THE Majestic Café has remodeled the former Flying Pig and is has moved to this location as of yesterday… Looks good and the customer’s looked very happy!

They are closed — apparently due to a tax lien. The Everett Herald has more details.

Service is soooooooooo slow! We arrived around 4pm left around 11:30pm the place was empty the entire except from 5:30 to 7:30 and we have had to hunt the waitress down all night in order to get drinks. We went here for an unofficial Xmas event with my husbands coworkers. I will never come here again.

When The Flying Pig opened years ago, it was a great place. The food was decent to good, and they brewed their own beers. In addition, they had lots of rotating taps to compliment their own brews. My friends and I used to go every week or two. Then the quality of the food went down… Then they removed their beer brewing machinery… Then… So I received an email from Open Table that they have got a new owner. I went to their website to see a new menu and photos of food that made me start activating my salivary glands. Time to go check it out. I give them credit for having local beers on tap. That is the best compliment I can muster after dinner there tonight. Slow service(which is okay when you want to chill out), a small tap menu, and the food??? Same horsesh*t they’ve been serving for the last few years. The website gives you a sense that they have an actual chef. Completely misleading advertising. The menu is a scaled-back version of the same menu they’ve had since they opened years ago. The quality is great for canines, but won’t impress you unless you are a McDonald’s regular. My friend and I said that we’d even tolerate the piss-poor food if they had a great beer menu, but they can’t even compensate with that much. It bums me out that a once-good establishment in Everett is a waste of space(the place is HUGE and virtually empty the last two times I visited which should give you a good indication of what you will get for your money). Don’t bother. Seriously.

Service is SLOW. Mediocre food. Questionable Musak. Went before a hockey game, glad we came early. ended up leaving after a beer. The staff just didn’t seem to care that we might be hungry or ready to order. never going back there! ended up at Gordita’s(walking distance) and had an awesome burrito and a margarita.

From what I can remember, this place was ‘okay’. It’s a tad bit overpriced on certain orders, but the twisted reuben that I ordered met satisfactory. I wouldn’t mind trying this place again since it has been years since I’ve been there.

Beer sampler, snacky foods and chat time… Did you know there’s Bud Light in the Beer Sampler? Okay, enough about the beer. You can understand where this is going(although there were at least 3 out of the 10 that were worthy of a Beer Sampler). Snacky foods were awesome. We were a crew of 8 and ordered a 2nd round of appetizers since they were so nummy. We had hoped to chat after the show at Everett Historical. It seems that the speaker volume nob on the Karaōke machine had died and full freakin volume was the only thing left. We hid in the far front corner away from the singing and screeching and still had to yell to hear each other. The ambiance is great, the food is great, the people are friendly. The specialty beers are good, the sampler is a waste of money. The singing is painful and far far far too loud!

Come here to hear the worst Karaōke you’ve ever heard on Saturday. Some were good.

I’m glad I didn’t have time to look up the Unilocal reviews before we chose this place. From the reviews, I’m guessing they have trouble keeping a stable and talented staff. Fortunately we had a great experience. We had 15 to feed in a flash in downtown Everett(had to be in walking distance of an event), so two of us tried to scout out the neighborhood. Though several places were attractive for smaller groups, we needed a mainstream menu and some place that would tolerate a wide age range. TFP worked out great. We had a great meal! Of course, we took menus ahead of time but no one had a chance to review them before we got there. We warned the staff we’d need to get in and out in an hour, and they were on top of it. The service was great, the food was very good. I had a seafood fettucini that was delicious, even though it was missing any of the dungeness crab that was highlighted in the menu description. The first round of soft drinks were discovered to be without syrup and three people worked on getting that fixed asap. We had that kind of attention the whole meal! Amazingly, we were all happily fed and out of there in just over an hour! Great Job Flying Pig! Thanks.

HORRIBLE! My friends and I went to this establishment on Saturday night, really hungry and excited for some food. What a big fat disappointment right from the get-go. The waitress, although very nice, was the slowest person I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. The drinks took FOREVER and then the waitress took even longer to take our food order. I’m a vegetarian and the options at this restaurant were very limited. I went with the hummus platter and a green salad. The salad was very yummy, but then again, it’s kind of hard to screw up lettuce. The hummus on the other hand was the most terrible hummus I’ve ever had. It was really cold and tasted more like Fritos bean dip than hummus. Needless to say… I will NEVEREVER go back to this restaurant. BOOOOOOO!

Feels like they have everything they need for a great place… meh Parking is okay, we went with 20+ people, car pool and got some street parking. No wait, cuz we made reservations like 3 weeks in advance. Table ready and chairs and everythign was peachy king… First thing. water and menus… quick and on time! … … … Okay lets order… um drinks and appetizers… some one from the back came out to refill waters… … okay lets order food… … … … refill water… … all the food comes out at once in about 35 minutes… WTF really? I think with a group that large as long as 4 – 6 people are served, they can start eating, no need to wait for all 20 plates are ready and bring them out cold. … refill the water… get the check… now we get the drinks… meh. place sucks… you figure after reserving the place for lunch, they would have 1 – 2 more in the place, not that guy from the back. The best part was one of our loud mouths, started to give them a bad report card, and ended up doing it, which was rightfully so, but after we all got back together, apparently they gave us a big discount… ah whatever, I wont be back.

