I live around the corner of this place so I’ve been here a few times. I usually order to go. The food is good, not great. The hot and sour soup is disappointing because I LOVE hot and sour soup. I’ve had hot and sour soup at many other restaurants before and theirs is just not very good. I love spicy food and every time I’m there I ask the server to make sure my food is super spicy. She says ok. When I get home I have to add my own hot sauce– lol. But that’s ok. The convince factor can’t be beaten because as I said this place is pretty close to where I live and I’m all about supporting my neighborhood establishments. I like this place overall and they have my business.

Convenient location, speedy service, but taste wise this place is pretty mediocre. We ordered the Snow pea chicken, honey walnut prawns, and steamed rice. The prawns weren’t actually prawns they were more like medium sized shrimp. When I pay a higher price for a «premium» item I expect it to be worth it. The snow pea chicken was doused in soy sauce and the snow peas were a little over cooked. I absolutely love Chinese food, so I will probably give this place another try, but maybe get some of the more classic items like the Kung Pao and sweet and sour chicken and see if they can hold a candle to my regular spot I use to go to.

decent, not dirty. good portions, good value lunch. Obviously a mom n pop style establishment. the waitress was eating in the main dining room at a table next to us. Otherwise I would give it 4 stars. not the best, not the worst. decent.

First time went for dinner and they turned us down because they were closing in 30 mins. Wish they had posted the hours on Unilocal

We were running short on time so we let our server know, and our family style dinner was delivered pronto! Tasty, large portions at an economical price meant we brought some home, and we were so very happy we will be back!

Ate lunch today at golden palace. Large lunch menu with a lot of variety. Reasonably priced and food was great. I had Mongolian beef and it had the right spice. Hot and sour soup was delicious. Large portion of food have enough for lunch tomorrow. Unlike other reviews our waitress was courteous and polite. We will definitely return!

Yum! We stopped here on the way to Tahoe and were delightfully surprised. We all loved the food, especially the chicken fried rice, scallops and vegetables and orange chicken. The broccoli beef was okay but the other entrees were so delicious and the service was so quick and friendly that they deserve a five star rating. We will stop in again on the way back home.

I just moved back to the area from across town and was craving some Kung Pao chicken after my gym workout. I moved a block away from Golden Palace, so thought I’d give it a shot. Oh am I glad I did. The owners are really nice people who greet you with a smile and conversation. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Wor Won Ton soup to go. The soup was delicious! The broth wasn’t overly salty like so many places tend to be, and was very flavorful on its own. The Kung Pao Chicken was very good. Again, not salty and very flavorful, with just enough heat to make it kick. Will definitely go back again. So glad it’s nearby.

We are new to the area and wanted to find a Chinese restaurant that was good. We took our family(8 of us) and ordered different items. Service was quick, prices were great and best of all, the food was excellent! Will definitely go back.

I love this place. My bf turned me on to it and now it’s our favorite place to go when we are craving Chinese. Their lunch plate menu is the best! I get the Kung Pao nice and spicy with great sauce. My boyfriend loves the noodles and likes to change it up once in awhile. A good place to eat in or take it home and relax too.

I was craving Chinese food since I woke up this morning, but I had to wait until dinner because apparently it hasn’t been socially accepted as a breakfast food… yet. Golden Palace is the closest restaurant to my house but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a small place and nothing super flashy, but it doesn’t have to be, the food sells itself. The service is good and quick and the food is hot and delicious. I got take out and it still burned my mouth by the time I got home! There’s probably better Chinese food out there, but there’s definitely far worse. Overall experience 10⁄10.

Golden palace never let’s me down! Consistently serving great quality food at affordable prices. They give big servings and the meat they use never seams to be fatty or tough. Orange chicken is my favorite.

I’ve visited here a few times for some yummy Chinese food. Interior needs some work, but the food is amazing. I get the honey walnut prawns everytime. So so good. Wish they had more options for daily soup besides their usual, but overall still delicious Chinese food. Definitly will be going back again and again.

I have been ordering takeout from these guys for a few years now, and I have to say that they are always on their game. I think people just expect too much anymore and are just like to whine all over the internet because it’s not to their precise specs. I find in short that the food is more quantity and better quality than what you pay for it. The staff is very polite, personable and helpful whenever i have questions, and the atmosphere is that of what I would expect from a simple family owned restaurant. They are open 7 days a week, and I highly recommend their garlic chicken lunch plate.
