A friend and I decided to try this cool new little restaurant down on the waterfront for drinks and appetizers! When we walked in, we knew we were going to enjoy our Evening! The atmosphere is just so cool and the food is excellent. We ordered 4 appetizers & drank 2 beers each and the bill was only $ 36. Their Happy Hour menu is superb and very inexpensive. We were treated special and the waiter, Gary, was very informative. This is now my favorite little spot that I plan to frequent.

Loved it! Very quaint on the waterfront in Everett right next door to Anthony’s. Very prompt, friendly service. The food… YUM! We shared everything… first onion soup and the miso soup. The onion soup had fried onion straws in it and was delicious. The miso had 3 whole Manila clams in it and the flavor was awesome! Next came out the short ribs… a must have! Super good, and very tender. The sauce was perfect. Then came the pork belly… holy buckets, if you love pork belly, you have to try this. This sauce was quite good and both these dishes made me wish I had more. Lastly we had the spicy basil soba dish with chicken. It was good, but not as spicy as I had anticipated. All dishes are sharing size, so order 4 – 5 to split with someone else, unless you get noodles like we did. The portion is large, and after all 3 of our plates, we left full, but not stuffed. We didn’t have dessert, but the coconut cheesecake the next table over looked amazing! Will be back for sure :)

My friend wanted to try this place and being she offered to treat went for it. Huge mistake-even HH prices did not make worth,$ 16 for 3 tapas maybe suitable for 1. First off the fries were NOT crisp. Calamari was slimy and smelled fishy. The beef shortribs were gristly. We ended up next door and had a gourmet maine lobster tail DINNER for $ 19.95!Maybe we should have ordered alcohol? Just glad this fiasco didn’t cost me!

This is a wonderful place and if you can get a window seat it’s even better. Marvelous service and exceptional food. Rather small but that makes it more intimate. Great place to take a date.

Food was great and service was impeccable. The place is very small and intimate. I would suggest making reservation for large parties. We had the soft shell crab, ahi poke(favorite!), agedashi tofu, vegetable tempura, and the crispy green bean. All were delicious and delivered quickly after putting in our orders. Definitely a gem in this part of Everett.

There are so many stellar 5 star reviews for this place that I hope no one will be disappointed with me as I give it my honest 4 stars. I had been eyeing this place ever since it popped up on Unilocal with 4 reviews. I watched that number grow to 77 before it was finally my turn to come here for my birthday! Moontree does take reservations and I highly recommend it so that you can snatch a spot for happy hour(4:30−6:30PM). The table was reserved and was placed right by the window so you can see the gorgeous view. Although it was pretty dark and rainy by the time I got there, the view was still peaceful. The interior is a bit on the dark side with warm lighting. It is a pretty small, intimate place which would be a great spot for a date night. It’s pretty warm inside as well so wearing a strapless dress will not be a problem for all your ladies that want to dress up. Moontree is a tapas place which means smaller portions but easily shareable. The«smaller portions» here seem a bit on the bigger side though, and each is beautifully garnished and presented. It made me feel like I was eating at a fine dining place without having to pay the hefty fee. Between two really hungry eaters, I shared 11 different plates(including 2 desserts!). Albacore Ceviche — The albacore is so, so delicious in this dish. The ceviche itself comes with an «Asian salsa» which was bursting with flavor. I found it to be heavier on the sour lime taste though. The crispy onion in this dish really added great texture. Shishito Peppers(HH) — After seeing so many of these, I wanted to try them. These are peppers have oyster sauce, sesame oil and crushed garlic. The oyster sauce is really prominent and I found there to be a bit too much. These were really salty in my opinion. I did enjoy the pieces of crushed garlic though! Really crunchy! Crispy Rice with Mixed Spicy Fish(HH) — This was one of the most interesting dishes I have ever tried. The rice is really crispy but is surprisingly easy to bite your teeth into(no breaking teeth here!). The mixed spicy fish has a spicy mayo kind of taste to it but I appreciated all the flaky fish on top. The lotus chip on top adds a beautiful garnish and great textural crunch. Jalepeno Hamachi — The yellowtail was so silky and although this dish is labeled spicy, the thin slices of jalepeno will not leave your mouth burning. There is a nice small kick from them and the cilantro helps to tone it down. They are laying in a ponzu sauce which adds some flavor to it. Salmon Carpaccio — This one was one of my favorites of all the dishes. The salmon is so fresh and just melts in your mouth. It comes with some microgreens and tomatoes that help to freshen up the palette. The soy truffle sauce is also a great pairing with the salmon. Soft Shell Crab — If you love crab, then this little dish is yummy! You get three pieces of fried crab and some small veggies. The crab was delicious but I found it to be a bit too oily from the frying. Popcorn Salmon(HH) — These are really interesting! They aren’t too crisp on the outside but have a great salmon flavor. The only thing was that they were drowning in the creamy sauce so it made it really heavy. Sashimi Set(HH) — Amazing price for six pieces of fish(salmon, yellowtail and tuna). All pieces of fish were fatty and super fresh! Calamari(HH) — These were lightly battered which didn’t make them feel as heavy. The sauce is like an olive oil-pesto sauce? I found it to be heavier on the olive oil side and preferred to eat them without the sauce. Lava Cake(Tonight’s special) — The lava cake comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which is a great pairing to warm chocolate cake. I expected the cake to have a molten center, but it did not. It was slightly more raw, but not oozing and gooey. Coconut Cheesecake — The cheesecake itself does not seem to have any coconut, but the crust has some coconut shavings. The whipped cream also seems to have coconut in it.(Loved the whipped cream!). This is a hefty portion and comes beautifully garnished with flowers. Cheesecake is really creamy. Service was wonderful. The owner here is very kind, patient and makes great recommendations. She makes sure that you’re enjoying everything. Price wise — each dish ranges from HH prices of $ 3 to dishes being close to $ 15. Don’t expect to dine cheaply here since it is a tapas place with intricate flavors and very fresh ingredients. Although the place didn’t completely«wow» me, I thought it was the perfect place for my birthday none the less!

