The service and food was not good at all. My friend and I had to wait 5 – 10 minutes for someone to show up at the cash register to take our order. I got a burger and fries, the burger seemed like a frozen burger with no taste and it was over cooked and very dry. The fries were okay. Probably won’t go there again, the burger was not worth the money.

I had a rough test, and finally had a beer here, and I was amazed at how cheap the beers were. I was assuming they’d be expensive due to the monopoly, but I was way off!

So, one of the benefits of going back to school is that you get to act like a student again. But this time around, being well over 21, there’s no worries about being able to buy alcohol. At GMU, this becomes the after class/dinner spot for a lot of students. There is a solid handful of beers on top available, in addition to bottles, and usually some sort of hooch that they mix and put on a station in the back. Food is ok, when it comes out fast enough for you to stay hungry, and can hit the spot. But I can say this — if you’re used to eating well, this isn’t the spot as the food is definitely bar food that caters to student«have no money» tastes and not the working public. But if you’re looking for a pint to enjoy while discussing comparative politics or why those virgin-looking kids are outside and furiously playing Magic, this is your spot.

Pretty good for a university dining hall, plus it’s the only place that serves booze on campus. If you’re on campus and want a sports bar venue this is the place, but it pales next to off-campus specimens.

Definitely a great place to get food on campus. I’d probably say the best one campus, except for the price. They do accept Mason Money and Freedom meal plans(not for alcohol though, darn). Definitely a good place to grab some food and watch a game.
