Hilton Garden Inn Exton/West Chester

Why 5 stars? Because I’ve stayed here a couple of times for work and each time the consistency and the value can’t be beat.
The rooms are clean, large and well appointed. The beds are actually really comfy and easy to fall asleep in. The shower is always hot and there are always plenty of towels.
The staff, especially the ladies who work the breakfast shift, are the best. Funny, sweet, welcoming and accommodating. They’re always there to help out and their quick service can’t be beat.
I really enjoy coming «home» to a platter of the best brown sugar cranberry cookies at night. That along with the lemonade and fruit punch is a nice little extra after a long day at work.
I truly feel as though this hotel is my home away from home while in PA.

I stayed here a few times over the course of three weeks while I was in the area on business. It is a relatively new hotel and is close to the business parks and shopping in the area. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
Rooms are standard HGIs with adjustable beds and are very spacious and clean. I always opt for breakfast at HGIs and no disappointment here. Their staff were nice and efficient and anything made to order came out correctly. The bar area is pretty lively in the evening — lots of people staying here opt to drink at the bar after work.
Other notes: self laundry is $ 3.50 a load. If the front parking is full, you can go around back for close parking to the doors by the elevator.
Overall, I enjoyed my stays here and would return if I was in the area.

For the area, which I am originally from, this is a great buy. A value play. I find it to be clean, the hospitality coffee bar well maintained, staff courteous, and prices fair. I travel a lot for work and would not be surprised to see a hotel like this cost twice as much. Even the the fitness room was a nice surprise. Many of these hotels call a small closet with a treadmill and a mat a fitness room. Not the case here. There is plenty to get a good workout in.
The location is spot-​on for visiting the area. Right off the turnpike for easy access to east-​west destinations; just up the road from West Chester, and just down the street from Marsh Creek. You can even get to the train in 10 mins to visit Philly.
If you are hell bent on a $ 110 room, go to the Holiday Inn Express or Marriott Residence Inn. But they are older-​designed, and in some cases poor condition.
Thank you for the stay. We will be back at some point — hopefully after Rt 100 is widened.

Updated hotel, clean and fresh. Nice location and close to shopping, food, etc. rooms have the typical mini frig, microwave and coffee machine.
I didn’t eat at the hotel but the menu appeared to have a good variety. The front desk will give you coupons for local restaurants if you ask.
Definitely would stay here again.

Thank you (William and staff) for helping us when our car wasnt starting. Was nice how quickly the hotel was willing and able to help us. We were on the way to the airport and the car didnt start — just barely made our flight. So thank you!

I really wanted to like this hotel. It has a great location, and it’s new, clean and fresh. The rates can be decent, but are inconsistent. I wanted a place to recommend to friends and family, a place that would make them feel indulged in excellence. The Hilton Garden Inn in Exton is not that place.
I’ve had both family and friends stay at the Inn while visiting. Both were disappointed. The breakfast is overpriced and underwhelming. My friend ended up spending $ 50 for a terrible breakfast. I saw the food and chose not to place an order.
I had family give it a try, despite the experience with the friend who was visiting. Mistake. Family spent a long day traveling in the area, and upon return to the hotel, we found that nothing had been done to clean the room. Unmade beds, wet towels, not any of the specialness of staying at a nice hotel. Upon calling the front desk, they told us it was no big deal, and they would send housekeeping up at 10pm. They had a total underappreciation of the importance of providing the services they promised. No apology. Nothing but an attitude that it was my relatives that were the problem.
Upon checking out the next day, they offered a free breakfast coupon and acted like it was a huge thing to give, like it was something they should be praised for. It was strange. My family passed on breakfast, knowing that it was bad. They left the hotel certain of one thing… they will not return.
Since then, we have gone back to specifying the former hotel. It’s not as shiny and new, but they do provide all that is supposed to accompany a hotel stay in the price range that they offer.

Stay away from this one. Here is why — called them to inquire about the price and availability and was told $ 119 a night. When we showed up to check in it became $ 149. We agreed since it was only for a night and we didn’t want to go re-​load the car or put the cranky 2yr old back in the car seat. The room was fine but the next morning pricing issues continued. Our bill was printed out and it was for $ 334. There was a charge for $ 170. When asked we were told it was «only a hold and will come off later». I have never seen a hold actually showing up on your bill. Later, on closer scrutiny we found that $ 170 was a charge for food. Clearly someone else put it on our room. I called American express to dispute it instead of dealing with Hilton’s incompetent staff.
UPDATE December 2^nd 2014 — Today more than a month after we made the mistake of staying at this place I have been charged another $ 164. I don’t know how from 3000 miles away in California we used their hotel. I suppose I need to change my card number to stop this. So far I have paid over $ 500 for staying here a night. Once they save your credit card number they can continue to charge you forever.

BEST HOTEL EVER. Treat you like royalty and prices are fair. If you have triple A Or terrain meant forget which one, they have a special price. Breakfast is so yummy. Fresh cut fruit, eggs however you want made, bacons sausage and u can get as much as you want. ALL the staff is so nice and helpful didn’t meet one rude worker and I talked to a lot of the workers. Workout room is amazing. New equipment and so nice. Nice commputer room. And try the oatmeal bars, they are so good!!! Really delicious.

I always stay at Hilton Garden Inn when I travel and this time was no exception. This is a brand new hotel (as of June 5, 2014) and everything is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful and of course the property is… well…brand new! I had a marvelous experience here and will be sure to stay here next time I’m in the area. No problems or issues at all… highly recommended, you can’t go wrong here.
