Love their pizzas. Especially their white pizza. Hands down the best in town. And they’re big slices too!

I made the mistake of ordering the lasagna. It was basically a pile of melted cheese with 2 noodles hidden inside and a few specks of ground beef. I couldn’t eat it. Our server wasn’t surprised, and was friendly when I explained I’d like something else. I got a pizza for 1 to go. When I got the bill, i expected some sort of compensation, at least only charge me for the pizza. But the server explained management would not charge me for the $ 10.95 instead of the $ 13.95, because the salad and bread were already served! it was maybe a cup of lettuce with carrot, radish, and onion shavings! The bread was stale, I took one bite. I paid it, but I hope that $ 3 was worth this review. I felt bad for the server, no wonder it was so empty.

The crew at Luciano always takes care of us. We had some food allergies and they stepped up to make sure our chicken picatta was legit. Pizza. Well, I’m not a big pizza guy but found it to be my model of great thin crust. Pepperoni mushroom is blowin it up. A very needed Italian fix while at the dreaded ant hill shopping experience. The Frank Sinatra is a nice touch for music. They also have pizza available at the counter.

Yuk!!! I think the guy taking our order was drunk. Not exaggerating… Stay away from this place, their food really grossed me out. There are many other eateries in the mall but avoid this one at all costs!

I really can’t understand all the poor reviews I’m seeing. This place is fantastic. The food is as good as it gets for affordable Italian cuisine. The Sicilian pizza is out of this world. My favorite thing on the menu hands down, and I have never been disappointed. I have friends who swear by the Chicken Parmesan, and others who get the spaghetti and Alfredo dishes. I’ve tried it all. And the specials too. I have never been disappointed. The desserts are awesome too! Gelato in particular is fantastic. Plus they carry a wide variety of flavors, so you won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere here is also great, its casual dining, very cozy, and with a great bar area that’s never too crowded. It’s not quite a sports bar, though there are 2 TVs. Usually there’s a game on but its not loud. So when we’re eating in the adjacent dining area it never bothers us. There is easy access from the garage(use the entrance by Todai…) Oh yeah, and the bathroom… its always really clean. Spotless. This is a big deal to us since we have small children. As for the staff — again I can’t figure out why all the negative comments. We have always been greeted with friendly, fast and helpful service. This is a favorite stop when we are in the area. We come here pretty often and we’ve never waited long for our food, we have never had a rude server and the food is always delicious. I would strongly recommend stopping in. And do yourself a favor — try the Sicilian pizza. The appetizers are all great too. And don’t forget the Gelato. Delicious.

The service is fast, our pizza came quickly and it was good for the cheap quality we expected. But very greasy. It’s a lower class Italian American place. We were in the mall and wanted a quick bite.

Not sure why this place has low ratings! I come here quite often for a quick bite. My favorites are the sautéed mushrooms and the rosemary grilled chicken panini. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a simple Italian lunch/dinner.

Quick service, good food. Read the reviews and said it cannot be that poor. The 3 of us had a quiet dinner, excellent service, the waitress kept checking to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Food came out in order, hot and tasty.

I don’t understand why this place has below average reviews. It should at least be average! We came here because Brio was fully booked and we were craving Italian. We were seated very quickly and the service was great. Our server was fast and very attentive. It wasn’t very busy inside but worked well for our family with a teething baby. Prices were fair and portions were large. The food itself was good but not great. I had the chicken Parmesan and was satisfied with my meal. There were plenty of options on the menu and overall everyone was happy with their meals. Honestly, if you’re feeling like a classic Italian meal… you can’t go wrong here.

