Honestly, this was more a cooking demonstration than a cooking class. We went on a Saturday night for one of their«date nights” — French themed. We were to be making steaks, french onion soup, haricot vert, and a dessert. The only cutting we did the entire night was some garlic, a shallot, and some mushrooms. Two people out of the group of 16 got to cook the steaks, 4 out of the 16 got to cook the onions for the soup. There was a lot of standing around waiting. We didn’t make any part of the haricot vert– the instructor made that for us. As for the dessert, it turned out to be hot chocolate, that the instructor made and then served to us(in very small portions). All in all, very dissapointing. For $ 80 a person, I would have expected a more hands on experience, and portions bigger than tasting size.

While the chef and the staff were all very pleasant and the concept was great, the experience did not live up to it’s description. Felt more like you were part of a 2 hour infomercial/sales pitch for their must-have products and the sampling was far from generous, as described. We were lucky to have connected with the couple next to us who shared similar feelings. If nothing else, it made for some great laughs. Make reservations nearby for dinner, you’ll need them.
