I brought a shirt in to remove a food grease stain. When I picked up shirt and pointed out the same grease stain was still there, they said that it could only be removed with dry cleaning. I took it home and sprayed Shout on it and the grease stain came off. I’ll never go back.

I had a very unfortunate experience at Jon-Son Cleaners. Despite the poor reviews, I gave this place a shot and completely regret it. The owner and his wife are very unprofessional and I think they really need to learn the basics of customer service, especially for the high prices. I honestly believe they charge whatever they feel like because based on the reviews, I thought the quality would be high for my expensive work pants. The stitching was not done carefully and I don’t think it will last. I will not be back and urge others to find a place that merits the high price tag and can conduct themselves as decent business owners.

I wish Unilocal didn’t make it mandatory for me to give one star to this horrible place. Zero stars is more likely. I am very supportive of small businesses which is why I chose this over the bigger guys. However, I received the worst service I’ve ever experienced and very unprofessional behavior from both of the shop owners. I highly recommend you to avoid this place at all costs. Don’t do business with people who don’t know how to do business! I only went here because I was in town from NYC and needed a few things done, but now I know you get what you pay for. There are MANY better places around the area. My shoes are already falling apart after a week. It’s not worth the headache for an overpriced, mediocre job.

I love Jon-Son Cleaners. I left San Diego almost 3 years ago, and along with my transplant to the east coast, I left behind my favorite tailor at All-Brite Cleaners(see review if you’re in San Diego and need a freaking amazing alterations person). ****I don’t dry-clean my stuff for the most part, I am reviewing this place solely on their expertise with alterations**** I’d visited Tyson’s Tailor at Tyson’s Corner mall(seriously, I bought a $ 20 maxi skirt from Express, which was too long for me so I took it straight to them and asked how much it would cost to get hemmed about 3 inches. Get ready — they wanted to charge me $ 50 to hem a jersey knit skirt!!! seriously? You want to turn my $ 20 jersey knit maxi skirt into a $ 70 skirt?! You’ve got to be kidding!!! That was the ENDOFTYSON’S TAILOR) and another place that advertised some dry cleaning discount but was always disappointed and felt ripped off. I figured«what the hell, I’ll try the cleaners right near our condo!» I’m so glad I did. I take everything here now. I started with«original hemming» my(and my husband’s) designer jeans then progressed to my yoga pants, then onto Jeff’s work pants and any of my variety of pants(I’m 5’3″ so almost all my pants/jeans/slacks have to be hemmed), which then turned into entrusting them with altering Jeff’s wedding-day suit jacket and pants, and most recently, my bridesmaid dress for my friend’s wedding. They always do a spectacular job. Jae, the co-owner, is very sweet and always wears a smile. She and her husband own the cleaners, and are very reliable. Turnaround for alterations seems about 2 – 3 days(not counting sunday) and their system is computerized with phone number look-up. Their prices are really competitive for this area. I had a really nice bridesmaids dress hemmed(with a lining) and taken in around the waist and butt a couple inches, and the total was only $ 30. I imagine at the aforementioned cleaners, it would’ve cost somewhere around $ 80 to alter it. I think alterations of my husband’s wedding suit only cost about $ 40 and that was to take in the suit jacket, the waist, and hem the pants. I’ll be going to Jon-Son for as long as we live in the NoVa area and I’ll keep spreading the word as much as I can!!! Love love love Jon-Son.

$ 5.35 per pants $ 5.45 each — women’s blouse $ 1.60 each — men’s shirt They do a pretty good job at pressing shirts; however, the price of pants and women’s shirts are kind of ridiculous. I think I will have to start buying machine washable slacks…

Reliable, fast/friendly service for dry-cleaning. Leaves much to be desired for tailoring service.

This is where I take my expensive clothes. The cheap stuff goes to the discount cleaners. I’ve been getting my pants hemmed here for years and the owner lady does a great job.
