Northwest Staffing Resources

I replied to a craigslist ad for a position that was almost identical to a job in which my contract was ending for another staffing agency, so I applied thinking how wonderful it was since I loved the job I was doing. I scheduled the interview for later that week (Friday1), was told that I should be able to start by the Friday following (Friday2), which was two days after my contract ended, and I desperately needed money. The Wednesday following my interview with the agency, I was informed that they had not heard back from the original company, but they had a short-​term temp position that would go from that Friday (Friday2) to the next Friday (Friday3). I accepted the short-​term contract expecting that sometime the week I was working there, I would have an answer or at least be able to set up an interview for the original company. The short-​term position wound up only being 5 days instead of 6, and now, a month and several emails/​calls to the agency later, I still have not heard about the original job, have been ignored or rudely answered by Joanne (who was my «recruiter») and have seen the ad posted on CL several times since. At this point, I’m sure there was no job to begin with.
