Unfortunately, I agree with Alex C about Lady of America in Greenbriar. I have been a member since the club opened and it’s depressing to watch it go steadily downhill. It is dingy and dirty, the machines are sometimes broken and it was hot in the summer and now freezing in the winter. It’s obvious the franchise owner does not care about the place. I wish she would sell the franchise to someone who does. I tried to communicate this to the corporate headquarters but there is no place to provide feedback on their corporate website. I need to find another gym but Greenbriar is a perfect location for me.

I am posting this for my wife who has been a member of this Lady of America for about 9 years. What started off as a good place for women to exercise has turned into something that is on its last legs. With 10 months remaining on their Greenbriar Towne Centre lease, it is obvious that this health club is going down. Let’s be fair, objective and balanced in this review. What is good about this Lady of America? Location — ideally located in Greenbriar Town Centre. Reasonable hours of operation. Reasonably priced. Decent treadmill /elliptical machines. Nice clientele. Now the bad. The place is dirty. Sometimes it smells. The carpet is from the original build-out a decade ago. The turnover of instructors is significant. The classes are getting more and more limited in their offering. In the summer they are stingy with the air conditioning and in the winter they are frugal with the heat. Since it is obvious that they are treading water until the end of the lease, the atmosphere, moral, and general spirit is low. Greenbriar wants and needs a health club like this and the market would sustain this business, but there has to be a commitment to a quality environment, professional instruction, greater availability of classes, and a concern for customer satisfaction. Most of which is not happening at this Lady of America.
