They were at the Makeke Kapolei Farmers Market @ Kapolei High School(Thursday 3−630pm). Wanted to check them out for the longest time. I ordered the kalua sliders $ 7(2 sliders). It was served on a pretzel roll with a sweet relish on the top. Very messy and tasty. I was full off of 1 slider. I’d go back again.

OMG I’m addicted to the MunchieZ food truck. It’s a big Red food truck usually located at Leeward community college with the exception of Thursday. where might they be on Thursday you ask?.. Yes! the Kapolei farmers market. There menu always has a twist and a change but if your lucky you’ll find my favorites. Munchiez Fried rice, Morning mac and cheese(the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted topped with a seasoned egg) furikaki ahi and there mouth watering Monte Cristo(grilled French toast sandwich filled with a thick black forest ham and cheese) and the very popular Gummy iced tea. I’m so stuffed with delightful happiness in both my taste buds and tummy. They are the new cool place to eat at. Events like eat the streets and Honolulu night market along with other event’s and fundraiser’s have also been satisfied with there tasty treasures. I even heard they cater! Hell yes. What’s this! Insanity fries. «HOT» but delightful and just the right amount of spice for you fire breathers out there. There’s a lot of food trucks out there but this to me is top 3. Way better then going to some expensive restaurants. And there so nice and at sometimes entertaining when the cook has free time to get giggy with it to popular 90’s songs. I think I’ll order another Monte Cristo and gummy tea. Aloha Follow them on Facebook MunchieZ by sweet pea café. And there website

Gummi Bears, bouncing here and there and everywhere. High adventure that’s beyond compare, They are the Gummi Bears. Magic and mystery, Are part of their history, Along with the secret, Of gummiberry juice. –Part of GUMMIBEARSTHEMESONG If your born in the 80’s you totally know what I’m rockin up there. If not check out this link: Alcia Keys sang a beautiful cover of the song: This is the song that played in my head as I sipped on Munchiez Gummy Bear Tea. It brought me back to my childhood. If I could taste that magical, mystical juice, this is how it would taste like. It brought me back to where life was care free. When all I had to worry about was when I could get my mouth around some sweets. I still of course worry about that. When the holidays would be a count down for fun, memories, food, quality time and family. Now it’s fun, bills, memories, bills, food, bills, quality time, family, and $$$$$$$. As you can tell I am a huge fan of this drink. I’m sure you will be too if you love chomping down on some gummy bears. Other things I like about his truck: + They serve breakfast all day. This is my favorite meal of the day. + They accept credit card — However, there is an extra fee if you charge. + Morning Mac and Cheese= Mac and cheese, mixed with ground beef, topped with an egg cooked to your liking. + I spot them at different events and they usually have something different on the menu. + Munchiez was recently at the Honolulu Night Market. I tried the Furikake Ahi cooked medium rare, accompanied with rice and salad. It hit the spot. To make things even better they were giving out FREE cookies!!! Find ou where there at by checking out social media: FACEBOOK: INSTAGRAM: munchiezbysweetpeacafe TWITTER: @MunchieZbySPC They also have a website: I can’t wait to sip on that Gummi Bear Tea to help me reminisce about the good olé hanabata days. Im also hoping that they offer another dessert at the next event.

My friends and I visited this truck at the Honolulu Night. Market during the July event. The night market is a great time to try a new food truck vendor… right?! Yup. We were looking to grab something to eat before the rain poured on us and we got in line just in time. We ordered the Monte Cristo, which is essentially a sandwich made with French toast. Shut the front door… that’s right, ladies and gents… as any fan of «The 40 Year-Old Virgin» will tell you… I want some f****** French toast! I figured this would be awesome… a little bit of sweet with the French toast, and some salt, with the hand and cheese combo. Good stuff! The order also came out with little tater tot medallions too. What’s not to love? It was pretty good, but I was a little disappointed in the consistency of the French toast. It was too soft and soggy, making it difficult to eat it as a proper sandwich. I like my French toast a little crispier and less soggy. It was a mess and it fell apart while I was eating it. The tots were alright… they were actually pretty crispy, so that was good. I think that this is a great idea, but the execution needs to be worked on to make it a more pleasant dining experience. The staff was really nice, especially since they were slammed when we arrived. It was alright, but I’d probably order something else if I came back here.

