Terrible.
I went on ⁴⁄₁₂ and checked out an apartment. I liked it turned in the application with a $ 30 application fee that same day. I got multiple calls on ⁴⁄₁₄ (voice messages) saying the apartment was all mine and that an email would be sent over so I can fill out the lease agreement. When I got the email multiple things were wrong, lease starting date, when rent was due, when the deposit was dude, the amount for rent, ect. I emailed back and got a call and email the next day saying «you are correct, make the changes and send it back in still.»
The next day I sent another email asked if they could make an arrangement for me to pay half the deposit now to hold it and the other half the day I move in with rent. I was thinking it was a fair arrangement to ask cause they still get FULL payment before I move in, and also a deposit to know I am serious on the apartment. I even mentioned on the email that I would rather split it just to not be all out of pocket almost a month before I moved in. I never received any communication back.
Today I send the lady a text message asking if she ever got my email. She simply responded «It has been rented.» I let her know it would have been nice to have been gotten back to. She then went on and on about me not being prepared, and making personal and financial attacks about me. She had my banking information and also ran credit, she knows my financial situation is solid, clearly. I have money for the deposit and if she just simply responded to my first email saying «we are unable to do that arrangement» I would have done the full deposit, I just don’t find it necessary to pay a deposit and rent a month in advance.
Very unprofessional. Very shady. Avoid.
[I am keeping all communications just incase something weird happens to my banking information or credit in anyway. Kind of seems like that kind of business that would do something like that.]
