In town and needing to eat something fast, we were pointed to the Mosaic District. We looked around and settled on Taylor. Absolute great choice. There were a variety of sandwiches had between the eight of us and there were zero complaints. Someone even regarded their sandwich as the best one they’ve had in a few years. It was delicious, quick, the facility was clean and the décor is a conversation piece. Give it a try.

Food is good but the service is appalling bad. Never ever ever try to order delivery. If you ever get your food, it will not be what you ordered. This is not based on one or two, but multiple experiences trying to give them second and third chances. Their app is essentially non-functioning but if you call them to order they will chastise you for not using the completely broken app. To be clear, I don’t mean broken as in it is hard to use(it is) but broken as in you are unable to use it to order food — something you will learn only after having selected your food and having attempted to checkout. All-in-all a crying shame given that the food is decent.

Pretty good, give it a try! Recommended. We visited this place for lunch at the recommendation of one of our kids. They claim this place is better than the Subway chain providing a better quality and quantity of meat in their submarine sandwiches. This claims appears to be true to some degree. We ordered four subs for four people with drinks. The total bill? $ 42. That’s a little more than $ 10 per person and comparable to what you’d pay at a Subway. Our subs were stacked with meat perhaps exceeding the serving portions of Subway. The rolls were thicker and harder than those served at Subway harder to bite into. I’d give Subway the edge here on the sub bread. Also, Taylor Gourmets large sub is 11″ not 12′. Overall, I like this place enough to say I’ll try it again. Visited July 2015

I’m a regular customer here. Me and my wife wanted some good sandwiches and drove all the way down to Fairfax. We told the cashier for three sandwiches 1. 9th st 2. Federal and last cheese steak in all large size. We also asked for pepper in a container. But what we got was all regular size sandwiches with no pepper and cashier completely forgot. Now when you read this I know it’s not a big deal and sandwiches were good but it makes me wonder why I drove down here for this kind of service. She didn’t apologize or was trying to fix it. She said but we charged for regular though. This was Friday 730 order.

Disappointing at best. Sandwiches don’t need to be this complicated, over salty and expensive. Won’t be coming back

This sub spot is legit. Not just your ordinary sub choices. I got the south sub which has breaded chicken cutlet, sweet basil spread, Roma tomatoes and lemon basil goat cheese. Goat cheese on a sub is killer and not many other sub shops offer that. I try to find unique subs so I don’t get tired of the same thing. This shop handles that problem well. plenty of options, fresh bread and the soda selection is nice too. Whenever I want a sub in the area this the location. Peace peace Oh and the ice is the best ice for any drink. Boom 33

I’m conflicted about the review. I had a uniquely tasty sandwich here. There was some tangy and meaty. But, it was soggy to the max. I ate it almost immediately when I received it, but it was totally drenched. I hope the greatness of this eatery isn’t because of how soggy the bread is. Cookies are very sweet but tasty as well. I would surely consider coming back again if in the area.

This place is hit or miss. When they first opened it was pretty good; fast service and good food. Now they are no longer up to par. Took us 20 minutes to get a Philly cheese stake sandwich and a grilled cheese sandwich. Grilled cheese was super soggy and oily. The $ 10 Philly sandwich was very soggy. Btw they were not that busy.

Good sandwiches, but not great for the price paid. It was al so quite unappetizing to witness a worker eating in plain view in the kitchen. Very unprofessional.

I went here on a whim with a friend after s trip to Home Depot and although this name was promising, it was only average, yet pricey. The employees were all pleasant and going about their jobs diligently. The floor plan of this restaurant is cramped and induced lots of undesirable interactions forcing people to constantly move out of the way for a person to get to the counter to pick up an order, fill a drink, grab a napkin, or even navigate to the shared tables. I paid $ 13.76 for a large sandwich and a cookie — this is a bit pricey for a lunch sub. This almost cost them another star! The chocolate chip cookie was acceptable, but I don’t think I’d order it again. I had a sub on the Seeded Italian Roll — the roll was not gourmet, and fortunately the meat and cheese were tasty enough to earn this place 3 stars. If I’m in the area I may go back again and try the meatball sub, but I won’t be going out of my way to get there any time soon.