WARNING!!! BADSERVICE!!! DON’T MAKETHESAMEMISTAKE!!! Servers don’t know menu well, FOODTOOKOVER45MINUTESTOCOMEOUT! INANEMPTYRESTAURANT. SERVERISRUDE. HERNAMEISMICHELLE! I really hate to do this to businesses and leave them 1 star but I have to. Originally, my girlfriend and I were going to go to Todai for some sushi and seafood but we missed their lunch hour so they were closed until dinner. Dinner was open again at 530. It was at the time 4:15… So we looked elsewhere. Good idea until we went over to the Italian restaurant right next to it. It was now 4:20 because we looked at the menu outside and decided to come in. It was dead empty and only had another couple there. Anyway, as a previous review said the waitress told us to just sit anywhere. Why have a sign that says«please wait to be seated» if this is what you do as soon as we walk in? So we sit down and this girl walks over, drops our menus, and leaves. Not a drink order taken or who will be our server. I’ve gotten better service at a Dennys for Petes sake! I give them the BOTD and wait. A couple good long minutes later in an empty restaurant mind you, the server comes over to greet us and takes our drinks. She offers coke products or water and I order a coke. It came out quickly but flat as hell! It tasted like it had been open for days or something. I tell her this and she brings back a bottle rudely and says here. Try this. A Luke warm bottle of soda and a cup of ice. No straw. No big deal. So we order our food and she looks like she placed the order from what we saw. We’re texting friends while we wait. Server walks out the restaurant to smoke! Like seriously, don’t smoke and then come touch our foods. Disgusting. Anyway, after when she got back 20 minutes later! Said she was only gone for 10 minutes to smoke! After waiting around for our food we wave over to ask where our food is. She says, you’ve only been here for a few minutes. This BITCH… smh I looked at my watch after 40 minutes and said if this food doesn’t come out in 5 to 10 minutes I’m out. We Can hear her talking to the cooks asking why they didn’t make the food. Now I’m mad. Because after all this time we still haven’t eaten and Todai just opened again for dinner. Committed to seeing this dining experience through I wait for my Ricotta sampler. I get it right when the 10 minute mark hits. The server comes out and says 3 minutes as I was going to tell my girlfriend let’s go. We get the food finally and we can feast. 45 minutes to get your food after the server has taken her«20 minute» smoke break. We got our food around 530 something. Sad thing is Todai opened when we got our food. I would’ve just waited outside Todai.

This place has really good, really expensive limoncello cake. Apparently business hasn’t been too good, because the $ 7 slice I bought to go ended up having mold on it. Unacceptable.

Gelato Review only. The Gelato tastes very good. Its not cheap and the portion size is very small. Daughter had coffee. I had strawberry and vanilla. The guy gave me a sample of the tiramisu and it was good as well. I’m sure people complain about the price and portion size but if they are complaining about the taste I would take it with a grain of salt. I’m not sure I would eat here after reading the other reviews but if you did as I did and ate elsewhere the gelato hit the spot. Make sure you get 2 scoops. Only about .50 more and trust me one scoop is insultingly small. So loses a star for portion and price and another for slightly slow service.

I come here for the pizza. The Sicilian here is probably one of the best I’ve had in flavor. My biggest gripe is that the sauce to pie ratio is unfortunately extremely unbalanced. The flavor is excellent, the cheese is tasty and just the right amount. The bottom crust is buttery and crisp, but not greasy. The dough perfect, but the amount of sauce is way too little. Almost like eating bread with cheese on it. Luciano, I implore you to please fix this and you could have the perfect Sicilian on your hands!!!

This is for the Gelato. They are pretty stingy with the portion, two baby scoops, and at 4.95. The Gelato isn’t even Gelato. It tasted like regular old ice-cream. I tried the strawberry, and birthday cake. The strawberry tasted like regular old strawberry ice cream, and the birthday cake was just vanilla ice-cream with sprinkles. Service was fast, that’s about it. Cheapskate joint, go elsewhere for Gelato.

