Just like another reviewer, I was enticed by the huge grand opening discounts Evian Spa at Fairfax had. I moved out of state a few months after a few months of them being opened. But I really wanted to leave a review for the spa. I was greatly pleased everytime I went there. The place is great, and the pedicures are the best! Everytime I had appointments, I made sure my days were clear, I spent at least three hours there! Pedicures are really worth the price. I am very picky when it comes to my nails… they happen to do the real gel sets. Like I said, a little time consuming, but definately loved being pampered here.

Much improvement from my first review. They actually gave me the royal treatment this time around. Linh is gone, but the guy that replaced her is fabulous! Everything is better this time around and it has nothing to do with wine they serve as you wait. No really ;}

I went for the spa package as well(it was supposed to be 2 hours but took approximatley 3 ½ hours). Although it was a pampering experience, I was getting restless close to the 3-hour mark. Pro’s: Facial by «Vi-Vi»(not sure how to spell her name) was EXCELLENT! This was my first experience having a facial and I thought it was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly and explained what she was doing and why along the way. She didn’t rush which I appreciated. My skin was glowing when she was done(my husband even noticed when I got home and he normally doesn’t notice things like this). I plan to make this a monthly or bi-monthly treat. Massage technique was good as well(I think the therapist’s name started with an «A»). Manicure & Pedicure The nail technician really took her time and gave a great leg massage. Normally, nail salons rub your legs with lotion for a few minutes and they’re done. Not this place. Cons: I was given a massage in what appeared to be the room where couples get massages and spa pedicures. There were two massage beds and two spa chairs. I would have preferred a smaller, cozier room. Also, the music didn’t kick in until about 10 – 15 minutes after the massage started. I found that strange and it sort of took away from the experience initially. Restroom /Changing Room It wasn’t nasty, but the floors needed to be swept and some of the robes had strands of hair on them. Eyebrow wax: My eyebrows were very thin when I left, which freaked me out. I’ve gotten sort of used to them now, but I doubt that I’d go there for this service in the future. This was only my second time in life having my brows waxed, so maybe I should have explained beforehand that I liked the shape and thickness of my eyebrows… they just needed to be cleaned up a little on the bottom. I’ve always had a natural arch. Lesson learned! *Overall, the staff members were friendly and seemed eager to please. I’d go back again. Note: be prepared for them to try and upsell you on whatever service you’re having done. I went there with a gift certificate but still ended up spending money(more than what I had planned for)! I was caught up in the moment, I suppose.

They just opened up their Fairfax location and were having huge promotions, so I had to try it. The facility itself is huge and very nicely laid out. I got a facial and ultimately decided to also get my hair cut(10 inches, not just a trim). Everybody that worked there looked very put-together, albeit a tiny bit disorganized. There was a lot of up and down and this way and that way and«Oh, what are you here for again?» But they have only been open for a month, so hopefully that’ll work itself out. My one big concern was that the lockers don’t have locks on them — the website says they do, but they don’t. I was told to leave my clothes but to bring my bag and all of my valuables. Not that I would leave my wedding band in a random locker, but it would have been nice to not have to lug my bag around. My facial was awesome but the facialist seemed very uncomfortable with the room — she kept bumping into things, but in her defense it was pretty small. It included a treatment on my arms and my back as well which was a really nice surprise. The room was quiet and I could barely hear anything going on outside, even though the waiting room was right next door. I got my hair cut by Lynne — she did an awesome job; I get a ton of compliments on it. First we did a consultation so I could see what her ideas were(and also get a look at her hair). She has a really cute style so I trusted she’d give me the same. I was right :) she’s very thorough and really clear about what she says she’s going to do. She also stopped every few minutes and let me see the back to make sure she wasn’t going too short. I definitely recommend her if you’re going to make a big change like I did! My friend got a pedicure while we were there and she LOVED it — she was in the chair for over an hour. I’m going tonight for one :) OK, so an update from last night. Turns out I forgot to mention a lot of the little details — like that you are served ice cold cucumber-infused water and fresh-cut cantaloupe. The pedicure was awesome, totally worth the $ 70. They offered me a free manicure and did it right in the chair so I didn’t have to move. The receptionist must have checked in with me a dozen times to see if I needed anything. It is just a great atmosphere all around… I’m definitely going back. Again, when I walked in they had no idea why I was there even after I gave my name, but the services are better than Red Door and not nearly as expensive!
