This is the third visit for our anniversary. The food was really good. I had a quesadilla and the salmon. The salmon was probably the best I have had in a very long time-it was delicious! The service was great, we could talk and had a wonderful time. We will go again.

Hands down the best place to drink and eat in Chester County. The food is awesome the beer selection is always fantastic but the real reason we come back over and over is the service. The bartenders are the best I’ve seen. They’re super friendly and in this county that’s rare. Fran, Kevin, Clint and the awesome Jade are hands down the best. They hustle they know their business and they can still interact with the customers without missing a beat. Our all time favorite place I’d give it ten stars if I could.

Been coming to Ron’s since the 90s and we love it! I can’t tell you much about the menu because I always get an Oval.(Red white and Blue is my favorite.)They have a nice beer list and good bar specials. A bit loud when there is live music. But it’s a nice place to meet with a friend for a drink or take the family for dinner. Ron’s has grown imensly since the 90s but still has great food. We also order take-out, pizza and ovals on occasion. Their convenient take-out side makes pick up quick and easy, not to mention their nice beer selection. Service can be a bit slow and I never go on Friday or Saturday night because I know the wait will be too long. But on off nights, a Ron’s Oval is a treat!

Excellent place for cheesesteaks with a wide variety of cheese steak options for the Philly original. I usually get the pizza steak which is pizza sauce, steak and mozzarella cheese. Portions are good, menu selection is decent and the bar is a great hang out for whatever.

Never had a bad meal at Ron’s. We’ve been going there for over 20 years. Great food at a reasonable price. Nice early bird specials.

My family has been ordering from Ron’s for maybe close to 15 years, and it’s always been a favorite pizza/takeout/delivery place. Huge fan of the ovals, and cheesesteaks. But that says nothing of the cheeseburgers and fries. My family at some point did a blind taste test for bacon cheese burgers with local joints(jake’s way back, five guys, Ron’s, McDonald’s, American Bar and Grille(back when it existed) and a few others) and Ron’s was far and away the winner. It was well deserved imo, they have some of my all time favorite burgers.

I have never actually eaten inside of Ron’s, but my husband and I have ordered out from here consistently for the past 2 months. Ron’s has amazing burgers and even better fries. The sweet potato fries are banging and so are the Victoria’s Secret fries. Don’t even get me started on the buffalo chicken oval. So tasty! My husband and I have made this our weekly cheat meal spot. I addition to the great food, whenever I come to pick up my order the cashier is so sweet and friendly. Can’t wait until we come and sit down to eat.

Awesome service great food… perfect for a date or just a night out with friends. Back for another night and I asked if I could substitute a side dish which I wad allergic to and was told no. Not really happy about that. I thought this was about customer service.

My cheers. Great food. Great bartenders. Great live music. 2 miles to home. Go ahead and try to debate that. Have NEVER had a bad meal here. Tonight I had the Sicilian hoagie and it was off the charts fantastic. A hollowed out roll chock full of meat cheese and peppers. Heaven. Come– eat, drink, listen, and join the family that is Rons.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. They have the freshest food. Every time I go I get amazing service. I also never have any problems with my order. Everything they make is delicious. My favorite is the blackened chicken Alfredo. I wish I would remember to take a picture of it, but every time my meal is put down in front of me I start to devour it. My mother cannot have gluten and she loves this place. This place always provides the best gluten free meals without skimping on the taste. She has had bad experience at other restaurants. One place lied to her saying they made her meal gluten free when they really did not. But here she never has to worry. Their flour is imported from Italy. So it is fresh and doesn’t have any crap in it like the flour does over here. Their meat is antibiotic and hormone free. You know when your meal comes out that you are getting the best. I always recommend this restaurant to my loved ones.

This was my first experience with Ron’s. Reading the reviews and everything I had heard had me really wanting to try it. So when my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat we decided to try Ron’s. First, I must say that the food was great — it was the service that was very poor. Our order was very simple — we ordered calamari for an appetizer and shrimp scampi for her and chicken parmesan for me. We both ordered water with lemon since we already had a beer from the bar. A few minutes later the server showed up with one glass of water. After another 20 minutes I made the comment to my girlfriend that the calamari was taking a long time. Not more than a minute later the food runner showed up with our entrees. Our calamari never showed up. I asked the food runner to grab our server who came right over and I asked him about the calamari. His response — «Calamari? Sorry — you want it now?» I then asked about the bread and he said«Oh, I’ll be right back» and to his credit, he did return with bread. All along, still only 1 glass of water so when he returned with bread, we reminded him about the other glass of water and by now mine was empty and needed a refill. I was never asked if I needed more or given another glass. We ate our meal — and again, the food was fantastic — but we were very disappointed in the service. On our way out I spoke with the manager and let him know what had happened. I also told him that this was my first time there and while the food was great, I probably would not return. I also acknowledged that I am only one customer and the place was packed so my loss of business wouldn’t matter. His response — «Where were you sitting? I’m sorry. I hope you give us another shot.» Honestly, I felt that our server was following the managers example. Neither one seemed to show any sign of caring. I am truly not one to complain, but as a business owner myself, I want to know when something goes wrong and I want to find a way to make it right. Don’t just say«I hope you give us another shot» — give me a reason to come back. I’m not asking for a free meal but how about a drink or an appetizer(calamari, maybe that we never got this trip?) My hope is that this truly was an anomaly and not indicative of the overall service at this restaurant. My guess is that it’s not, due to its popularity.

