I had tooth that either needed to be removed and replaced with an implant or a serious root canal. Dr. Gotlieb was referred to me by my regular dentist for an evaluation. He examined my tooth and determined that my tooth could be saved– something that others thought was impossible. He was very patient with me and professional. It took several treatments of antibiotics but ultimately we were able to save my tooth while my regular dentist was able to put the crown on for me. Working with his office was a breeze. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who needs a root canal.

My first experience with his office, even before my root canal, was a bad one.
Today before my route canal I received a voicemail from the office telling me that they need a $ 550 deposit even though my insurance covers the procedure 100%.
This just reeks of scam to me. I called my insurance to confirm and yes they do cover this procedure 100%.
The doctor’s office even called me back to say that they had confirmed that the procedure was covered 100% but they still need the deposit just in case my insurance company doesn’t pay them.
I have never had any doctors office of any kind including specialists ask for a deposit for treatment when I have full health insurance and full dental insurance.
Since they didn’t tell me about this deposit until the day before my treatment I have no choice but to go in for the root canal as my chances of getting a root canal performed by anybody else on New Year’s Eve are zero.

Had to go have a difficult root canal finished up. Dr. Gotlieb was fantastic. He’s a very nice man who puts his patients at ease and explains precisely what he’s doing. My root canal was completely pain-​free and I was done in 45 minutes. His assistant seemed a bit harassed. I’m not sure if the practice is currently understaffed or if she was just having a bad day, but I still wouldn’t hesitate to go back if I needed another procedure that my regular dentist thought warranted a specialist’s attention.