They have good brew on tap — that’s what the 1 star is for. Everything else about this place is the pits. The service is s-l-o-w(do NOT come here before an event) and waitstaff is horrible. The food is overspiced, overcooked and expensive.

I took my family here after hanging out at the Everett Children’s Museum. I was super excited when I saw it from accross the street. It drew us in with a lot of promise. Once inside we were seated promptly but had to move chairs and a table around to accommodate our group of 8.(4 adults, 2 kid, 2 toddlers in high chairs). We were brought some water and handed menus. 10 minutes later we still had not been asked for any help. Now we are patient customers but with small children our patience doesn’t last long as they can only sit still for so long. After getting up and finding our waitress we ordered FINALLY. It was a good 40 minutes from the time we walked in the door until our food showed up. I ordered the Caprese chicken sandwhich. It was the most disgusting sandwhich I have ever had. The chicken was literally BLACK from being burnt and it was so over cooked that I had to take the chicken out and cut off the entire edge of the chicken just to make it somewhat edible. Had I had the luxury of not having children that were already ready to go I would have sent it back to the kitchen. I just stomached it and ate about 1⁄3 of the sandwich. I felt sick all the way home to Redmond. The kids food came out so hot that I literally BURNT my mouth testing it for my 20 month old. I am so thankful that I tested it first otherwise I would have had a very burnt baby. They must have taken the chicken nuggets out of the frier and immediately brought it to us. The poor girl helping us was completely useless. She admitted it was her 3rd day on the job. She was very nice but was totally overwhelmed and would disappear into the back room for 5+ minutes at a time. We ended up having to get up to get our own napkins, etc… I felt bad for her though as it is obvious that the management is NONEXISTENT and the poor girl was doing the best she could without anyone to help her. The place was run down, carpet was disgustingly dirty, and the Men’s restroom REEKED of urine smell. I’m never ever going to go back to this place. I wasted $ 45 paying for a disgusting meal where we all left feeling hungry, sick and sad that we wasted our time and money there. The ONLY thing this place is good for is to grab a beer… and if you want to watch your favorite sporting event forget it because their TVs are CIRCA1985 and poorly positioned and probably playing NASCAR. In fact to show you how bad it was… It prompted me to go here and sign up for an account just so I could leave this feedback.

I went here before a hockey game recently. Our waitress was nice, nothing over the top. The food was ok, but overpriced in my opinion. They changed their pig sauce, which used to be BBQ sauce and mayo mixed, which was great with the waffle fries. Now the pig sauce is gross and weird tasting. They will mix up the old version for you if you ask. I had the aloha burger, only with chicken. The bun was huge! But it was airy, so it squished down. The chicken was very thin and tasteless. The pineapple… not the ring I expected… it was chunks from a can! Weird. Perhaps other items are better. The pulled pork, fish and chips and BLT sandwich my friends had all looked better.

This would have been a 3 star experience and it has been in the past but they have a several things working against them. * They changed the menu: bring back the Mango Bango… it sure felt like a local favorite when I was there. * Prices are increased around what it will cost you at Red Robin. A burger will put you back 10 bucks. * Service hasn’t improved. It wasn’t amazing then and it is not amazing now. This could be your spot for a beer but with the Irish pub next door and Tailgater Joe’s down the street, would the Flying Pig be your choice?

The pigs don’t fly here for me and neither does the staff. If you have hours of time, come on in… the staff is slow and so is the service. I wasn’t too impressed with the food, either. I don’t drink beer, the drink I did have was lame, not anything good to say about this place for me. Won’t go back.

We have been to the Pig on many occasion over the last 7 years, never during«happy hour» or events, just for dinner and drinks with friends. It has grown in a direction that bores us — as a previous reviewer mentioned«restaurant serving pub fare and the same beers nearly all the other bars in the Northwest». SO true. Those who waited on us for food were always friendly, knowledgeable and personable. The bartenders on occasion(3 out of 5 in the last 2 months) appear to get flustered or too busy, and sometimes have smarmy going on, lol. The mixed drinks we ordered were quite tasty and strong. The beer selection nothing original. The sandwiches were tasty, but not worth the price if you are looking for the quality of a place like 74th Alehouse at the same coin. The ribs were not impressive, and the salad dressing comes out of a tub, and one of our guests had an MSG reaction(oops, should have asked) We just figure most people make their own dressing/sauces these days? ah well… If you have to make a choice on Colby and you need the comfort of easy dining, go Pig, otherwise head down to the waterfront.

I have never eaten here, but the drinks are cheap and the beer is good, with a nice selection of popular and micro beers. Both times I’ve been staff have been friendly and service has been quick and efficient. On my last visit I spilled my half drank beer and the bar tender brought me a new one for no charge. Again, I haven’t eaten here so I can’t comment on the food but if you stuck in Everett this isn’t a bad place to get a drink.

The Flying Pig is a downtown Everett legend. They were one of the first stable downtown restaurants and they have contributed so much to the community. It is a fun, relaxed place. It has a neighborhood feel with a big long bar, fresh brewed beers on site, outdoor patio seating, booths and tables for large groups, TVs with sports playing, friendly staff and servers, and delicious food ranging like burgers and salads. What also makes this place great is all the friendly customers. When you go into the Flying Pig, you feel like one big family and find yourself chatting with the table next to you. Warm fuzzy feelings(not creepy ones) at The Fly Pig and always a good time!