Ovals are great! They have an extensive menu but we always go for the ovals. The prices are high on the kids menu so thus far I’ve managed to have my toddler share my oval instead of dropping another $ 9 for chicken fingers. The wait time can be long if you go during prime hours and on the weekends. They do not take reservations.

Usually always a five star… Last two times we’ve dined at Ron’s service has been slow. The food is tasty. Stick with the ovals and you will enjoy!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed rons yet. Maybe I hesitate because I don’t want the wait to get any longer during peak hours. Although, waiting for a table while enjoying a beer ain’t too bad. Anyway… Plain and simple it’s our go-to restaurant. We dine there once a week and get takeout probably 3 – 4 times a week. We have our favorites — Val’s nachos, blackened chicken salad, salmon entrée, chicken south philly, boneless wings, cheesesteaks, sorrento, etc… Truth is, everything is good. Wegmans motto is «food you can feel good about», and although we rarely eat healthy at Ron’s, we know it’s all made from the best and freshest ingredients possible. As far as food goes, we typically stick to «bar food» and salads and I can say with confidence it’s better and more consistent than anything else around town. If you’re not into good eats, you should come for the beer. They always have a great lineup of crafts and the takeout selection is exceptional. ROCK club — I don’t know the exact math, but I think you get $ 25 credit for every $ 500 you spend. Essentially, that’s 5% off every time you go — including booze. Say what? That’s a club anyone can get behind, especially since they have monthly drawling for random prizes. I won two phillies tickets in primo seats last summer. Phillies stink, but what other restaurant is doing this? They have great food, great beer, family friendly ambiance, live music on the weekends, great bar tenders and waitstaff, and they reward you for dining with them. In my opinion, the 5 star rating system is an insult to how great this place actually is.

My friend told me about Ron’s few times and I was so happy that I finally got the chance to have dinner there last week. We were served by the lovely Alyssa, she was very nice and very helpful. I got the turkey roast dinner which was fantastic. The mashed potatoes were very fresh and the carrots were absolutely amazing! Not to mention that everything there is organic which is a huge plus. I will definitely be back.

Have been coming here for years. I’ll state up front my biggest issues are always 1) long waits even when tables are visibly open and available and 2) slow food service. This is not a one time thing, we are there at least four times a year and have been coming since the 90’s and it’s always been this way. That being said the food is always high quality and they make an effort to use fresh ingredients. The menu is vast but they do a good job with the pastas and the sandwiches from our experiences.

Let me start out by saying that I LOVED this place and I am honestly very sad to give them a poor review, but there is good reason for this which I will get to in just a moment. Their food selection is very diverse(same with the beer list!) and has never been anything short of excellent, the atmosphere is very cool and low key and the service has always been on point at both the restaurant, the bar and the pick-up room. We would frequent this place on a regular basis, until our latest experience this past Friday. My fiancé’ and I were here on Friday, 8÷7÷15, and we had a server by the name of Jack. Jack was a strange guy– he seemed way too comfortable with us right from the get-go calling me baby and stealing french fires off of our plates when he would come to check on us. It was a little uncomfortable, but we just chalked it up to him being overly confident/friendly/comfortable as my fiancé and I are pretty friendly, down-to-Earth people and easy to have fun with. All was well and good until the end of the night when we had asked for a to-go bag. Jack brought them over to us and wrapped up my food and then my fiancé’s. He asked what my fiancé’s name was and I told him. Thinking he was writing his name on the bag, he set the bag down in front of us and walked away. He wrote«DICKHEAD Thanks for eating at Rons!!» on my fiancé’s to-go bag. WTF?!? SERIOUSLY??? Joking or not, that is NOT cool. The picture of the bag is posted here as well. Needless to say, we were both fuming. We found the floor manager, Steve, and told him about it right away and showed him the bag. Steve looked at me in disbelief and I told him this way over the line and uncalled for. I explained that we are all about having fun with people, but this was completely inappropriate and that Jack did not know us at all to be joking around with us in that sort of a way. Steve said he understood and I asked him what was going to be done about it and he replied that this will cost Jack his job and then we were ushered out the door. No profuse apology or offer to comp our meal or speak to the owner, etc. Your employee just blatantly insulted a regular-visiting, paying customer by calling him a dickhead on paper and all we received was a non-concerned apology and were showed the door. Not satisfied with the way this handled, I called back and spoke with a female manager. She did apologize to us more than once which we appreciated and told us that this was unacceptable but we didn’t need to hear the obvious stated again– the option to allow us to speak with the owner, comp our meal, or follow-up as to how this would be handled would have been the right way to handle this. Very disappointing and we won’t be back.

Cheese Steak was okay. I came here to do a team building exercise with my company. This is a great place for large groups. We had over 13 people together all at one table. Service was also pretty fast. I guess I’m just not a fan of the cheese steak here. However, the pizza looked great. I’ll try that next time.

I like the fact that they make homemade dressings and foods here. There is always a wait for a table so be prepared to wait for your table. The food was fresh and tasty and the menu is very large with something to please everyone in your party. On this night we had turkey melt sandwich, chicken caesar salad, boneless wings(bbq) and sweet potato fries(delish). I would go back to try some more of their entrees and samplers as I liked the quality of their food. I would not try to go on a Friday or Saturday night unless i had lots of time!