Hello Unilocalers! I had heard from a friend about this place and thought I’d try it with my wife for a date night. Needless to say I was more than impressed with the EXCELLENT service and the great explanation of the menu and Sake options. It was a great experience all around. The food is amazingly different than your typical Asian fare. We are the type of people that like to be adventurous. With that, we will sometimes ask the sever to surprise us with food options, and we did here. So we ended up with having a sampler dinner course dinner. All the items showed the Chef’s(Moon) capabilities of his own interpretation of Asian food variety and wonderful tastes. The food combinations were excellent and our mouths were sent into a wonderful twirl of excitement with every bite! If you would like to experience this«sampler» it is recommended you call ahead. I cannot tell you enough how great the food and service was. I am looking forward to coming back and experiencing what else this chef can do, and of course have the great service once again. Thank you for the great night

Delicious tapas, gracious hostess with a casual yet 5-star ambience. How do they do it? I enjoyed the scenery through the huge waterfront windows while I waited for my baked cod tapas for lunch with crunchy tempura veggies. The waitress brought a special glass water bottle and filled my glass. I enjoyed the attention to detail in the decór, the natural accents, and the view of course! Miso soup — delicious, salty and a little briny but not too much. Tempura — the sauce(prepared in-house) made this an interesting dish. It interacted differently with each veggie, making it an adventure that took me by surprise. I especially enjoyed the white root vegetable(taro root maybe?) which interacted with the sauce to create a sort of floral note that intrigued me. I’m sure I will be craving that again soon. Baked cod — this tapas dish came replete with pickled onion, which had a slightly moldy taste in my opinion. I loved the cod, presented in a banana leaf and with sweet miso paste topped with sesame seeds as an accent/sauce to the side. The waitress offered a rice bowl on the side. I think she read my mind! I ended up not having dessert but may bring a friend and come here for tea and dessert soon! The selection looked impressive and inventive. I will definitely plan to visit again.

Came here because of the reviews and glad we did. We had the salmon carpaccio and the Ahi Poke, kimchi fried rice, bulgogi sliders and gyoza. All was amazing but the gyzoa was a little soggy and not homemade, but the other stuff certainly made up for it! The salmon was to die for and wish I had more! The poke was good but seaweed wasn’t my favorite. The sliders were awesome! The entrance is on the water side and even though it was a rainy day the view was still perfect. We will definitely be back and I’m excited to try the crispy rice and more salmon dishes! Please stay open! We’ll be back!