Had the honor of finally eating here at the Ewa Sweet Onion Festival this past weekend after actively stalking them for the better part of a year.(Sadly their hours never matched with my schedule.) Their maple steak and eggs were a big win. Sweet, tender, and oh-so-soft, the steak was perfectly cooked to a medium and delicious. The eggs came out sunny side up(like requested) and the seasonings sprinkled across the top didn’t help in making it any less craveable for more. With a generous serving of rice hidden under, the ratio of rice, meat, and two eggs was well balanced. And as a huge onion lover I couldn’t pass up a chance to try their sweet onions in pancake batter. Definitely sweet. I don’t know why I never thought of frying them with pancake batter! The three of us were so tempted to go back and get second helpings. We just might go again this weekend just to eat here! Well worth the entry fee and plate. Did I mention their peach tea is absolutely fabulous? Due to them being true to their word and wanting to only serve their best and freshest I was turned down in ordering a gallon of it. If they only had an open position in taste testing their new recipes I’d definitely be fighting tooth and nail for standing in line for that. Can’t go wrong with MunchieZ!

There hamburger steak was delicious! It’s such a huge portion that could be shared by 2 if not 3 people. The staff is so friendly. The food is made to order so nothing sitting. I love that it’s convenient for students and food prices are definitely affordable.

I’m writing this not just l because I am getting a free drink. I come here almost every time I’m on campus. Their food is fresh and made to order. Super nice friendly people. The Bambucha breakfast is the best. Choke food and is good for two people. Yet they have special all the time. I love everything about Munchiez!!! Got my friend hooked on their gummy tea. Try everything once. You won’t be disappointed.

They’re located in Leeward Community College’s parking lot Monday-Wednesday from 10−2pm. If ur tired of the cafeteria n subway on campus, this is a great alternative. Garlic fries are so yummy n packed with fresh garlic. Awesome service n good food!

I discovered this little treasure while working over the summer at UH West Oahu. I was super stoked to hear that they would be on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Luckily the truck is there when I’m leaving school on Tuesdays and when I’m arriving on Thursdays. Anyway, their«premium brown rice» is a first for me. I was shocked when I got my plate, because it did not taste nor look like brown rice. Their gummy iced tea, and sweet peach tea are BOMB. I LOVE their loco moco!!! The owners are totally adorable and give great service. The only downside is their entrees are geared more towards breakfast. Their sides are all about lunch and stuff, but they’re just sides. I can’t wait to see what else they have in store!!!

They are currently coming to Leeward Community College on Mondays to Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm. I never new they were here but they started this semester since the first day of school. Luckily on the second day of classed I spotted an interesting looking red truck. I quickly walked over to check it out and instanly became excited to find out that Leeward now has a food truck. Anyway enough of my intro of finding this place. So apparently they do breakfast and desserts as well as some fried side food. They aaaaallll loooook gooood haha. So my goal is to try each menu item. But first, before I go in to food, I want to add some other details. First is that they do accept credit cards. This is really convenient especially when I don’t have cash on hand. However, they do have a fee for credit purchases. But the feel is like 30 cents or something small similar to that. Second, the service is really really good. The 2 people running it are really nice people. Very friendly and welcoming and you can see them working hard in that truck. They always have a big smile and they always tell me if they have a special menu item for the day or for the following day. So now for the food review. As I said the food looks good. They have some nice pics. But honestly… It’s really good. So ono haha. I love how I can order a breakfast plate in the afternoon and they got the local favorites. They have loco moco, Portuguese sausage, Vienna sausage, spam, links, eggs(mild or spicy), and fried rice. The fried rice is so good. I believe they add some mushrooms in the fried rice as well. There is also one other plate they offered that was a special, however, I didn’t eat it. They served mochiko chicken and they ran out. But from what I heard from other people it was really good. I should note that this is also when I found out that they do phone orders. I asked if they did and they said sure. So now I can reserve a plate which I thought was awesome of them to offer that. Anyway back to the grindz. So besides the plates, they have a breakfast sandwich which is pretty good. Their desserts, I haven’t eaten one yet so I can’t say. But I look forward in buying some soon. As I mentioned, they also have fried sides. I had their waffle fries, at first it seemed kinda salty, but overall it was good. I did enjoy whatever seasonings they used. They also have mozzarella sticks, it’s nothing big, but it’s still good and it’s fresh so the cheese is really nice and melted. They have a couple more sides, but the fried mushroom was the last one I tried. Oh it was very good. I introduced Munchiez to one of my managers on campus and they are in love with the fried mushrooms haha and they also really like the fries. Lastly, they have drinks. I had drank the gummy tea as well as the peach tea. I love it. The taste is soooo heavenly to me. I have to buy one everytime I go. They also have a coffee that I have yet to try that looks good. So anyway, I kinda blabbered on. In summary I love them. The food is good and the service excellent. They also are a nice change for our campus. So if you are at Leeward during their hours you should try them. I recommend getting their bungbucha breakfast plate. Not sure if I spelled it right though. But that plate is epic. With fried rice it comes out to about $ 8 something. I think it was a good deal. I also suggest trying their teas. So for service and food I give them 5 stars.
