This is a cool lil spot right on the side of the airbase. If it wasn’t for my fiances recommendation, I would have never even guessed thought this place would be around here! Super tucked location. Tasty food though! We ordered the catfish combo with a side of fries and mac salad. The employees were very friendly and welcoming.

Been to the Vallejo location before. Was craving BBQ so went on Unilocal seen they had a CJs out here in Fairfield. Pretty Decent BBQ. Can’t really mess up on BBQ too bad. One thing I need to add is, If you don’t like ALOT of sauce in your BBQ ask for sauce on the side or you will pay $ 20+ just for a plate of sauce. CJs is known for DRENCHING your food in BBQ sauce. Some people like it like that I prefer not to have it like that.

Yummy! Amazing BBQ. We tried the three way with chicken, ribs and hot links with medium sauce. The meat was cooked to perfection and very juicy. The sauce was sweet with just enough spice. As for sides, we had coleslaw, potato salad and baked beans. I really liked all of them and want to try the mac salad next time. The price was fair for all the food we got. We had a ton of leftovers. The people working there were friendly. Go check it out next time you want a really good BBQ dinner.

My husband I stop here on our way to Thunder Valley, had no ideal what we we’re getting ourselves into, we just wanted some BBQ! First off not a single car in the parking lot or a person in the restaurant, I was a little skeptical of the food. But, we gave it a try and the food was ! I learned dont judge a book by its cover… a long time ago. The only upside was, we asked for Brisket and got ribs! However, the ribs were good and the links were good too. We will go back again, the gentalmen and lady were very welcoming.

Been going here faithfully since I got to Travis AFB. Hands down the best BBQ you can find in town. It’s really worth the money if your looking for some great ribs and get a good amount too. The staff are super friendly that’ll it makes you want to come back time and time again. I’d give this place 6 stars if I could.

If you are looking for REAL bbq, this is the place. Have been looking for good bbq in the area forever. We are from Richmond and miss Ernie Good’s from back in the day. We recently found CJ’s, have been there twice and won’t go anywhere else in the area from now on.

Great BBQ if you’re in the North Bay cities like Fairfield or Vacaville, this is worth the visit. I ordered a 3 way combo(Pork Ribs, Beef and links) for $ 23.00. I know, looks expensive but this 3 way will feed 3 people trust. They hook it up over here. You won’t be disappointed. If you order for yourself, you will definitely have big leftovers. My new bbq spot!

Wow, GREAT Customer Service… After posting my new review below, I called CJ’s and told them how disappointed I was compared to the other times I’ve been there. The owner /manager called me back within a minute. And asked if they could bring out me another slab… She said it wouldn’t be the same… IMPRESSIVE Customer Service. Yes they did cherry pick me a GREAT batch… But the key is very meaty pieces is the flavor. What they brought was like the CJs that I’ve come to know. My first review for them after several visits was 4 stars. With the review below, I gave them 1 star and wasn’t likely to go back for a minute. This effort and immediate Customer Service takes my 4 star for CONSISTENT food, takes them to the NEXTLEVEL to a maximum of 5 stars. You do have. a voice, so speak up… GOODJOBCJ’s!!! See picture Matt R. REVIEWFROM30MINUTESPRIOR; Ive been to CJ’s many times(didn’t always check in), and it’s always been great. I always get a slab. This was my first disappointment. Hardly any«meaty» pieces. Seems like a lot of «ends» at the end of the day. I will never again get a slab that’s cut, so I’m sure to get the slab instead of the slab ends. It’s like picking up a dozen donuts, but when you open the box all you have are donut holes…

CJ’s came very highly recommended by a friend. I happened to be in the area today and thought I’d give it a shot. Every aspect of this place deserves 5 Stars. Service was quick and friendly. And the food was DELICIOUS! I had the 2 Way with chicken and brisket. Heaven help me I couldn’t eat it all but can’t wait for leftovers! I’ve been looking for a good bbq place for years and think I might have found my go to.

