Tammy Nails

Love this place. By far the best nail work and wax ever. Been going for years. Super friendly. Feel more like a family friend then just a customer. And when I bring my daughter she has a daughter she gets to play with. Also the designs are incomparable to any other place I’ve been.

Sense I’ve started getting my acrilic nails done, I haven’t found a salon that I was truly impressed by until now, let alone ever went back to a salon more than once.
Let’s start with the location, if you blink you might miss it. The outside is deceiving and blends in with the rest of the shops on the corner of 41^st and Rucker.
When walking in first hesitant because of its appearance, I was pleasantly surprised with beautiful leather pedicure chairs lining the wall, and marble and silver manicure tables also with more than comfortable leather chairs on the opposite side of the room.
I was greeted by the owner of the salon, Tammy. A beautiful Vietnamese woman dressed in stylish clothing and gorgeous nails. Of course a reassurment that I’d come to the right place.
She first asked me to sit down at her table before she soon followed. Of course asking me what I wanted which was originally just to fix two nails that had lifted off and a fill with a new accent nail design.
She started taking off my nail polish and filed my nails down to prepare for the fill. She soon noticed my last set was lifting and said that she could still do a fill but because the original acrilic was lifting it would likely come off the the who before.
So knowing that I got a new set, and let me tell you. I LOVE them! They are thin but have the arch across the stress line of the nail unlike my last ones that broke at the tip on several fingers.
Then to top it off she told me what I should watch out for when having my nails done to make sure they are quality.
For my nail art I asked her for all seahawks, and she painted them on without even looking at a picture. I was really suprised by the skill it takes to pain something that small let alone the Seahawks symbol.
I was so extremely excited about my nails, and just the care and time she took on them.
It’s rare when you meet someone who enjoys the tedious effort.
I’ll DEFINITELY be coming back again and again!

Worst place EVER. do not come here. One girl doing my nails with out a license. Her license isn’t on the wall or anywhere in salon. She says her license is at home. This is illigal. Won’t ever go back. Another Co worker yelling at me saying that the one without license doesn’t have to answer… totally unprofessional. 12/​22/​2014 6 p.m. The worst part of this experience was her co-​worker. Long haired lady with an attitude from HELL. This place needs to be shut down.

Update 12÷26÷15: Forget about the part where I said my uncle worked there. Our whole family hates him now.
I gave this place 5 stars for the humor of my last trip. My aunt used to work here, she came in to trade off cars with my uncle who currently works there. I don’t care if they worked there or not. The 5 stars is because when she came in, she just started doing a pedicure for someone else and acting like a real worker! As I am typing this, she is still working. I’m just sitting on the couch and waiting for her. I heard that they remodeled this place a while back. It’s better now.

I like to get my nails done here, but only by the head nail tech. If the other lady does my nails they come out looking smudged, or have massive bubbles in the acrylic. However, she does amazing pedicures.
The prices are unbeatable compared to anywhere else I have had my nails done in town, and the girls are super friendly.
