Evergreen Discount Liquors

Planned a really nice birthday dinner for my girlfriend who’s turning TWENTY TWO in two days. Spent 15 minutes picking out mix and match beer. When I got to the register we realized we had forgotten to bring her ID. We drove 20 min home in the pouring rain and 20 minutes back to get the beer we had invested our time selecting. We made it to the door 5 minutes before closing time. We knocked on the door and the lady looked right at us and walked to the back of the store. We had even called to let them know we were coming back. Both employees were extremely rude when we had tried explaining that she was not under age. Very disappointing that a small town neighborhood store has such poor customer service. Will not be doing business with them again.

This is my go to place when I am in need of wine. They have an excellent wine selection and great prices. It’s perfectly placed next to the Evergreen Safeway so I can grocery shop first and then pick the wine to compliment my dinners planned for the week. They also have my hard to find pear cider from Woodchuck. The people are friendly and they know wine.

I am reviewing their cigar selection. Not what I expected. Most liquor stores have at best a dozen or so cigars. I happen to read a review about the store having a walk-​in humidor. I expected a closet size humidor.
They have a humidor that rivals most cigar shops. Full size walk-​in with a great selection of mid to upper end cigars. I refilled my portable 20 stick humidor. I purchased several sticks (reflecting my taste not representative of many more choices): Ashton, Cohiba, Montecristo, Torrano, Drew Estate, My Fathers Cigars, and Onyx. They also had several newer brands and releases. I also got 2 tins of smaller sticks.
If you’re a cigar smoker and are in the area well worth the time to stop by. Excellent choices at close to online prices. Only down side is this is retail store and they don’t have a sitting area. Just a place to get good smokes at a good price.
They also have a large selection beer, wine, and alcohol. I’ll leave that review to the drinkers out there.

Evergreen Discount Liquors has been an Evergreen mainstay since before I was born and luckily they have updated the store many times since then. It is a great store with the best selection in foothills. There is everything there from a giant wine and craft beer selection to a boatload of mixers and liquors. The service is always helpful and the price is always right.

As I was faced with this predicament this past weekend, staring down the 100 or so beautiful, individual bottles of craft beer in their BYO cooler, I realized that I was having enough fun to Unilocal about it. Not only do they have a mega selection and enough microbrew labels to last a lifetime, they offer them at discount prices in a super clean store with attentive service. No keg cattle calls in this quiet enclave, just glowing stocks of just about any liquor, beer and wine imaginable, plus a specialty gift section, cigar room and high-​dollar wine room. It’s been an Evergreen staple for years, but they recently renovated (3 years ago?) when the Safeway next door did the same and have since shot up in quality and service. AND they do free wine tastings Friday nights and beer tastings Saturday nights back in their tasting room, albeit sporadically. The location is a bit far off the highway, but next time you’re up for a hike or walk around the lake in tha EVG, skip all other stores and head straight for this one.

This is the best liquor store in the state, as far as I’m concerned. Just as good a selection as Applejack, without the craziness. And the friendliest and most helpful staff, several of whom are incredibly knowledgeable about their respective field (ie wine or beer).