This is one of those hole in the wall places that once you tried it your practically addicted! My husband first brought me here even after I told him I wasn’t a huge fan of BBQ meat but he insisted I will love it. Thankfully I was in the mood for trying something new and boy am I glad I tried it! Meats are on point here. What also stands out is the sauce. Nothing beats having a 2 way dish(beef and ribs) and a side of fries and Mac. If your in the mood for some quality BBQ and not some chain restaurant flavor then head to CJ’s

Take a chance on this place for sure. Ordered the 3 way: hot link. Pork ribs and chicken. Plus 3 sides and 2 drinks for $ 27. Easily feeds 2 to 3 people. Quality of BBQ was fantastic. Some of the best pork ribs I’ve had in a while. Sides are made in site and are just as good. Time was 100 pm on a Thursday and was not very busy. Staff are friendly and helpful. I’m going back is the best review you can give.

My boyfriend and I always get a full rack of the St. Louise style ribs with the mac salad and beans. Let me tell you, they are tender, moiste and juicy smackin great! not good but Great. I havent tried anything besides the ribs because they are soo good. Probably going to go gwt a slab tonight. Great customer service and very friendly down to earth people making wonderful food. We usually get medium sauce with a side of hot. Its perfect. Im glad we have them because Dickies is Shit! Shitty service and they always run out an hour before closing. The last customers should get the same options the first, thata where the big chain that makes money with skimpy portions falls short. Please dont ever leave cjs. We need good barbecue in Fairfield.

I have to say that I miss the days of beef ribs being served in restaurants and pork ribs never really do it for me… until now… They’re not only extremely friendly but knowledgeable… I ordered the pork ribs spicy with two sides… the spicy sauce was wonderful… it still had a ton of flavor and added heat… the perfect amount of heat… the sides I ordered were the potato salad and BBQ beans… I’m not a fan of the salad as mine is still my favorite but the beans were very tasty… I will definitely be back…

Quality BBQ is becoming a lost art, with so many mediocre establishments it’s very easy to recognize and appreciate when you run across a place that gets it RIGHT! Cjs, is a little hole in the wall that if you blinked while driving down the street you would miss it. When I eat BBQ, I want to taste SMOKE, and it should be able to stand on its own with a great seasoning that enhances the favor of the meat, not masks it overpoweringly or in most cases isn’t present at all! Cjs, goes a step further with a fantastic sauce to accompany a great piece of meat. Portions where great and the price was reasonable for the quality and size. My son and I brought a full togo bag home after we at. CJs has got a patron for life!

Absolutely the best BBQ in the north bay area! For a long time I have been searching for a quality BBQ place and have finally found it. If I had to sum up my whole experience into two words: MEATCANDY! I haven’t had BBQ this good since I was in Texas. This little hole in the wall place is definitely worth a detour. Like most really awesome food places the décor and dinning area isn’t anything fancy. But the meat sure is. Also the BBQ sauce is spot on with the flavors. As it was my first time I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go with the hot or medium sauce at which point I was quickly offered a sample. Nice touch. I could eat their ribs every day and not get tired of them! Thank you CJ’s for being the best! I will be back a lot!

Growing up I’ve always driven by this place since there’s a world class view of it from Travis Air Force Base’s main gate. I always wondered, even pondered if CJ’s was as good as my dad’s home made BBQ. The parking lot is small. The inside looks like any classical family owned BBQ joint. Nothing too fancy all throughout the décor and hardly any air movement inside(it can get hella hot in there during the summer). Prices are fair. Around the same ball park of any other BBQ place. If you’re not too sure about what kind of BBQ to order, just ask for it on the side. Drinks are single can or bottles. There are about twelve tables grouped up in two’s and a small old school TV that most likely has the news playing. I ordered the BBQ ribs and pork, two sides of different BBQ sauces, slaw, and french fries. Bread comes with the BBQ plates which was fine to me but I try to stay away from bread in general. The hot and regular BBQ was delicious. Small family owned, under estimated establishment.

Wow what a hidden jem in Fairfield. I was looking for a BBQ after hitting up the heretic brewing company’s on Saturday. I saw this place on Unilocal not to far so we have it a shot. The food here was excellent. I had a 3 way combo with double ribs and chicken. It came with 3 sides; fries, potato salad, baked beans. The order also came with 4 slices of bread. I had the medium BBQ sauce on my ribs and chicken. It wasn’t to sweet and not to spicy. Next time I go I’ll get the spicy. Also I would call ahead to make sure the beef brisket is ready. Other things on the menu I saw was catfish and other fish related meats. It’s good they have def options. If you are hankering for some good old fashion BBQ joint this place is it.
