serving dish for hours without being touched, the vegatables were mostly brownish and nothing looked very tasty. Every single thing literally looked like it was prefrozen and sitting out for a long time. The actual taste wasn’t horrible but it just simply was not worth going back a 3rd time. Chipotle is around the same price, bigger portions, the toppings all look fresh, and it’s much tastier.

Food was slightly below average when compared to similiar chains. Salsa’s in the Salsa bar are out of a bottle/can. Staff was nice but doesn’t know the menu all that well. The place was clean and well lit. Moe’s also offers beer at this location.

Run of the mill, one step up from Taco Bell, tex-mex fast food. The service was meh, the food was meh, my meal was meh. I ordered a steak quesadilla which was basically a cold tortilla, layered with ingredients, thrown on a hot stove to toast on one side, barely melting the cheese, then flipped over, cut into TWO pieces and thrown into a container. I also ordered some crunchy rice(the rice isn’t supposed to be crunchy), some bland black beans and some queso dip. Somehow, those few items cost me $ 20 and I walked out of Moe’s feeling a bit underwhelmed and robbed of my hard earned pennies for the small amount of food I got. It’s much easier and cheaper for me to create some amazing Mexican dish at home… I think next time I just might cook for myself and those with me.

Welcome to Moe’s. Heard ya. I like having my food made right in front of me. I never thought about it, but it does feel like the Subway of Mexican food. Some say the food is bland, I can’t really tell because I always use lots of their hot sauce. The place is clean, the menue is simple, staff is friendly and you can watch tv while you eat. Free refills on soda, bonus. I am always tempted to grab a few beers at the register with my lunch but that would not be cool since I always have to rush back to work.

Food is average tasting and average priced. They do have fresh jalapenos and a decent vegetarian selection. Good place for a working lunch. I’ll be back.

Ok heres the deal: better than typical fast food/chain food. Lots of flavor, spice(not heat) so it’s tasty. Basic concept is to «build your own» burittos, rice bowl, or quasadillas, tacos. With choices like rice, beans, onions, peppers, jalapeños, chicken, beef, pork, cheeses, sour cream, sauces, lettuce, tomatoes, roasted corn, pico de gallo & a salsa bar. I like that I can decide what & how much to achieve what I want. Don’t know if they«cook» the food here or if it’s shipped in(I kinda don’t want to know lol). They serve beer! I found that the final product was expensive too. $ 10 for a chicken rice bowl w veggie & guacamole?! Private parking.

5 Stars for Moe’s in general. 3 stars for this location. 4 overall. It’s the subway of Mexican fast food. Burritos, tacos, and quesadillas are made to order with fresh ingredients. Supplement your mex-fix with chips and the salsa bar(included with the burrito) or top it off with some queso cheese sauce or guacamole. Freshly made iced tea is also fantastic. Burrito, chips, salsa, queso, and iced tea all for around $ 10. I always leave full! As for folks saying it isn’t authentic, I think you’re Fairfield County attitude is getting the best of you. I had several friends in college from Mexico and this was their go-to restaurant for home style food. If they were feeling homesick, they went to Moe’s. It also pleases my tex-mex raised mouth. Since it’s made to order, I suppose you have to know what you like in a burrito. It’s not like you visit Mexico and get the same food everywhere you go. Ask for steak, beans, rice, and fresh jalapenos and tell me that doesn’t taste like it was prepared south of the border! On my recent visit to this location, service was much slower than any other location I have ever been to. By the time I was able to sit down, my hot, fresh burrito wasn’t as hot. Staff were friendly and I’m sure they’re still getting used to the vibe. I think they ought to take a field trip to a properly managed location to see how it’s really done. The order in front of me had disproportionate amounts of toppings added(tons of tomatoes, barely any lettuce, etc) — It didn’t look too good. That being said, I will certainly make the trip from Stamford at least one more time before being inclined to drop the rating to 3 stars. I wish they would open a Moe’s closer to me!

If you interested in fast food Tex Mex with an assembly line mentality in created uninspiring food at a resonable price, then this is the place for you. My wife and I ate there once, only once, and have never gone back. Its not that the food is terrible, its just not interesting. It reminds me how I truly miss Olé Mole leaving the Black Rock Turnpike area. Now that was good food. Do your self a favor and take a trip down to South port and try Olé Mole instead.

moe’s southwest grill has been around a few years, but this is a new location. it has been open a few weeks now, in the old location of rye ridge deli across from trader joes, near old navy. so inside it was super-clean, parking lot was pretty empty, and there was nobody else eating here.(maybe when FU is in session and there are a lot of kids around it will get crowded, but not on a summer night) if you like mexican food, it’s a decent choice. it isn’t super-authentic or crazy spicy, just decent food at a reasonable(maybe a little higher than reasonable) price. i like moe’s because they have tofu as a protein and i can get most anything they make with tofu instead of meat, which is rare. everything is pretty much fresh, and they have a few different salsas at their salsa bar you can pick from. when you walk in you are always greeted with that WELCOMETOMOE’S!
