I am a huge fan of this restaurant! Service is always good and staff is always friendly. I am a huge fan of phở and need it every Sunday for my Sunday Scaries. I heard from word of mouth that this place had phở! I tried it out and I loved it. The bowl of phở is huge with lots of meat, noodles and broth. Now I know to share with my boyfriend instead. I love their specialty rolls, the dynamite and the sleeping beauty are my personal favorites. The summer rolls are… probably their weakness. They are very not good looking in presentation, needs lettuce, cilantro. Seems as though it’s just noodles and shrimp and some bean sprouts. IT needs to be more full of flavor and a chunkier peanut sauce. Seems very generic. The roti canai is great. Not a big fan of the chunks of chicken in the curry, but it’s good.

My favorite sushi place in the area. An incredibly generous lunch special and delicious rolls. The staff is wonderful, very attentive, and always accommodating. This is very much a family run operation and it shows in the great care put into every aspect of the restaurant. Yummy Sushi has become a ritual for my group of friends and we always have an excellent time. I would affectionally call Yummy Sushi the true neighborhood sushi restaurant.

Went for lunch special… A good value($ 8.51 Inc tax) but a very limited selected of rolls(what no spicy tuna in the lunch special?) the food had decent flavor but the California roll, while very large, was very heavy on the rice. They got my order wrong but were nice and accomodating, apologized and fixed quickly. The place was empty as other reviewers have observed. I wonder if they’ll stick around. I did notice that a Yummy sushi is opening at tcnj campus town so I’m guessing this place is popular with students.

We went here for my birthday last week and were very happy with our meals. Three of us shared a large plate of sushi rolls and sashimi; pieces were large and very fresh. My parents had the beef teriyaki and chicken teriyaki, which I tasted and both were fabulous. The veggies on the side were so fresh and crunchy. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. We will be back.

Their restaurant name says it all. If you want some delicious sushi, come here. If you want some yummy phở, by all means please do come here too! They serve large portions of fresh sushi and they have some of the best menu items that are non-sushi. The interior décor is quite nice too and the food is something I can never get sick of.

Open from 11 – 9 everyday! I had no idea there was great phở in mercer county! Defiantly stop by and check it out if your craving Vietnamese food and/or sushi! So happy I found this place, I will be a regular when I’m in town!

I want to start by saying this has always been my favorite local sushi joint ever since it opened. But today something went wrong. I called for I normally do. The wait was longer than normal but for good food I don’t mind. Tempura roll, spicy tuna roll and some pepper tuna. When I got there the place was empty but my order was ready. When I opened it, the 2 rolls were tucked into the normal sized box, but they seemed to be too big. I had to destroy the first one to get it out. Bummer. And they were weirdly warm. As I continued to eat, each piece completely fell apart as I tried to pick them up. The taste was ok I guess, but the temperature made it less than appetizing. And eating sushi that has fallen apart doesn’t do it for me. Only finished half before deciding it wasn’t worth it. Not sure. They’ve always been good. Maybe they have somebody new running the kitchen.

Best sushi in Mercer that I know, and I try every place imaginable. Rolls are very generous in size, especially«regular» rolls like salmon avocado. Only $ 8.51 for lunch special and massive portions. Love this place. Nemo roll is pricy but one of my favorites and also very generous portion. Only complaint: It’s freezing inside during winter months. I have no idea why they don’t turn on the heat. You have to wear your coat inside, which the main hostess herself does! She’ll take your order with her coat on! Weird tiny distraction but sushi is fantastic. Best I can find around here.(Especially since Kenji in Hamilton changed owners.) Best sushi in all New Jersey remains Sushi Lounge( ) in Hoboken, Totowa, and Morristown. But such a hike for us in Mercer.

After trying the sushi, Yummy remains 3 Stars. It is true as others say that the rolls are larger than in most fish houses. By larger, I mean in circumference and in size of the component parts. Yet, while the fish seemed fresh, they did not offer a pronounced flavor beyond the sauce that was drizzled on top and the Soy/Wasabi/Ginger accompaniments. Too, the Wasabi was the mass produced green variety that most offer, and the Ginger was the artificially colored orange, rather than the actual white of natural Ginger. It was adequate and fresh, but certainly far from best of breed that is available only a short distance away. The family is very pleasant, and the hostess friendly and helpful. Her husband does the artistry, while the kids and grandmother sit nearby, making it feel somewhat like I was eating in their dining room. Not bad, but not exceptional. When convenience is the primary factor, it serves its purpose well.

The food is absolutely delicious, but they should consider renaming the place«Slow Sushi». Don’t ever go there if you’re hungry, because you’ll wait forever for your food– it’s not a one time thing either, it’s very slow every time. By all means, this review is not meant to sway you from going to Yummy Sushi, just to advise that you call in your order before going there to eat it and to pack some trail mix and other filling snacks for the car ride.