A bit pricey for my liking for sandwiches that teeter between good and OK, but nothing exceedingly special. I love that they have a huge selection and how they structure their menu by the type of protein in your sandwich. They also offer different salads and dessert. You can customize your sandwich(size, grilled/breaded chicken, no sauce, type of bread, etc.) but other than that, nothing was out of the ordinary. I may be the wrong person to ask given that I’m not a big sandwich person, but I will give it that it’s a nice convenient place to eat for a quick lunch and light meal. They have combo options(chips + drink) to upgrade your meal and they also serve Puck’s soda. Worth a try when you’re in Mosaic, but there are definitely plenty of other options around.

Stopped by to pick up a quick lunch for my parents. We came around 12:30pm and it was crowded like no other which I should have known because it’s prime lunch time. We didn’t really have trouble finding parking in the garage despite the crowds. We ordered the Race sandwich(turkey, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, pesto) and the seasonal risotto balls to split as a light lunch. Their subs are a good size so we were content splitting the sandwich. It was super fresh and light and the mozzarella and pesto combo was delicious. The risotto balls were like gooey explosions in your mouth. Parents really enjoyed them. I don’t know if I would order them again because it was super cheesy but still yummy!

Excellent! Been meaning to try this place out in DC but I’m glad they opened a location closer to home. The cashiers are friendly and quick. These sandwiches are delicious. We tried the Passyunk Avenue and Callowhill Street. The Passyunk Avenue Sandwich had loads of hot pastrami, sweet peppers, and sweet provolone. They have three types of bread: white, wheat, or a gluten-free wrap. Sandwiches also come in Regular or Large. Quality ingredients are used in these sandwiches and their bread is well made. Slightly toasty on the outside but soft within. It’s light yet hold everything together. The meatballs in the Callowhill Street Sandwich is well made. They are generous with the servings. Can’t wait to come back and try their Risotto Balls.

I feel like NOVA is sorely lacking good and unique sandwich shops but Taylor tries to pick up some of that slack. You can tell their ingredients are fresh and the staff is friendly. They also deliver, so that is a total perk if you are in or around Mosaic. I was very impressed with the quality of the meat and the ratio of meat to veg on each sandwich. I also have to rave a little about the potato salad. OMG it’s phenomenal! Lastly, like everyone else(or so it seems) I am in love with the black cherry soda. I’d be in big trouble if I lived closer, bc I am pretty sure I could drink that stuff every day. Pair all that with a super cute dinning area and Taylor Gourmet is a lovely addition to this area.

MUSTTRYTHISPLACE. Everything is fresh, customer service is great they were patient with me while I ordered the sandwiches And couldn’t figure out the sizes or bread type. This was my second time I have tried for sandwiches all are good. The Italian Pastrami Grilled chicken with bacon And the roast beef I want to possibly come back this weekend it is so good and fresh both times. And fast is a plus.

Gotta say I have a serious addiction the Ben Franklin, a delicious chicken Parmesan sub(sorry, HOAGIE!) that makes life worth living. It’s the only thing I’ve ever gotten from Taylor, no matter how much gym time needs to follow to work that off. But for the heck of it I tried the new Cedar(Breaded Chicken Cutlet or Grilled Chicken Breast, Smoky Bacon, Aged Parmesan, Cherry Peppers, Julius Caesar’s Dressing, Chopped Romaine) and was in LOVE. Sadly, it sounds like this is only seasonal, which means I’ll be back to Ben in the spring, but it was delicious. Great vibe, decent size dining room(vs the tiny Arlington location) and delicious food. The risotto balls are great too!