Okay, we arrive at Fair Oaks Mall. The place we were going to eat had a 40 – 50 minute wait. We decided to choose a different place to eat tonight. BADDECISION!!! Live and Learn… Right? I looked at the menu that was posted outside this place and noticed that they have artichoke Bruschetta, sounded great. We walk in and a lady who is sitting at the bar waves us in and says«Just sit anywhere.» I do not even think she worked there. We sat down at a table and the waitress came over and gave us menus. We ordered the bruschetta and the waitress said she had to check if they had any. She came back and told us they do not have any. She did recommend the artichoke pizza though. We ordered our drinks. She brought the drinks and mine was fine. My mom’s drink(tea) was gross. It was very bitter and tasted very old. She had them take it back and bring water. We ordered and our food came out. It looked good but did not taste as good as it looked. The calimari has a lot of breading and was very crunchy. The stuffed shells had very watery filling and were not that good. The waitress was friendly but very, very slow and it took a long time to get her attention to come back to the table during the meal. We both agreed that we would NEVER be back.

Terrible!!! Don’t waste your time and give your stomach a break… Service very slow and not real responsive. First sent back ice tea, tasted bitter… old Calamari over crunchy and greasy. Bean soup, was the only thing ok, once I added salt and grated cheese. Antipasto nothing much special… a lot of lettuce. Stomach hurts and never going back again

Pizza place in Fair Oaks Mall. Family run joint with decent prices and a friendly atmosphere. Pizza is decent: step above paisanos or papa johns, but below a brick oven or NY style place. They do offer side salads and have beer on tap, so again this beats some other places. 2 people can share the personal luciano special and be satisfied. One negative: the sausage is weird. Not sure how else to describe it. Grey looking and dry. not greasy, not seedy, just grey and weird. I feel the same way about this place as Ken. K does.

Decided to try out this newly opened pizza place in fair oaks mall with above average price pizzas. Ended up being a nightmare. I tried to order a large pizza for take out while I was at macys and they would not let me do so without giving a credit card number first. Then when we got to toppings they wanted an extra $ 7 for chicken toppings. For pepperoni cheese and chicken on a large pie it was $ 33. 30 – 40 minutes later I ended up just getting their large cheese pizza to try. Was nothing special and they were very stingy with sauce/cheese. Below average quality food and horrible service. The Asian people running this place always seem so angry. DONOTCOMEHERE unless you are starving.

Great place to hangout while the spouse is shopping. Bar area with TV. Seats are good. They have the basic liqueurs and a beer on tap. The food is well okay. Waitress very good. At this mall you have either high end $$$$ or low end $. This is the only middle ground restaurant. So here I sit. Great drink. Good TV. Okay eats. I think this would be a great place serving a American food. Extra star for the Generous pours.

We’ve stopped into Luciano’s a few times while shopping in Fair Oaks mall — the most recent visit being yesterday. There is an area at the front which seems to be geared more to a fast slice and then the restaurant in the back where you can sit awhile and relax from the hectic pace of the mall. It’s out of the way and quiet. We always sit at the bar — more comfortable, easier to chat and usually better service. I can’t speak to their pastas as we have never ordered anything but their pizza which is what they seem to specialize in anyway judging by what others in the restaurant were ordering. The pizza was good — nice, perfectly chewy crust which held up to the toppings we selected; pepperoni, prosciutto with onions and garlic. The toppings were fresh and although my husband was nervous about onions and garlic(he is not a fan of garlic), the garlic was not overpowering at all. He absolutely loved the sauce and I have to agree it was pretty flavorful with just the right amount of herbs and spices. The sauce is where they excel. Even with pepperoni and prosciutto, the pie was not overly greasy. Service was quite good. We were the only ones sitting at the bar, but there were several tables filled throughout the restaurant and just the one server taking care of it all. He was just attentive enough, friendly, drinks kept full, checked to ensure our pizza was tasty and generous pours of house chianti. I will return when I have an occasion to stop by Fair Oaks Mall. I do wish Unilocal had ½ star ratings as I really feel this was better than just A-OK, just not quite up to 4 stars.
