I’ve been wanting to try Anthony’s for awhile. We’d gone once before but the wait was too long so we left, but we tried again last night and got a table pretty quickly. We ordered a small salad to share with shredded cheese(an add-on charge) and a large pie, half cheesesteak and half plain. The salad arrived quickly… with a half-filled salad dressing sized cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. There was barely enough cheese to even lightly sprinkle across the salad. We thought they must have been rushing and asked the waitress to ask them to fill the cup. She said ‘that is the portion size’ and walked away. Ew. Then the pizza came. It was ok, though not worth the price. They skimped on the cheese and toppings here as well. The crust in some areas was 2+ inches wide:-/ and the parts with sauce didn’t have cheese either, so basically you either got a mouthful of dough and cheese, or a mouthful of dough and sauce. Had our server bothered to check on us, we would have told her, but in all honesty I’m sure it wouldn’t have made a difference. We got our bill, paid and left… will we return? Um, no thank you!

If you read my entries you know I am perpetually behind. I came here quite awhile back. The pizza and the salad were pretty good. The service was a little uneven. If the weather is nice definitely sit outside if you can.

I’d been to Anthony’s in Wayne, PA but recently visited the Fair Lawn location for the first time. I enjoyed the chicken wings, served with rosemary focaccia and onions. Our group also ordered the traditional pie, eggplant pie and Paul & Young Ron pie which comes loaded with meat and super spicy peppers. Service was inconsistent and an error in the pizza sizes brought to our table wasn’t corrected. I enjoyed the thin crust pies with the eggplant being my favorite.

I come here often but today was a totally different experience. Karen the hostess didn’t know how to seat customers properly. Waited twenty minutes for a table for two that was free for over 20 minutes. After she sat 4 tables of 3 and more we were seated at the table we asked to sit from the beginning. We informed her the last party of four was leaving still she made us wait until she sat the table of four(last table in front of us) and we were sat at the table that was available over 20 minutes. Party of two that was ahead of us left since the wait was so long. Karen rudely sat us down and didn’t even apologize making us wait for a table that was available the whole time which we request in the beginning. When we brought this up to the manager Wendy she was as unapologetic as the hostess and didn’t even accomendate us for the inconvenience. Wendy was very unprofessional manager and this location needs to trained how to seat customers properly. It was very unpleasant experience since we go to this location often since it is next to retro fitness. I would hate to pick another restaurant in the shopping complex due to this experience which could’ve been easily fixed. The waitress and food were great as always. If anything our waitress should’ve been the manager she knows how to deal with customers more professionally.

For a pizza chain restaurant Anthony’s is decent! Although I prefer the location in Clifton, we had a fun time here. You can’t go wrong with the traditional pie and the eggplant one is tasty too. We had one pizza with various types of meats and peppers on it, but be careful if you get a full bite of pepper because they were super spicy! Our service could have been better though, we got two small pies and one large when we asked for two large and one small. Our waiter did not correct the problem when we brought it up.

Came here with my boyfriend for dinner. We enjoyed our salad. Our pizza was amazing! We got prosciutto and onions. We had never seen so much prosciutto on a pizza before! It was awesome! Service was friendly also! We’ll be back!

Yes as good as it gets. The crust is thin and NOT greasy or soggy. Very well cooked and crispy. Toppings are great and the pizza product is fantastic. Have tried the meatballs as well. They too are darn good. The beers and wine were also superb. Maybe you like all the other drippy and gooey pizzas out there. Thats fine, but if you want pizza European style like it should be try them. You WILLNOT be disappointed.

Was hesitant because this is a chain. I’m so not a fan of eating at chain restaurants. But they had these meatballs served with ricotta cheese that were actually pretty great. Pizza was standard, nothing to write home about. It’s worth it to come here though. I particularly am a fan of this location because they seem to have a soft spot for Dan Marino and I am a Dolphins fan :)

Not really much to say. Wings are great. Who knew plain grilled wings could be so tasty? They dump a ton of sauted onions on them which are ok I guess. Meatballs are solid. They come with some bread, a nice amount of sauce and a scoop of ricotta. Pizza to me was average. Only gripe was that I took the left over meatball order to go and the waitress just wrapped up the meatball, no sauce, bread or ricotta cheese that was in the plate. Needless to say it was disappointed to heat up and dive into. Will def be back down the road and make sure to go over any items to go in detail.