I was looking for a good sushi place after moving to Ewing and was delighted to find this place close by. My first order here was the Red Sunset and spider roll. The rolls were presented neatly on a plate and as mentioned earlier the portions were generous. The sushi was delicious and definitely fulfilling. The fish tasted fresh and the soft crab was crispy and not too doughy. I’ve ordered the same order for takeout several times since then — it’s kind of addictive and not inexpensive!

My favorite place for sushi! Sushi rolls are HUGE and amazing! They also run a great lunch special of 2 rolls and miso soup for $ 8. Very friendly as well!

I have never sat down for a meal here, but this my go to sushi(and Asian food) takeout place! All of the rolls I have had have tasted fresh and are much larger than your average sushi places. Any specialty roll is generally a whole mouthful per peice and if you get the lobster roll you can’t fit the peices all in your mouth at once! They are huge(you get 4) and hard to manage with chopsticks, but it has become one of my favorite rolls. I also love any of there regular maki sushi, the TCNJ roll, the rock and roll and the east roll. I highly recommend any of those. I also am madly in love with their wonton soup! I have never had such delicious wonton soup anywhere, this is the king of wonton in my book! The broth is so flavorful and not overly salty and the dumplings have super thin, melt in your mouth dough and the meat is always tasty and never grissly. Give it a try, it’s definitely worth it. The other Asian food available has also been consistently good. The veggies are always fresh and crispy, unlike many take out Chinese places, and they may be pricier, but the quality is worth the extra money in my book. I have greatly enjoyed their lo mein, Thai crispy chicken and the general Tso’s chicken.

Yummy sushi lives up to its name. Not only are the rolls creative, huge but delicious. Lots of sushi places have creative rolls but they don’t taste good. The service is always amazing with a quiet ambience that works for a date or family meal. You can’t beat the price. Where Oishi in Newtown fails completely, Yummy takes the place.

By far the best sushi I’ve had in a long long time. A friend reco’d this place and it’s truly amazing. The amount of fish in each roll is awesome and the rolls all together HUGE.

Yummy Sushi is a small, family run business… actually I think the family might live in the back of the restaurant, but that’s besides the point. We’ve been going to Yummy for weekday lunches for years now, and they never disappoint. Food is always good, and more than enough to fill you up. The chicken curry is actually my favorite, and as everyone else says, the Phở here is amazing. Pricing on sushi is a bit high in my mind, but it’s very true that the size of the rolls they give you are HUGE. Most times one roll is enough to fill me up(and I’m a self proclaimed fat kid!). Overall I would definitely recommend giving Yummy Sushi a try!

The sushi here is delicious! Each piece(especially from the special rolls) is almost twice the size of sushi from any other restaurant. Im from North Jersey and still cannot find a sushi restaurant as good as Yummy. Try their Phở and curry chicken too. You won’t regret it!

I’ve been here many times over the past few years and at first I really hated going there. I remember having really slow service one time even though we were the only ones in the restaurant and the food being unspectacular. However, I’ve recently been coming more often and I’m happy to say that my opinions on this place have completely turned for the better. This speaks volumes for how good their sushi and some of their other food is. The prices on their special sushi rolls may seem a bit high(~$ 13), but the size of the sushi rolls are huge and are well worth the price. I recommend the New Moon and the Nemo, as these are two of my favorites. Other non-sushi things I items i have tried were the chicken katsu-don and the phở. They give you huge portions and are both quite delicious. This is a family run restaurant and as a family that probably spends all day at the restaurant, they have their kids around the restaurant doing their homework and occasionally taking order or ringing you up. This actually reminded me of myself as a kid, loitering around my parent’s restaurant, getting in the way at times, so I didn’t mind this one bit. Other people may not have the same sentimentality, but for the most part the kids are quiet and do not disrupt the business.

This place has raving reviews and I soon as I walked in I was completely confused, and wondering if it was the same fabulous place that these people had eaten at. There was a strange couple sitting to the side and for a Fri night the place was extremely empty. It looked like a nicer Chinese restaurant. I didn’t know what size the sushi rolls would be so I stuck with the chinese food. I got the sweet and sour shrimp and my friend got General Tso’s Chicken. The sweet and sour shrimp was ok, there was no choice of rice and brought about 6 large shrimps and that’s it for $ 12. My friend’s portion was much larger, not impressive either. This is not a place that I would be coming back to… maybe the sushi is better, but by the mere look of the place I didn’t want to have it. Plus prices weren’t that cheap, considering it was about $ 13 a roll.

I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. There aren’t many other decent options in the Ewing area so my friends and I always end up here. Rolls are huge, prices are decent but I usually stick to cooked items. I’ve been disappointed with their raw stuff in the past but I find I can make do with spicy tuna. My friend loves their noodles and they always look/smell really good. Service is nice, if a little chaotic with kids(the owners’ I’m assuming?) running around. BYOB.
