Conroy’s Irish Pub

Um, ya. Wanna be 80’s band screaming their lyrics with a grand total of 20 people inside, severely overpriced and poorly mixed drinks with the gagging smell of old grease filling the air.

My boyfriend and I are visiting Boerne and stumbled upon Conroys… We ordered the nachos, which were awesome! The staff was friendly and upbeat. The kitchen is open you get a clear view of the chef as well. The set up of the bar is nice and there was live music. We will definitely be back!

But for a neighborhood bar it fits the bill nicely. Darts, live misic, pool, video games and great combination of seating choices. Booths, bar seating, tall tops and (what do you call em) plush seats around a cocktail table.
It not at the top of my list but it is on my list

The fish and chips were sub par. More batter than fish and the fries need more time in the fryer. The restaurant was deserted… which is always a bad sign. Adiós Conroy’s…I’m never coming back.

Conroys has potential but I am not happy about spending money on what could be. They are mostly all very rude and give you the impression that they could care less. It is dimly lit, which is good because it’s very drab. I used to recommend it but I don’t any more. It needs an owner and management that cares a little bit !

Had a great time here. Bartender was very friendly. Food was great and beer was cold. Great spot for lunch.

Amazing bartender, definitely experienced. Took the time to make me ginger ale when they don’t serve it. Great people, great food and great service. Highly recommended.

Went here con mi esposa for First Thursday: FREE craft beer tastings. Couldn’t turn down FREE after hearing it on NPR on the way to work. Anyhow, they offered nine unique beers. Joint is clean and inviting, with typical bar details: boozy mirrors, pool table, booths, and yes a bar. Staff are friendly. Food service was painfully slow. Waitress forgot our second appetizer, so we had to re-​order. Potato skins were good to very good: crispy and tasty, but needing just a bit more salt or pizzaz. Chicken wings were outstanding: perfectly fried to create that nice crunchy outside with a hot, juicy inside. Topped that all of with a Big Ass Mug with 24 ounces of draft Dos Equis for… drum roll: $ 4.95. They have raffles every 20 minutes. Used our Unilocal coupon for 50% off one appetizer. We walked out with some nice beer mugs, full bellies, and a smile for under $ 18. Good date night! OVERALL: GOOD/​VERY GOOD. RECOMMENDED. T o earn four stars, Conroy’s need to speed up that kitchen!

I had the worst time ever in this so called irish pub. The bartender Ashley gave the worst service I have ever seen. She would rather smoke a cigarette than serve the patrons.

Awesome people. Awesome food. AND they know their beer. Every time. I’ve been a server myself. I always tip and ALWAYS silently critique. This team always delivers. The only downside is only one pool table. Experienced players. This might not matter to you though.

Really nice bar. Went with four co-​workers and had a blast. 24 oz beers for $ 4.50!!! Sweet. Ketel and cranberry only $ 5.50. Half price appetizers with Unilocal check-​in. Great service. Friendly neighborhood folks.

Totally pleasantly surprised! Super reasonable Sunday happy hour. Nice atmosphere, especially if you’re a sports fan… tv’s everywhere! My dude killed it at ping ping! Pool table and darts too. I’m pretty sure it’s the only sports bar in the area. Food was pretty on point. Had a A1 burger, hand cut fries, mushrooms and wings… beat out any other mainstream chain I’ve eaten from.
This place is great for locals in the Boerne and Leon Springs area. Will need to check it out on a regular Friday and Saturday before I give it 5 stars.

I live about 2 minutes from here and have been once. My husband and I stopped in after a date night to get a drink before heading home. After sitting down the waitress asked what we would like to drink. We ordered our typical beers. I wish we would have known they had food and a larger beer selection but menus weren’t offered to us.
There was a live band that night which was fun, I love live music but once they went on break the music was blaring from the speakers.
We ended up playing some darts and were there for about 2 hours. Only saw our waitress once and ended up paying the tab with another waitress.
*side note: saw several people I went to high school with and we all mutually decided to play the game «I don’t recognize you, don’t ask about my life.»

Stopped in while wife was taking care of some other business. Had a an Ice Cold Mich Ultra and left. Cool place check it out.

This was such a sad day for Ben and I. We had just moved to this side of town and had just left a great pub — Beef O Brady’s and were looking for a new drinking hole. Well to start with, since we are outo of SA, they allow smoking and they take advantage of it. So its not horrible but as we are not smokers and have gotten use to the smoking ban in SA restaurants this was quite a change. But they had a good selection of beers and so we ordered some and some chicken wings. Our waitress did not know all the beers and instead of showing us the list, which I did ask for a list, she rattled off some beers and we chose from what she stated. After we found the list, I changed my selection as they had one of my favorite beers, Victoria, which the waitress had not stated. When we got the wings all was forgiven and i was ready to give this place 4 stars. The Lemon Parm flavor was so yummy I was back in my happy place. Then at 7 PM they turned the music up to such a degree I had to significantly raise my voice to Ben to just have a conversation. I know I was not the only one who felt this as I could hear everything the people behind us stated as they also had to raise their voices. This was not good as they were sending back something (can’t remember) because they said it was raw. So I asked my waitress why it was so loud and she agreed it was loud and lowered the volume. Again, back in my happy place but now at a 3 star state of mind. About 30 minutes later the music was loud again and I had a headache.
My suggestion to the owners, if there are only 10 people in there, keep the music reasonable so that people can enjoy each others company after a hard day at work.
They did have a Unilocal deal but when I showed it to the waitress and later the manager they seemed all confused on the deal. So that was also a let down. But they did honor the deal, but its a pain when people don’t know whats going on and you have to walk them thru it.
Anyway, We were hoping for this to be our next «go to» pub but it is not meant to be.

Fantastic food! Lunch specials are a bargain. Plenty of TVs. Good beer selection. I love this place!
