If I could give Marina 10 stars, I would! She’s absolutely amazing! From the services to the products, she listens and recommends the right things for you. I loved all the services I’ve gotten and how sweet and patient Marina is, explaining everything and answering all my questions after the services. The products I’ve gotten have all been amazing as well. My skin has never looked better and it’s all thanks to Marina! Looking forward to booking my next appointment :)

I went to Marina’s Holmdel location. It wasn’t like any facial that I’d had before. The other ones were more for spa/relaxation…this one (I think) was more for results. I guess the jury is still out b/​c it’s only been a week, but so far I think the results are really good.
She analyzes your skin and tells you what she thinks needs work and then proceeds to attack the problem areas. For me it was hyperpigmentation for my very fair skin. Basically, I have some dark spots (age spots if you want to be nasty about it :).). She explained that it’s actually harder to lift dark spots out of fair skin b/​c they go deep. Other than that, she said I have beautiful skin and I’m not aging quickly, although she did recommend that I stop using the exfolliant that I was using b/​c it was too harsh. She gave me the type of facial that she thought would benefit me most, and also did dermaplaning. She also suggested some products that would help with the dark spots (I’m not someone who’s sold these type of products easily).
As soon as I went home I could see my skin looked better. And even though it’s only been a week, after using the products every day I’ve seen a real improvement. My skin tone is evening out (I hadn’t even noticed before that it was uneven) and starting to glow. I’ll definitely be scheduling another facial.

I recently went to Marina at skin basically for the first time, it was what my skin has been waiting for! She assessed my certain skin issues and thoroughly explained each product and treatment. She removed Melias that I have had for the longest time. she gave me tips about my current skin condition and how to prevent breakouts. Her treatments were amazing-​I left with clear, smoother and radiant skin. Two days after my deep cleansing facial and treatment I received a compliment about my skin with no make up on from a complete stranger. I am a customer for life and plan to buy the products she so kindly gave me samples! It is not your «gushy» spa like facial, it’s what I refer as a miracle worker for the face! A customer for life!

I have been going to see Marina at both her Holmdel and Fair Haven locations for a couple of years now. As a woman in her early 40’s, I have always felt it extremely important to look after my skin and get regular facials/​treatments to keep it in good condition. Finding Marina was a stroke of luck, as she works wonders with my skin.
Throughout the summer I get facials from Marina (you MUST try the new Environ line she is working with), and then during the winter I get regular peels. I cannot tell you the difference this will make to your skin. My face glows after visiting Marina.
Both her locations are clean, comfortable and quiet. She stocks a wide range of products, and is very well-​versed in what will work with your specific skin type. I have often had peels from Plastic Surgeons and dermatologists, but I find Marina provides far superior results, at very reasonable prices.
I have recommended her to many of my friends, who have all become Skin Basically converts. No matter what your skin type/​issues, Marina will have a solution for you.

I have gone to Marina for a series of chemical peels in preparation for my wedding. The prices are quite reasonable – she is very knowledgeable, and provides a clean and comfortable setting. The treatments were successful in creating an overall even skin tone and began reducing the size of pores and fine lines.
I have also started using several of the products she offers and she is great about swapping out items that may irritate the skin.
I have also gone to Marina for brow waxing/​tinting – she does great work!

my mom goes to marina frequently for microdermabrasions and facials. ill talk about her first: my mom bought a package of microdermabrasions from marina, and i saw a noticeable difference in the quality of her skin from prodecure to procedure. she literally looked about ten years younger by the completion of the package!
now for my review: marina is super nice, and was patient with me when i got lost and then couldnt find the entrance to her salon (its on the side of the blue building next to valley natl bank, fyi). i was worried about getting my microdermabrasion because my skin is very very sensitive (which marina noted immediately). the entire process was relaxing, the extractions werent too painful, and i am thrilled with how my skin looks now! so exciting– i will definitely be back for pre-​wedding skincare :) she also gave me some samples of products, which work, but i will not be purchasing because unfortunately they are not cruelty free :(
