Great fresh fast food! Hand cut French fries. The wings are yummy! Okay, I’m a foodie and I love this place.

The perfect roadside gourmet burger spot! After passing countless signs for standard fast food we were delighted to find this gem on a quick Unilocal search. I had the fried green tomato turkey burger was fantastic. The sweet potato fries were also great. Prices are competitive win fast food so it’s a total winner and worth the extra 4 mins off the main highway. And they have free wifi that’s actually fast!

We stumbled across this place. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is not a dine in experience however the outdoor picnic tables are snugged among some pines making a pleasant eating experience.
The best part was the food and the friendliness of staff or owner. We ordered burgers which were cooked perfectly. Not dry and not too much grease. The ingredients were fresh and the meal was made to order.
The staff were pleasant and later came out to ask us if we enjoyed the food and thanked us for coming! What? Who does that? Anyway thought they deserved a spot on Unilocal.Mostly a lunch experience so see photo for times and dates open.

By far the best «fast food» grilled burgers, fried green tomatoes, fries & onion rings in the Golden Corner.

Had lunch there today awesome chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries. Order the fries without the added sugar they where sweet fresh and tasty without the added sugar. Phoned in my order and was ready in 10 minutes.

I’m a local and and grateful to have this great grill as a regular lunch spot! Delicious burgers (turkey burger is my favorite), sweet potato fries and fried green tomatoes! Oh and I forgot the buns. Yum! Marianne is a great cook and so welcoming to all of her guests. Great little diamond in the rough! Try Anelo… you’ll become a regular, too!!!

Cannot believe we waited so long to try Anelo Grill. All their food is locally sourced. And it is fabulously delicious! I had the Turkey Sliders with their homemade pimento cheese and applewood bacon. These people do it right! The chef/​owner, Marianne, even came out in a little while after we sat down to eat to make sure everything was satisfactory, which, of course, we said, «Yes!» Looking forward to my next meal at Anelo Grill…

Best burger outside of my back yard…
It was Angus beef, bacon, pimento cheese, lettuce and tomato. Great bun and hand cut fries perfectly crunchy.
All locally sourced food that you eat picnic style outside. Marianne, the owner, stopped by our table and talked to us. Very friendly… Even gave me a tip on improving my hand cut fries.
I can see us stopping by frequently when the burger urge hits. I bet the takeout value is high for those days when we want to stay on the lake. Now, if they just delivered!
… an added thought; We called once from our boat — a last minute thought about dinner. We had friends with us and were hungry. We said that we knew it was late (20 min to closing) and that it would take us 45 min to dock and then get there… The lady appeared to be resisting… we would accept that our food would be a bit on the cooling side… not a problem. She agreed. When we got there to pick it up, she had kept the grill going just for us and had fresh hot food ready to go exactly when we said we would be there!
Bottom line, this place cares about the food they serve an knows how to do it right. I don’t think that you can find fault with their burgers.

Cool spot and delicious burgers! My husband got the southern burger, which was delicious and I got the sliders! The meat was really good and the buns were soft. We also tried the sweet potato fries, which were dusted with sugar and a very good addition to the burgers.
The facility is very clean and new. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent burgers and some of the best fries that you will eat. All fries are made fresh and the family size is perfect for 3 people.
The Fried Green Tomato burger was so tasty and fresh. Makes Georgia jealous.
Service was exceptional with all we encountered.
They don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own being in SC. Luckily there is a liquor store right next door… so wink wink.
All in all, great place that should be patronized over any Chain garbage.

I was driving from Atlanta to Asheville, and came across this place entirely by chance. And what a lucky find! A gourmet burger food truck that would not be out of place in Atlanta or DC or Miami, but is instead… here. I don’t know why, but thank goodness it is. The beef on the burger was out of this world, and the sliders used King’s Hawaiian Bread buns. Oh, and the fried green tomatoes side dish was excellent. Too bad I don’t live closer to this place, or else I’d gain a few pounds…

This area has limited options for great food. Anelo Grill is the Oasis of the restaurant dessert that is Fair Play. They specialize in local grass fed angus beef that is freshly mixed and pattied on premises and cooked to order. The staff is great and the owner is a lot of fun. She cares about her customers, unlike a neighboring place that calls itself a restaurant. Hand cut fries will not disappoint and if beef is not your thing, the turkey burger or house made veggies burgers are awesome too. If traveling highway 11 in SC be sure to stop on by.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back to Atlanta. We had the fried green tomato burger and the sunrise burger. Both were outstanding. Such a lovely owner creating DELICIOUS burgers using local ingredients!

I have a really tough time landing this at just a 3 star, considering what this place stands for and the idea — it’s just the delivery that throws me a bit —
Anelo is one of your local grass fed beef type burgers. I love this concept. I love the idea that a restaurant will buy local and try to achieve a high quality product. The chef herself is interactive with the customers and seems dedicated to the product. I like that there was care in the menu — from the graphic design to the contents of the menu, the burgers are well thought out and creative.
The seating is outdoor only. They serve the food from a food ‘trailer’ — There is a restroom attached to the trailer as well. The seating arrangement is difficult though, the closest bench to the trailer rocks back and forth and if you try to sit on one side without the other, it tips back. If as a restaurant you are going to only have outdoor seating, and there is nothing else around for miles, make it work!
The burger was good. But… to me if you are going to deliver on being a burger place, don’t leave your customers with the potential of leaving hungry. I expect my burger to be the size of, or larger than, my bun. The burger is more of a «healthy size». Honestly though, if you are going to serve a burger and fries, you kind of already know as the recipient you are not there for the health factor. I had a burger, fries, and 3 chicken wings… and I felt like I didn’t leave feeling completely full. The wings are also tasty, but very little meat.
These things are easily fixable. add 2 more ounces or so to the size of the burger, provide meatier chicken wings, and fix the seating you provide, and Anelo, you could have me on at least a 4 if not 5 star. What I was provided was delicious and if you could provide MORE of it, I’ll be back!

Fast courteous service from the owner/​Chef Marianne and her great staff. Fresh cut fries (not frozen) sweet potato fries, great veggie burger. Give Anelo a try do not think you will be disappointed.

Just found this one by accident. Excellent food and friendly service. Fried Green Tomatoes were perfect. I will be going back soon.