After coming here, I 100% understand why people are giving this place 5 star reviews. Oh and before I get started on reviewing how awesome everything is — let’s talk finding this place! It’s a bit hidden DEEP into the parking lot. If you find see Anthony’s Wood Fire Grill, then you’re in the right spot! Ok now on to the good stuff! The food was just plane awesome. We ordered 10 items(includes dessert) and everything tasted great and portion size were perfect! My bf and I usually never go to tapas places because the price is never worth what you get but our friend insisted and man… this place definitely changed my mind on how I feel about tapas. There wasn’t a single dish we didn’t like… from veggies, meats, seafood and dessert, everything was top notch. My favorite of all the great dishes were the Chicken Karage(really moist and tender, plus crispy, plus huge portion) and the Asari Sakamushi(steamed clam dish). Also, we just happened to come right before Happy Hour ended and their selections are awesome! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place for happy hour and/or dinner. Oh, and can’t forget the atmosphere and service — 5-friggin stars! The waiter and waitresses were really kind to us. Since we came right before HH ended, the kitchen was being backed up with orders, so I guess the wait was a little longer than usual(it was not a long wait at all) but they made sure to come out and apologize for the wait and offered us soda. I can’t wait to come back here when the weather is nicer!

The food and service is great. The view is also terrific. We ordered the hamachi which is cut as sashimi and dressed with hot olive oil, jalapeño peppers, ponzu for just the right amount of heat. The pork belly is also terrific. Drizzle the broth on top of white rice. The cauliflower is lightly breaded with the right amount of spices. Finally, the potstickers are light with just the right amount of thickness. I had the opportunity to meet the owners. They care about the quality of the food and the device. Highly recommend.

Even though the hours say open 11:30 we arrived and they said they were not open until 4:30. Was pretty sad because we drove out of our way to find the place :( We will try again another time because it looks good, but better call first to check their hours.

Went to a reenlistment ceremony in the area but opted not to eat at that bar. Did a quick search on my friendly Unilocal app and found Moontree Asian Tapas, which I had bookmarked a while ago. I decided this is where the husband and I should have lunch. The reviews are stellar. If you’re a skeptic like me. A little too stellar. 5 stars and 41 reviews??? Are you serious? The answer is a resounding YES! See how I even yelled it for your benefit? Here are the reasons why; Korubuta kakuni(pork belly) unctuous light Asian(star anise/soy) favors. Spicy edamame boiled and tossed with a healthy spoonful of sambal(garlic chili sauce). Beet salad with arugula and a sweet vinaigrette(needs a little salt). Ahi poke has great flavor with different seaweeds and topped with crispy lotus chips. Spicy basil chicken yaki soba has so much awesome flavor running from Thai to Japanese. Red bean ice cream is sweet, floral and flavorful. Black sesame ice cream has a nutty earthiness. Coconut whip cream total sweet surprise! And Beautiful waterfront views. It’s a small space and owned by a Korean American couple(husband in the kitchen and wife in the front). Ahem. Yay. My people! The food is excellent and they have military discount. It’s a tapas(small plates) restaurant so please don’t come in thinking you’re gonna spend $ 10 and be good to go. It’s worth it. The food is finessed beautifully and flavored superbly. Date night or girls night. I fully recommend it and will definitely be back.

How could I not try a place that has 30 five star reviews? Well I did, now 31 five star reviews. This place is wonderful. It’s small and is operated by husband/wife. So if it’s busy be patient. It is worth the wait. We went on a Saturday afternoon, so no wait at all. Very quick service. We started with the Spicy Edamame, best ever. Then moved on to something I’ve never had, Shishito Peppers, they were AWESOME. They created Shishito monster. I want more… Then we moved on to another best ever, the Spicy Basil Yaki Soba. You better try this one too. I can’t say enough. I believe this to be one of the best place in Everett, even more, all of Snohomish County. I can’t wait to go back and try other things, I just hope I can move away from the things I already had. That will be the tough part. DELICIOUS.

The Asian tapas here are culinary art. This is a definite date spot with a great view of the harbor and jetties. There is also a decent beer, sake, and wine collection to make the perfect pairing. Happy hour is my favorite time to come in because I order everything on the happy hour menu and still look good in front of my date while totally stuffing my face with edible masterpieces. Moontree is also a good choice if you want to impress a client, in-laws, or anyone, really. You get fine dining quality without the fine dining establishment prices and there is no dress code here. I was going to take some pictures of the plates but I started eating as soon as they hit the table because I could not resist.
