I passed by here every day to drive my daughter to school looks like little hole in the wall but let me tell you I’ve eaten at many high end restaurants and it’s right up there his oatmeal cookies are off the charts good. For breakfast the other day I wanted eggs and asked him for suggestions he came up with pastrami it was great. Then for lunch came back and he made me a roast beef sandwich which he had to make the roast beef himself because it tasted like filet mignon. So if you have a chance stop by you won’t be disappointed.

The food is awesome. There’s always a large variety of sandwiches and the staff is always friendly when they tell you what they have for that day. I saw one guy complaining about price in these reviews and that kind of irked me. Yes this place can be considered expensive by sandwich standards, but the portions are huge. For someone who is often ridiculed for being«cheap»(I’m frugal — shoot me) by his family, friends, and girlfriend, I can say that I’ve never felt ripped off or unsatisfied eating here. In the end, you get what you pay for and what you get here is QUALITY(great food) and QUANTITY(large portions). If you’re looking for a light snack, this isn’t the place for you! I work right near here so I eat here about once or twice a week. I usually end up just eating half my sandwich for lunch and half on the commute home when I’m stuck in traffic because I-80 sucks. For a sandwich, chips and a drink, you’ll be paying about $ 10 — maybe a little more; maybe a little less. I like to try all the sandwiches but one of my favorites is the chicken cutlet with ham, cheese, and honey mustard.

A solid sandwich deli that could definitely improve on certain aspects. Location is perfect, easily accessible, tons of parking. The décor inside is nothing special, a narrow walkway, a large open kitchen, tons of drinks lining the wall, a TV and radio, and sandwiches for display. Prices are not cheap, where each sandwich is well above $ 7, some reaching up to $ 10. There is outside parking next to a flower shop. When we came, there were a few people ordering. There was Bobby, to whom the shop in named for, who managed the restaurant by himself. The sandwiches took a little while since he was making all the sandwiches together. Everything seemed fresh! The selection is huge, with 60+ sandwiches, all of which are interesting. They were all packaged up in plastic containers, all served with potato chips. I ordered a chicken panini with parmigiana cheese and sundried tomato spread. The sandwich was perfect, not greasy at all, not dry, very delicious. The tomatoes were perfect. We had a turkey panini as well, that was quite good. Their specials are great, creative, taking an Italian approach to its ingredients. Make sure to stop by in the area!

I ordered a Turkey and Cheese sub for 7 dollars and change(according to the menu on display). After the cashier ran my Visa card, he hands me a receipt for $ 9.58. When I asked him what happened, he said there is a 50 cent charge for credit cards, and also said the price of the sandwich was $ 8.45! So the listed price(on their menu) was incorrect, and there is no sign whatsoever stating the extra fee for credit cards. By the way, I didn’t even order cheese on the sub. Almost 10 dollars for a plain old turkey sub??? AVOID! Also, the sandwich guy handles food with his bare hands(serious).

Driving From NYC To Chicago and stopped by a local Deli to have a Sandwich and take a break from driving. I got lucky enough to stumble across Caboose On The Corner. I had the pleasure of meeting the Owner Jerry as well. Super nice guy and showed great hospitality. I had the Beef Sandwich which was pre made already in the cooler on display. I thought it was going to be cold right out of the fridge. Jerry surprised me and put it on the grill and pressed it down which came out Delicious… nice and toasted Just Right!!. I love stopping in local owned businesses because they take pride in what they do! Keep up the good work Jerry It was a pleasure meeting you my friend!

Prices are on the steep side BUT totally worth it, they make their food using quality ingredients and care. The guys in there are always friendly and they always have sandwiches that are a little different then the standard sandwich shop. Good place… They need better coffee…

So the peeps around the offices have been buzzing about this place since it opened a few weeks ago, but I hadn’t had a chance to try it until today. I have to admit, for a very long time, I have been saying that Fairfield, New Jersey needs a really good lunch spot — well Fairfield, you now have one. The item I have heard the most about is Caboose on the Corner’s «Philly Style» Rib-eye Cheesesteak, well that wasn’t in the cards for me today since I was distracted by the roasted pork sandwich on the daily specials menu. Everything in the place was made fresh to order, and was fantastic! And the people were exceptionally nice as well(even though the guy making the sandwiches looked a lot like Matt Millen — lol). Bottom line: King’s Supermarket will no longer be getting my lunchtime business; Caboose on the Corner will be the spot from here on out. If you live or work in the Fairfield, New Jersey area, there is no better place for lunch around(I will be back to rate the cheesesteak later this week — lol).