I was there today and we always have a very pleasant young lady serving us at the bar… upon change of shift we got a male bartender who never came to us for 47 minutes…. 47… and it was a young lady who checked me out… competition is ro fierce for very very bad service… Anthony would even be embarrased… forget the coal fire pizza… what about a fired bartender… shame shame…

Service has gotten way slower, chicken sandwich was ehh. The prosciutto is rather bad as well, not worth it for a 9.33 sandwich overflowing with arugula and a bland dressing. It took quite a while to check up(needed napkins due to the drenched sandwich) and it took a while for my credit card to come back. A bunch of waitresses/waiters were all standing in one area. It almost looked like one of them was looking at their phone of all things while the place was crowded. And the tables in front and behind me got their food within 10 – 15 minutes like they usually have done before, and they ordered very similar food. I still recommend the roast beef sandwich but if they take 30 minutes again for a sandwich in the middle of a work day, I can’t exactly stop here anymore. Honestly, why? Stick with the roast beef or mushroom pizza. I’m tempted to lower this to a 1/I would if that roast beef sandwich didn’t exist.

I went into this experience with little expectations since it’s a chain and usually they fall short. Anthony’s did not. I went on a Wednesday aka Meatballs & Martinis day no seriously that’s their special. Cocktails are strong no complaints here and not bad for $ 6! We ordered 3 pies for the table. Meatballs & Ricotta, Paul & Young Ron and the Arugula. Excellent. Our server was great too. Definitely would come back here.

My sister ordered take out from the catering menu yesterday to serve 10. For $ 130 they sent enough pizza, wings, eggplant, meatballs and salad to serve a small army. Had never considered them for catering before but will definitely do so now. Awesome and delicious.

Eh. Not impressed. Had the fresh mozzarella sliced tomato & basil pizza first, which was A-OK. wasn’t fantastic, nothing special to it. have no clue what the hype was about. Then we got the wings because my SO’s buddy recommended it — um… eh — likewise not very impressed. It was mediocre. The atmosphere = was a bit crowded on a weekend night. The bar was even packed. The waiter was courteous and I didn’t feel unwelcome, but nothing special about the service to speak of either. All in all, this didn’t make me a pizza fan.

This place is A-OK in my books. Its exactly what you expect out of this chain. Good pizza and drinks! I had their pumpkin beer with their sugar cinnamon rim– delish. Their eggplant marino pizza was good. I love how they have an outdoor seating at the bar which is where we took our two seats. Its a great place to sit on a nice night out. Its located in a cute new promenade.

A friend and I came in on thurs evening last week and sat at the bar for dinner. Jessica was our server/bartender and she was so sweet and helpful, pointing out the daily happenings and specials that they do(such as ½ off craft beers, $ 5 martinis, etc.) We ordered wings(they are baked!) and white pizza(as always). Always satisfied with this place– if you havent been here yet and are a pizza fan, check. it. out!

Crowded… loud… fairly small… Not great for large parties, unless you like to be spread out. Good beer list and the food is pretty good. I like the Wings with onions, especially because they are not batter dipped and fried. We had a regular pizza, which was very good… and the Cauliflower Pizza, which was excellent. A little too much salt, but the flavors were quite tasty. Seems like they have a nice little bar scene, too… which was packed. A good addition to the area.

This place was okay. Atmosphere: Cool open seating area with alot of typical food chain things on the wall. Enough seating for a good crowd but does have a weight from time to time. Drinks: There beer selection was pretty good nothing crazy but a good amount for any palate. The Food: We got Prosciutto Pizza — I was a little disappointed in the fact that it was american prosciutto and took away from the overall good pizza it self. Chicken Pizza– Chicken on the pie was a tad overcooked but a good pizza nonetheless. Italian Suasage Pizza — A little bit of kick to compliment the pizza, i think this was the best one we got. Chicken Wings — The seasoning on the chicken was amazing and i would absolutely go back just for the wings. Salad — it was a salad. Downfall was it was a weekday night and it was a 45 minute wait. In my opinion if you have close to an hour wait you better blow me away.
