Pediatric Lung Center

I have appreciated the expertise of Dr. Fields (when he was here) and Dr. Kapoor. However, getting through the morass that is the office staff is an exercise in patience and eventual frustration. They are not responsive when called, do not have a voicemail system when out of the office, and you cannot leave messages with their answering service. I have been ignored, put on hold, and otherwise forgotten one too many times.
All I want is to get some paperwork sent to my son’s school, and I have been stonewalled for almost a week. If you have other options, take them.

Our son went to the hospital and couldn’t seem to break out. I asked for a pulmonologist and in walked Dr. Kapoor. He was spot on with what was going on with my son, made smart decisions, leveled with me in a way I could understand, took every minute I needed, and got a plan both acute and chronic for our son. Man! What a breath of fresh air, so to speak. I wish I had asked to see him earlier because he is the expert for sure. All is well now and we continue to have frequent check ups with Dr. Kapoor. If you need help, don’t walk, RUN to him.

We can’t say enough about the Pediatric Lung Center. We lived in VA for 2 years and my son saw Dr. Sunhil Kapoor who he loved! The first time we met him, he helped us find a diabetic Dr for my son as everyone I called said they were booked for a year; yet he got us into one that I had called in particular and we were so grateful! It’s hard moving to a new place and trying to find Drs, especially as it turns out in the east. He was kind, had a great sense of humor, was professional and so personable with my son. Also, as he pointed out, my sons lung numbers were all better than when we came, so that was awesome. We mostly went to the Leesburg office as it was quieter, easier to park, easier to do labs and drop off specimens; we did this even though the Fairfax office was closer. We just preferred the environment better. The staff at both offices were great though and we will definitely miss not being able to go. Thanks so much Dr. Kapoor!

Have you seen the movie «As Good As It Gets», when the Helen Hunt character finally finds a doctor who can help her asthmatic son, and that doctor is so calm and sensible and makes it look so easy? That doctor could be Dr. James Clayton at the Pediatric Lung Center. We left our first appointment wishing we had found him years earlier. He’s our go-​to for sick appointments, well appointments, or just advice — even on unrelated issues. We’ve used both the Leesburg and the Fairfax offices, and have been seen the same day on a sick call. The staff have always been kind and helpful. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my daughter’s care.

Both my children are seen by Dr Chester at their Leesburg office. Office staff is warm and sincere. They are prompt with their appointment times and Dr Chester is the best. We went through a difficult time with one of our childrenand even though he wasn’t treating her for the major concern he held our hands through the whole thing. I visited him many times and he would just listen to my concerns and was truly vested in our child’s health and healing. A+++Dr Chester!

As cute as it was to hear our infant breathing like Darth Vader, our pediatrician referred us to the Pediatric Lung Center to figure out what was wrong with our little Anakin Skywalker.
Dr. Kapoor is the best! He was able to figure out what was wrong with our son after he was misdiagnosed with asthma by his pediatrician. Dr. Kapoor treated him accordingly and followed up with us regularly to make sure we had our son on a proper treatment plan.
The office in Fairfax is busy so I prefer to see Dr. Kapoor in their Leesburg location. They are the best pediatric pulmonologists in the area as far as I’m concerned, so be patient when trying to get an appointment as it can be quite difficult.
